  1. He does not have any money.....that’s his training, worth a shot.

If they believe you have no money, if you can convince them,

they might let him go........sometimes it works....on this occasion

    It will not work.

if he really has no money, he will have to sit it out at the rate of

200 baht a day....so that will occupy him for 250 days...slight dampener on his year, cheap room I suppose. always a bright side.

Odds are he will find the money all of a sudden.

  2. It’s a generational change and a blurring of societies old rules that

segregated the sexes, the males were dominant.

    today things have changed/changing .

transgender was not so common to most of the old Thai visa brigade who still use the terms “ Thai wifey “ and live in the past as that’s the reality they know.

ultimately it doesn’t matter what a persons sexuality is....

you have a mental problem if you worry about other people’s sexuality.....a serious one.

personally I prefer let people be what they want to be, no concern of mine......bring on the androgynous new world.

Where humans are classified as humans......

I think all medical policies exclude AIDs. Has to be treated by your countries free medical services or at your own expense. I think in Thailand meds at least 10k THB a month

Thinking is a waste of time if you don’t think correctly....

I had a full blood test for hep c and aids about 1 year ago,

wise enough practice, was informed then that aids medication was about 2000 baht a month for non Thais...

  4. It’s clear that the government is just totall irresponsible,

they care little, if at all, for the lives of their fellow Thais.

no real need to enforce simple helmet wearing laws, easier to just let them crack their heads open, same with 3 or 4 on a bike, or a handful in the back of a pick up.....carnage and death ? Who cares.

certainly not the Thai government, they must have other pressing business to take care of......

  5. I had an English friend, he had lived here many years, but just couldn’t be bothered learning Thai....he had an issan missus to do that for him, she could speak pretty good English....however , when he ventured out on his own into a seven eleven or a chemist it was point point point , anger.....the staff get easily confused at a 6 foot tall long haired Englishman grunting pidgin thai...he would often just walk out.....he used to buy cigarette papers and he did a Charlie Chaplin like impersonation of rolling a cigarette....god it was funny....frustrating for him and also for the staff...there’s this dude shuffling his fingers , sticks them up to his mouth like he’s preening a moustache..........so funny......

  6. asking for things behind the counter, small bottle of rum, whisky, cigarettes , many things......being able to understand when they are asking you if you want the toasted sandwich heated up....do you want everything in a bag ?

    many things...

  7. It’s the burning of national parks.....what they call arson....the hotspots are everywhere.......hundreds of them , all close to chiangmai.......they burn these parks to get an increased crop of mushrooms that are very expensive, they don’t torch the mountains for fun, it’s all money driven.,,.this trade has really picked up with these mushrooms now in demand in China....The government has to ban the trade, ban the mushroom, or figure a way to cultivate them properly and cheaply....much like they did with Japanese variety mushrooms some years ago........

take away the arson and it wouldn’t nearly be so bad.....they burn all the forests around Mae Hong Son not for spite, but for mushrooms.....this new player in the smog problem needs some attention....
