  1. People who stink, don't know they stink because their receptors are used to the smell.

I'm not saying you stink but you might and not realizing it.

Dosing a stinky body with lotions and deodorants only making matters worse.

It's beyond me why you'd go into troubles of taking 4 showers per day but not changing your clothes once a day?

I like good arguments and you had the best argument of he year so far. Yes I sopped now. 1 day clothes from now on. thanx :)

  2. If you like steaks back home you will like this cuisine 110% a KLONG LOAD NIGHT MARKET walking distance from Khoasan Road. Best Steak I tried so so far. All the food is great. I'm so chocked eating at this place 2nd the and time and its always full.

So you go there order what you want, then goes for a walk in the market for 15-20 min and after there is a free table and you get your food. I'm not sure if the Thai owner lived abroad learning how do do, studied, or just got the best cooking book in the world. but I tell you its delicious. and not costly 110 baht for the pork steak, 80 baht for the cheese spinach pie, 50 Bah for the gigantic salad,110 baht for the pork chop dish.10 baht for water

Open every night from 6PM-10PM. just one thing is minus - you don't wan to eat and look at your side if you hate the small black smelly rivers inside Bangkok. wai.gif

  4. Hi. I'm using the same clothes 2 day if they don't look dirty or smells bad. I'm not doing any work now, just waking up late and walking around. of course I sweat like any other person but I'm not doing any heavy activity that would make me sweat extra. also this period in Bangkok with a cool winds and its not so hot. I'm taking at least 4 showers a day.

I can understand it if you wake up early and go to work comes home all tired and sweaty.

an argument against me is: This is no Northern Europe. This is Thailand with tropical weather and you sweat more here then back home in Europe.

I just don't think its necessarily to go to laundry every 3 days even though my gf does the laundry. every 6-7 days is OK. I'm raising this question to see if its really a DON'T. anyway I'm using lotions for men, par-fume and all that. many women think I have good skin so, its no that I don't take care of myself biggrin.pngooo3.bmp

  5. I'm moving from Around Khoasan road to Lad Phrao. when I came to my new area in Lad phrao. I started to think hmm whats different. not noisy(my apartment used to be next to the big road. what more?Ohh here you can actually breathe. no big road close. but as soon as I walked 300 M to the big road it was more or less the same old story.

  6. I try to do a bit of each from time to time, now I do all the local stuff with local Thai friends. sports, motorbikes, best food for a responsible price, checking out parks, renting bicycles, taking boats to outside markets, checking Bangkok big shopping-centers and I went to IKEA in Bang Na(MEGA)today(go shopping or for the IKEA restaurant, FREE shuttle bus from: Udom Suk BTS station, hmm what more? You gotta have ideas :)

  7. I believe in God and Jesus. but I cant really say that I am a Christian. cuz I hardly follow anything. Its hard to know there is a God but not have been able to follow. In Thailand it should be easier than back home to be a believer. you see it everywhere they all believe in something. If you haven't seen it yet and want to. time to take a look outside the tourist box. Lad Phrao, the area where I moved to now in Bangkok. Got many churches, I haven't visited any yet. If somebody ask me why do you come to church are you a Christian?I will answer: No I'm not but I want to be that's why I'm here smile.png

  8. Hi. Have your gf told her parents about you earlier. how you are etc?I met the parents for approx 2 weeks ago in South Thailand: http://crazyguyinthailand.wordpress.com/wp-admin/post.php?post=447&action=edit (hope you can click on it, it didn't went that good for me the first 3 days(I hope you can learn something from my miss-takes) a tip: don't think cuz they look strange at you or something that you know what they are thinking about you and go well dressed and if they know a bit about you, just be your self, don't be shy or nervous smile and show you are happy) then happiness will go 2 ways :) in the end I met real Thai culture, couldn't have come to a better family. perfection in it purest form wai2.gifwai.gif

  9. Have to be strong not care about it. its hard to change a word 99,99% of people use. but I will tell you what if my gf or her family or a close friend to me ever call me farang or refer that word to me twice(I have to tell them first time that I don't like like it, so they know) I never ever speak to that person again or make a big scene of public embarrassment for that person.

  10. Me and my gf don't agree too. but this subject isn't something that bother us. we understand each other and laugh about it. she is also very anti government. She even told me not to put a red t shirt this week. I didn't put it on cuz it was red. but it was a red bull-dead bull khoasan road t-shirt and all others were in the laundry. I didn't think it was a big deal. I had it on yesterday too. nobody cares and I go anywhere everywhere. Remind your wife that you two are a couple all that politic bullshit is outside the home. don't believe that everything is divided between yellow and red. I daily met many Bangkok Thai residents who are tired of all this. waiting for bus NR 3 40 min and it didn't even show up cuz of the mob. in the end we took it all the way to mo chit and from there the same bus in other direction to go to were we wanted. luckily both buses were free. but the half day went in traffic.

  11. I asked my gf why Thais don't like Indian Food, and I have been trying the get her into trying it for some time cuz I love it.

I was suspecting a while that it wasn't about the food but about something psychological. this is what she answered: It smells and we don't trust if its clean or not... Those herbs they use in the food are different from the herbs we use. and it smells like hmmm how can I say(taking 2 minutes to answer)

    - Does it smell like shit?when the Thai herbs you eat comes out when you do the big job???

HAHA yeahh!!!!and we don't like the bean sauce they have.

(This is only a Thai person answering she cant speak for all Thais) If I can chose which food I want as a last meal: I would chose something Indian.

  12. Im still here living near Democracy Monument and Khoasan Road. I haven't changed where I walk or when I walk or go somewhere. I cant speak for all Bangkok, its a huge city but where I live its as usual. Khoasan Road has less tourists though. 40% of all air ticket bookings to Thailand have been canceled. around 300.000 booked tickets. I have Swedish crones, Before 1 Crone: 4,3 Baht now 1 Crone almost 5 Baht, never been this good for a long time.

  13. I'm staying in Bangkok. Very close to Democracy Monument. Soon we will see if it is going to be bad choice or not. already hearing police and ambulances outside my window. don't know for what, but more than usual. It has slowly been going down behind the scenes now. 1 week ago my gf finished work at 9 PM everyday. now at 6 PM. Monday she might have a day of. THIS IS ASIA. one thing is for sure: if something happens Monday, it will happen very fast.
