Never did me any harm - with a cane across my finger tips (ouch) and blackboard rubbers being launched with the precision of a guided missile to ones head
Also it was fairly regular with me and lots of other guys in the same class, from age 5 to 15 when I got kicked out altogether haha

I was under the impression from the few times I used the trains in Thailand that they often broke down, were late and substandard.
Your information is correct

Thailand cannot even manage to stop floods from occuring year in and year out.
I suspect an oil spill would be a disaster as all those in charge would be fighting for corruption money instead of cleaning the spill up professionally.
And still cannot manage electricity power out in Chiangmai every few weeks, sometimes out for about an hour.

So tough that he admitted he carried (at least) 2 knives and a bottle of hydrochloric acid in his "man bag" in case he got into a scrap and his two
ballsbuddies weren't there to back him up.
Like when he went into a rage because a much smaller man (Canadian school teacher if I recollect) said something about his tattoos so he whipped out a knife and slashed the guy.
How he managed to get away with that I don't know. Anyone else would have ended up in the slammer and then been deported.
He was arrested a couple other times as well and always seemed to get away with whatever it was they arrested him for.
He used to brag that he had a string of women paying him for "protection". (Yeah, how many women in Pattaya pay someone a weekly fee for "protection".)It says he was a millionaire so of course he got away with it

Let those who want to harm themselves do so, but remove their need to commit crimes against the rest of us.
Without drug profits, criminal gangs will have less impact on society.
Without drug laws, crime and prison numbers will be reduced.
Agree except yaba makes them crazy and do attack other people and do a lot of damage, opium should also be legal, Sherlock Holmes used to smoke it haha

Viagra et al has been a controlled drug in Thailand for some time now, it's only legally available on Doctors prescription.
If a pharmacy/street vendor is selling it, or any variation, it's likely bogus or expired stock.
Import is strictly controlled.
You may be lucky and get bootleg genuine Kamagra or Apcalis, as always, buyer beware.
Grakcu capsules work well I find better than viagra and you can buy on Lazada.

In this day and age passports should be done away with, should just be able to walk through a scanner that gives all your information automatically from eyes face fingers, and all arrival and exit details sent too you automatically, but maybe I’m thinking 500 years ahead.

It's good to extend the visa exemption but make sure that they distinguish true tourists from those visa-runners who want to stay long-term in Thailand on a shoestring budget.
Why not reintroduce the minimum amount of cash requirement?
What difference does it make many young people want to backpack around the world, as long as they don’t beg and they shower and wash their clothes regularly their entitled to come here as much as anyone else, better than the sexpats.

No, that's not correct.. The vaccines, especially if you've been boosted, do a pretty good job at reducing your likelihood of serious illness and death from COVID, but they're not 100%... And their protections do tend to wane after 4-5 months post vaccination.
So yes, definitely get vaccinated and boosted in accord with the public health guidelines. But even for those who have already been vaccinated and boosted, wearing a quality face mask when around others in public places not only helps protect you but also protects those around you should you come down with the virus.
I’m fully vaccinated but had Covid a few weeks ago, just felt I’d been over training at the gym with a headache after six days I was fine.
