Yes. They will transfer the entry stamp at the border and stamp you out in the new passport. No letter required.

You have nothing that needs to be transferred. They will not transfer visas to new passports, only stamps giving permission to stay. As you’re leaving there is no need to transfer the entry stamp as it can be done on exit.

If you have a valid multiple entry non ‘B’ visa you can keep using it by showing both passports on entry.

Thank you ever so much for your valid input too.  Greatly appreciated.

Always good to have a double definite.

    Have a great week ahead.

If you have a multiple entry non-b visa issued by a embassy or consulate you do not have to go immigration to have your stamps transferred. Or have a letter from the embassy.

You show both passport on departure from the country to have your entry stamp transferred to the new one and be stamped out of the country in it. Then on entry you will show both passports to use the visa in the old passport.

Thank you ever so much.  Information is indeed greatly appreciated.

    Case closed.

    Many thanks again

  3. I have seen a few replies, mainly from @ubonjoe (who is exemplary) on this before, but they all seem to be from previous years or at least 6+ months old.

I have a new UK passport.  My previous UK passport had a Non-B 1 year and the entry stamp.

Travelling back to Cambodia (work permit there) but did not go to Chang Watthana in the last few days to transfer the stamp (as done previously as I need a new UK passport renewal every 2 years).

Therefore, is it still current that I can go to Suvarnabhumi Airport Immigration and hand over my OLD passport and NEW one and gain the EXIT stamp?  Do I also need the letter embossed by the British Embassy asking, kindly, to transfer the stamp or not?

    Appreciate the input.

  4. I was in Sri Lanka with a Thai delegation a few years back.

Once we arrived at the destination they went spaz, literally off their rockers because they were being charged (over) double as a foreigner.

They stormed off saying that this would never happen in Thailand!

When I pointed out it does they shrugged and said "well farangs can afford it, we're Asians and cannot"

  5. They raised two issues. First the cost. Second the noise pollution.

In theory, if they reduced the cost of tickets, the airline may increase the number of flights to cater for the increased capacity.

    A double edged sword!

But the again, the residents could possibly reap the rewards for 'double' pricing the newly landed passengers and not giving a fudge for over capacity or noise pollution!

    The sword is blunt!

“Over the past many years, many of our teachers have preferred to do academic work, especially research and thesis work, to gain credentials so as to upgrade their professional status and earn more income – at the expense of their teaching hours and teaching quality.”

Really?  They have the learning capacity to do this?  Surely their teaching quality would improve if they were actually doing something apart from copying and pasting from the internet!

I have 2 nieces whom are 'English' teachers in BKK.  They both can't speak a word of English.  They say they are 'shy'!  When they have a 'meeting' with heads they only communicate in Thai and show that their students have competent 'English' skills.  Google Translate does 99% of the homework...the 'teacher' uses Google Translate to check their work...hence the 100% result!

  7. She clearly wasn't a very good secretary as she had no idea about the orders to exterminate millions of Jews?  At the Nuremberg trail, hundreds, if not thousands of letters, executive orders etc. were used as evidence...signed and co-signed by Gobbels himself, amongst others!

Therefore, he must've typed them himself, singed them and then handed them over the mail room!

The day all airlines will stop serving alcohol on all flight, that the day flying

will be come safer and more enjoyable.... I for one, all for it, you want to drink?

    go to a bar....

Ever flown PIA (Pakistan International Airlines)!  Their safety record is shocking and their planes haven't been cleaned for 20+ years!  You'll need a wee dram just to walk onto the plane!

All they offer is a sweet to minimise the smell from your co-passengers repugnant breath!

Only an entry from a tourist visa or a visa exempt entry can be extended for 30 days.

So on a Non-Immigrant B you cannot get a 30 day but can you get a 7 day extension?

I had a meeting in Hong Kong which was subsequently cancelled.  I was due to fly there on 8th Sept.  My last day on my current entrance stamp of 90 days is 9th Sept. My company has now booked me a flight to SG, but only for this coming Saturday, 10th.  Therefore, can I go to CW and get the 7 day extension to cover for the extra day I'm here?

I have a 1 year multi Non-Immigrant B that expires in March next year.
