"The American Legion was chartered and incorporated by Congress in 1919 as a patriotic veterans organization devoted to mutual helpfulness. It is the nation’s largest wartime veterans service organization"
And as such they completely ignore those of us who served our country faithfully during the limited periods of time that the US was not at war. Ask the US government the status of US vets who served between the Vietnam War and the First Gulf War. "Thank you for your service! Now go away." Other than that? We're not even considered to be 'real' veterans. More like Cold War vets who aren't 'really' vets. I'll bet you Russia treats their Cold War vets with more respect.- 1

A 'central barrier' like pictured by the OP will cause a few tens of thousand more injures and multiple thousand deaths as the average aggressive Thai will not give way and would prefer to split their vehicle in two and kill everyone aboard rather than yield and millimeter to allow another car to merge safely.
Now this measure would help, but TIT. I've come to the conclusion that Thai leaders actually want to cull their citizens through horrendous accidents. The big-wigs don't drive themselves and are transported in multi-vehicle caravans with cops blocking the roads 5 kilometers in advance of a VIP motorcade - so why would they care?- 2

Big Joke arrests Korean on 13 year "overstay"
Now, what about the tens of thousand of Thai nationals illegally staying and working in South Korea? America? Personally, I'd sort of like to know what the Big Jokester thinks about his own country-men (and women) flaunting the immigration laws of other countries. Actually I already know the answer.

There will no doubt come a time when the Headline:
"Big Joke <verb> <number> <nationality> for <crime> at <location>....." simply becomes so common as to invoke naught but a yawn. I'm already there. -

I wonder what law they can quickly manufacture to make a Shin calendar an illegal publication? It boggles the mind. ????

New government edict for Loi Krathong
"Anyone caught celebrating Loi Krathong will be subject to 10 days in jail and a 5000 THB fine - you have been warned!"

Given the reaction to the edict, it seems that corruption is far more pervasive that even the most conservative estimates.

Did they explain to her how to merge onto a highway.
"You stop and wait for car to come. Then pull out in front of car. Put one wheel on shoulder and one wheel on road. Now accelerate to 10 kpm and drive for 1 kilometer. Now speed up to 30 kph and wait for car behind you to pull up even with you then push him out of the lane. Now you on highway, accelerate to 150 kpm and zig-zag between cars while flashing lights. Excellent - you now Thai driver!"

One word:
(non)enforcementThailand has all sorts of laws on the books. Take a look at traffic laws. The laws mean nothing. Why?
(non)enforcementActually, when the cop need to make money, it will become selective enforcement. Everything else is a bad joke.

To solve a problem, you first have to face the problem. When a termite infested tree finally is so weak that it blows over in the wind, the wind was not the cause of the tree's structural failure. But the UK authorities will blame the wind every time.

For the Left, elections a battle to undermine a leader under siege since before his election by progressives controlling the main-steam media, Big Tech, and social media networks.

The education ministry does not need big data. They need big brains. They need creative juice and they need humility! They need to be rebuilt from scratch.
They are the laughing stock of the planet.
I thought they needed big words, big headlines, and big photo-ops, followed by big awards and big cash handouts to big-wigs.

Given the temperament of Thais to go from peaceful to homicidal in less than a heartbeat, the fish is probably a good fit with the national image.

Sometime I wonder if there are any adults in charge at all given the number of social issue that need to be addressed as opposed to what they choose to focus their limited resources on investigating.

Will Thai immigration recognize these unions the same as marriage? Assuming not but it should be so.

Good question. If the marriage is legally binding in Thailand, then any legal marriage should be recognized by all Thai ministries.
But the tricky question becomes "who is the wife and who is the husband" as the immigration laws governing a foreign woman married to a Thai man are different than the immigration laws for a foreign man married to a Thai woman.
