If he is coming on an organised tour, which is what I understand, he will have little to no time free from the group. I think he is a joker and having us all on. Or he is a nitwit!!!!!.

My Mum sometimes sends me a birthday card, through the post
I get Foie Gras through the post. AND that is very valuable. If you live in CM I'll give you some next time.

no eye in the sky. Airport CCTV probably saw them catch a taxi at the taxi stand, asked the taxi driver where he took them. not so sinister, and not difficult.
You are right. When I come to CM I go to the taxi office, near the exit. They ask to what hotel I am going. And I am not 3 Chinese men.

The Op is completely NUTS!!!!!! I have just made my calculations. I pay an agent to get my 60 day visa. That costs 90 euros. Which is approx. 3,492 baht. Add the 1900 baht for the 30 days, that makes 5,392 baht. One hundred and eighty baht (180 ) baht per day.

When I was taking driving lessons in Australia, I was taught to back into a space between two cars in a street. Here in France, I see people doing the same thing. It depends on what sort of parking it is. Supermarket parking is different. You can drive straight in, but it is easier to get out later if you have backed in first. That's my opinion and I can't understand the fuss about it all. Six pages already!!!

Barack Hussein Obama....name don't sound really American.
They could be from any of the former French possessions in North and N.W. Africa, Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Mauretania and others.
We're in the 21st century for Christ's sake, people emigrate and immigrate.
France is no longer only Gauloises, baguettes, Brie, Kronenbourg biere and Clouseu.
They don't even have to be from former French colonies. I was not born in any French possession and had no family links, but when I married, I applied for French nationality. It was granted. I am for admin, purposes, French. I travel on a F. passport, I vote and am just like everyone else. The only problem I have, is with French people in Thailand. They don't like that I have citizenship.

A very interesting OP, not that I have any dogs. But just out of interest, I have always understood that the UK has very strict rules for the entry of animals, and that they all have to go into quarantine. Unless I haven't read properly, it is not mentioned.

Before going to SEA I must inform my bank and credit card company of my travel dates and in which countries I will be using my cards. Otherwise blocked at the first withdrawal attempt.

I just love the 'wouldn't have done it if we had known the consequences' bit.

sounds like an over the top reaction to a stupid joke. Did he send an hoax email, letter or actually say there's a bomb on board ? did someone actually ask him what he meant by the gesture ? just an over excited old man.
What if it had been true? Would you have thought it a 'stupid joke'.

I attended at least two of his meetings in Sydney. It's strange, I didn't really like him, there was something that repelled me, but he WAS magnetic. When he appealed for people to stand up and let Christ into their hearts, people by the hundreds got up. His meetings were full to overflowing. Another thing that was striking, was that all his group were tall, handsome and extremely well dressed people. A Godlike party!!!!! He never had anyone 'ordinary' around him.

I just say Mai Khrap and smile. No thank you seems to work. The idea is just to be polite and say no thank you.
I do the same and have no problem.

I didn't know paying for sex in a foreign country was considered a 'criminal activity' in the UK.
Have I missed a new law?
There is a British Travel Sex Law, but it seemingly is only about child sex.

I travelled with a Mexican, Paris/Bangkok. The only way he could get to Bangkok, was to go to Europe first.

Actually there needn't be any problem at all. I have a 3 plane trip to CM - 2 Air France and 1 B'kok A/ways. At the first check-in, the luggage goes through to CM. When I get to B'kok, instead of turning left to go to Immigration, I go straight on to Transit. The first two times I was the only person at Immigration, the third, only one person. There are three desks, with a person in front who checks your papers. Then you go one step further to Immigration. That's it!!!
The first time I actually had an official who took me to where I had to go. You then look for your gate. B'kok Airways has a lounge where you can drink, eat and have a comfortable seat.

He knowingly helped his wife and her ex-Thai husband escape after killing another foreigner she was involved with?
Me thinks he may have taken those 'for better or worse' marriage vows a whittle bit too seriously.
Use the proper terms (at least from the report that we have). It was her ex-Thai lover, not husband. As for him supposedly saying she was his wife. I don't believe that. She was the Frenchman's mistress. He says all he did was to help her to escape.
Maybe it is as he says. At the least he is an accessory to murder.

You are right. Last trip to T'land, I sat beside a Mexican. He had to fly to Europe (in this case Paris) to get a plane to B'kok. He'd been going for hours. And for 2 weeks holiday!
