  1. I wish you would read and understand articles properly.  He was arrested for these crimes on an International Arrest.....That means he committed these crimes elsewhere.  Not in Thailand.  At the moment all the Thai authorities have against him is Overstay.  The only thing they can do is to send him back to wherever they are supposed to.

There is no mention of women, so why would you assume that he is 'bi'?

  2. A few days ago I was coming back from Rimping by the iron bridge in CM.  I passed a Thai lady, who had beside her a large shopping bag.  I stood and watched her for a while.  The bag was packed with small plastic bags full of something which she emptied into the Ping and then the plastic bag after.  I counted ten bags that were sailing down and her bag was still quite full.

  3. Following on from what Suradit has written.  A Dutch friend tells me that this is the first time she has not been able to get a double entry visa from the Embassy in London.  I thought they were wiped out a good few years ago.  I couldn't get a 60 day visa from Paris this time until I furnished them with a document from my guest house saying I had a reservation with them.

Sorry I know the above is off topic.

On the other hand a friend easily gets a METV (from Paris) by showing he is retired with the required income.

  4. I thought this 6 weeks business had been around for quite a while.  My niece has told me many times that her and her husband can only be out of Oz for that length of time, otherwise they have to start the paperwork all over again.

The 2 year residence is a bit of a bore.  Sometimes I think I would like to go back to live in Australia, but am deterred by this.  A good part of my French pension is NOT paid out of France so it is not envisageable.  Just for interest, because a partof my pension is special, I cannot be out of France for more than 30 days.  It is the same in Belgium.  Perhaps there are many more than the three mentioned that have these rules and regulations.

  5. I voted for Fillon in the first round.  I have no idea of his policies, I didn't watch any of the TV debates.  But I like Fillon and I vote Right.  Just as I can't stand LePen or his daughter, so I wouldn't vote for them.

Following up on Paulbj2..........There are two things that the French do extremely well.........go on strike at the drop of a hat and WHINGE.  No matter what, they WHINGE and they WHINGE and they WHINGE.

Publicity stunt! Who keeps millions of euro jewelry at a hotel?

She wasn't in a hotel, she was in a private residence.  N ow the story is that there were 5 men in leather jackets and they spoke to her in English with a strong East European accent.  I know she is of Armenian origin but would she know different European accents.

In the photos above, if she is wearing Givenchy, then I shall no longer buy anything from him.  She just been to one of his showings.

Riviera is over used in Thailand.

In Pattaya there is the Riviera Resort Pattaya, The Riviera Wangamat, The Riviera Jomtien. But unlike the French Riviera, neither Pattaya or Hua Hin will have a casino.

Nor do they have Albert, Charlene and the twins, not to forget Caroline and Steff.  The Cote d'Azur (Riviera is English) is absolutely stunningly  beautiful.  Hua Hin and Pattaya are nothing in comparison.

  8. Thanks Bild and Planemad        I meant to add in my post that I remember them telling me that the team  changed names fairly often.  I just had a look at Wikipedia and I see that is so.

I shared a bedsit with a girl who manned the bar at a RAF Officer's Club in Bayswater - I think it was the Gremlin - and when she went on holidays she got me to take over so she wouldn't lose the job.  When I think about it, I knew quite a lot of them.  Obviously I mean the team of the moment.  There were a lot of parties, but they were reasonably sober boys.  I THINK.

I have just skimmed through some of the latest posts.  What the hell does the FIFA (isn't that football?) have to do with the RAF Aerobatic Team??????  THIS is WAY off topic.  I'm quite annoyed.

  9. Brings back delightful memories.  I used to know a couple of the chaps from the team in the 60's.  They had only just taken the name 'Red Arrows'.  Used to be the Black ? (Devils I think).  Saw them a few times at Farnborough.  Wish I could be in HH.  I'm getting quite melancholic  (at 8 am), thinking about the fun times I had living in London.

I have seen many times the Patrouille de France.  Pretty good too.  I think most of these acrobatic teams are tops.
