Open UTube and do a search for, 'pokemon go accidents.'

Just scanning the long lists of horrific accidents, and video images, stressed me out.

Parents need to see the end game of all this nonsense and warn their children and friends.

Intensive care, rehabilitation medical bills and loss of income will send the stress levels over the top.  :coffee1:

It's not the game, it's just senseless people.  If there is a pokemon in reach of you, you get a notification by your phone vibrating.

  2. I went to Chatachuk Park to see what all the hype is about the game.  It's good in the sense it makes people be active, counting the distance you walk.  That being said, I was there for probably 30-40 minutes and I put my phone in my pocket just to avoid the people walking into me.  I was dodging left and right in a park, I can't imagine the amount of senseless people that are going to die from stepping out of traffic here.  The amount of deaths from teenagers getting smashed might surpass the amount of farangs jumping out of buildings.

I don't know your money situation, but I keep baht in a Thai bank.  That way, I don't pay any fees when I withdraw, and no currency exchange fees.  If that sort of thing is plausible for you, you could avoid some fees.

Yes, thanks.  I try to use my KTB Thai account as often as possible to avoid those hefty charges.  The only annoying thing is I originally opened the account in Khon Kaen and now I live in Bangkok so they charge a 20 baht fee for each transaction.

Don't know who is charging you. When I withdraw money from my Credit Union Visa card I get charged at an exchange rate very close to the posted daily rate, sometimes a little better. I think your foreign bank, or credit card, are the ones who decide on the rate to use.

It was like this for years, however, about 4 months ago it changed and every time I use the ATM it gives me a crap rate.  I have a few different US banks, including Credit Union.  The ATM's post on the menu the crappy rate and asks if I would like to continue.  I have no choice but to say yes if I want to withdraw the money.  I'm actually going to look into this.

  5. So they know he's mentally deficient yet rather than trying to establish properly what his mental state and condition is, they'll just try him as a fit man for the hell of it.

    I guess I shouldn't be surprised.

I agree with you but from the Thais viewpoint it's just a waste of time because they don't have the psychiatrists adequate to give a proper diagnosis. Hundreds of thousands of mentally unstable people just passed through the system at all levels.

  6. Well it was reported that 90% of the tiger breeding operations are corrupt so Makes sense to close down all of them arrest the operators place in protective custody, then investigate them then let the government take over all of them with international monitoring put in place.

Yes, it makes sense but 99.9999% of Thais lack common sense so this won't happen.

  7. It didn't state which school in Khon Kaen on June 3rd so I googled it and sure enough it was the school I worked for previously. In both cases it mentions where the milk was supplied from but I personally would never drink the milk after witnessing it sitting in the blazing heat for 7-8 hours. Even though this is a government school, it's a pure business from the head principal's view. The cost of ice to chill the milk adds up for 1k-2k students. He needs that money to pay for his Benz , massage parlor, gigs, etc.

  8. Yes, doing more research, I guess the visa is good for one year which I thought I would have but I only get 90 days out of it. My son is actually alone with me for this 7 week trip. I don't watch him full-time, but although both myself and his mother moved on, we are all civil and I'm pretty sure that she would vouch that I do take care of him full-time. He also goes to an International School in Thailand which I pay for and have full documentation from my bank statement. I'm only 37 so I'm not eligible for retirement visa. What would I need to extend it?

  9. 6. PERIOD OF STAY

Holder of this type of visa is entitled to stay in Thailand for a maximum period of 90 days. He or she may apply for an extension of stay at the Office of the Immigration Bureau and may be granted such extension for a period of one year from the date of first entry into Thailand.

Well, I've found out one of my questions that the numb-nut immigration officials were so unclear about when I was trying to get this on about 3-4 attempts to Laos. I love how each time I ask a different immigration officer, I get a different answer. Well, I'm now in a predicament. It says I may be granted an extension for a period of 1 year from the date of first entry into Thailand? Previously I was on Tourist Visas pretty much for 8 years, spending some time in other countries and a couple months in the US every year but since my son is nearly 4 and I'm not with his mother anymore, I pretty much have to stay in Bangkok to be close to him. I do get him 3/days week which is good. OK, any advice would be much appreciated!!!
