One party makes one step forwards , but political opponents want it to go 2 steps backwards again after the legalization became a success ?
Ridiculous .
Cannabis consumption is becoming legalized everywhere in the world soon .
Even Germany wants to legalize it now .
But only in Thailand we have the always backwards orientated who want to return to how it was before . Why ? Was it so much better before the legalization ? What to do with the freed inmates ? Catch them and put them back to prison ?
Move forward , Thailand , become an open-minded , tolerant and peaceful society , if that is possible . Every step in the right direction counts , The future will not repeat the past , and it should not be up to some left-behind politicians to decide about that , but to the people .
The trickle up has weaned off

And here I was watching the news this morning as it was a major story and I thought to myself why not just say he died from Covid. Why not say he was spitting so you threw the bag on his head, and then the news shows the forensic team all dressed in full PPE's and a covid response vehicle at the station, and I thought what are the odds that the police will be quarantined, the suspect found to have had Covid, and the case swept away. Of course that's just my view, and would seem to align with all of the past practices by this country.....just saying.
Please don't serve them with solutions ????

I was forced out of Thailand by the mafia with the help of the BIB because I refused to pay extortion money.

You know what the scientists say, when in doubt, the simplest deduction/solution is probably the correct one, so thanks, I gracefully accept your view of me. ????

While it is true that it is more correct that China has effectively eliminated SARS-Cov2, rather than eradicated since eradication requires the complete disappearance of the virus, which is not the case. Nevertheless, the fact that China reported that the July 20 new case count for the entire country of 1.4 billion people is just sixty-five cases is effectively total success. There may be other local outbreaks in the future, but the Chinese government will continue to manage them with or without vaccines. Even if severe criticism is warranted with respect to other actions of the Chinese government only a fool would fail to recognize their outstanding success in controlling Covid.
You can not believe the Chinese reported numbers. It's a totalitarian government, they can't protrude themselves as humans with all faults and errors we humans possess. Please don't go their errands and report false statements. Just ignore whatever information they give. They will lie even if some objective reporter show true reports, that's what they do.

Time to check again on per capita.
UK deaths per million = 1,888
Sweden deaths per million = 1,482
Your half the deaths is somewhat off base.
I've had a discussion with a trauma Covid-19 nurse working in a major hospital in Stockholm and the reported numbers of admitted patients where 98% of immigrants the first year. The reason could be that different cultures have different approach to social distancing. Now it seems like the people who never dies, they believe, age groups between 15 and 28 are over represented and the ones who believes Covid-19 is a hoax.

Sure we do. We know how severe the restrictions were on people in Wuhan during the shutdown, e.g. one family member could go out of the house once every other day for a couple of hours to get food for the household, etc. Very strict, but also very effective. By the summer of 2020 they were holding mass parties in water parks in Wuhan, because the virus was eradicated.
If the truth were substantially different with hospitals overwhelmed and a shortage of coffins, etc. then we would have known just as we know that never happened in Thailand even if we don't fully trust the numbers reported by the Thai government.
For July 20, the Chinese government reported 65 new cases in the country. That is not the return of the pandemic; that is just a blip that the Chinese government will manage.
Please don't make comments like, virus eradicated, you just give clear evidence that you have absolutely no knowledge about viruses. There's absolutely no virus ever existed that have been eradicated, mutated or dormant but never eradicated.

As Thais say again "Up to you".
TVF needs ads to exist unless you want to support them your cash.
It's not rocket science is it.
The whole purpose is to read news and keep up with what's happening in Asia, if it's really difficult to read, why bother to go there, then the ads have failed their purpose.

You're another one ignoring reality. Do an online search for Covid outbreaks in China. Do you find stories about overloaded hospitals, resurgent death rates, or new daily infection rates at new highs? No you don't, because it hasn't happened. The Covid epidemic can and has been controlled by effective governments before the widespread availability of vaccines. In addition to China, these include S. Korea, Taiwan, Viet Nam, New Zealand, Australia, Norway, and others. The standard public health measures of testing, isolating positives, contact tracing, mask wearing, and social distancing continue to be effective despite all the hand-wringing about the latest strains of the virus. The reason is that the transmission vector remains the same aerosolized droplets and that vector is disrupted by the public health measures.
Another one that believes what the communist China want the world to know, why are you blind to the fact that what the government want you to know is 90% lies, they have dispossed of whistle blowing doctors in the beginning. Get real, no one in their right mind believes anything from the Chinese.

A lot of this angst could have been avoided if people had been wearing the correct type of mask that could really protect against airborne, aerosol particles and not this medical/surgical which was not designed specifically for external, small particle filtering and offers little protection and should not be worn for long periods. Oh well, live and learn (or not).
The kind of mask you are talking about, imagine 30-35 celcius, 85 to 92% humidity. I personally would never use it, how to breathe? I would stay at home or never go to Thailand, where 99.9% of people are using useless masks outside their homes anyway.

All the world, is but a stage, and each and everyone but an actor, Donald Duck has left the stage now, geriatric ,Joe, is reading from notes, Vaccine companies are now saying /vaccinate pregnant women and children over 12, today in Fiji ,2 pregnant women died after been vaccinated, they saved the babies by casiserian . RNZ news today.
Thailand is in a dilemma, but I do not think the advised one worries.
Stop arguing ,the virus is everywhere. My guess it will taper in the next 6 months or, we will owe big pharma the world.
Why oh why do people spread misinformation, the two women in question DID NOT die because of vaccination, they died of untreated Covid-19. They didn't get any shot of any vaccine.

I'm sorry, gone? Eliminate? On what planet do you live?
Airborne viruses lives in the air for long periods of time when not multiplying and thriving in a host/s. There's nothing to stop Covid-19 than to get vaccinated, nothing, no lock downs, just delaying, no social distancing as the virus can travel quite far, true there are some benefits but only delays. Only vaccine can put the virus into some sort of rest.

if you use Ad block you dont get so many annoying interruptions it becomes manageable with side and bottom page ads only.
This post will likely experience a Bermuda Triangle fate within the next ten minutes.
The bottom and top ads are the worst, when my keyboard is visible I can't see s--t.
Keyboard occupies almost half the screen, the top and bottom the rest. As soon as I scroll, they're there.

I don't know about you other guys, but I get more angry to go to forum's then ever before. The ads are blocking the text everywhere. As I use my mobile to surf the Asean Now's forum's, and mind you I have huge screen, a Samsung Z Fold, a 7.2" tablet screen size, ads popup everywhere and I can't get rid of them permanently. It's so annoying I hesitate to go to Asean Now. If the owner doesn't reduce the amount and sizes, I'm gone.
What about you guys, feel the same?

Yeah, most manufacturers advertise the failings of their products on the box. Perhaps you are reading a box of gummy bears?
The masks are excellent protection for what they are manufactured for, bacteria and pollution.

When will people understand, the facemasks doesn't protect, AT ALL. Not from viruses, it works on pollution and most bacteria.
Keep up with the science.
