Exactly.  Not sure why he's singling out farangs.  If he had mentioned Chinese people, might make a bit of sense (but still overkill).

Farangs aren't just Europeans, it's all foreigners, but Thai have started to leave out Chinese as farangs, don't get why though.

Oh, could it be the high so Chinese families running Thailand ?

In Thailand the rule of law is not applied equally. Prayut is special, he means well, soon, very soon he will return happiness to the people, he just needs a little more time. The powers that be have their... uh, the nations best interest at heart. Really!  ????

Don't forget more time to fill his (national?) treasure chest.

im no expert but typically the auto bb's cant be adapted to 9mm? usually a bb revolver would work but typically just modified for .22 because easier and also can use smooth bores and such... (im not involved in any illegal activity just talk from thais....(that are all good))

A BB replica of a 9mm can never be converted to a 9mm. There's simply not the same tech to fire of a bullet and the "powder" in a BB gun is compressed air and are fitted where the clip of a real gun should be.

I've had both sorts, a BB replica of Colt 1911 and a Norinco 9mm (Chinese copy of a 1911)

The Sanyo you are referring to was a multi billion dollar electronics company trading worldwide, and was taken over by Panasonic in 2009.

This incident relates to a small engineering facility employing 18 people in Thailand!!! This does not constitute an economic crisis in Thailand, or a global economic downturn.

But Thai people aren't used to have farrang owned "factory" companies closing, they normally do a "hostile" takeover.

I'm the author of this article printed in The Nation and I just want to clarify a few things.

I moved to Thailand at the age of 31. Up until then, I had always worked in the IT field. Upon arriving in Thailand, I started an IT consulting firm and then moved on to become a freelancer (no WP necessary there, at least according to one of the honchos from immigration.

I never had any mental issues until 2014, when I fell into a deep depression and started suffering from acute agoraphobia. I stopped working at that time and started living on my savings. I left my nice condo in the Silom area and moved to a concrete box in Udomsuk to save costs.

Things started going better in 2016, which is why I decided to fix my legal situation by going to Don Muang and leaving the country.

Once in Vietnam, I didn't know anyone, all my friends had been left behind in Thailand. I felt utterly alone and swallowed 3.5gr of codeine, which, unfortunately, did not kill me.

One of my friends contacted the Belgian embassy which pit me in touch with their consulate in Hanoi. I met the consul who oversold me the repatriation back to Belgium, saying that I was going to be taken care of, medically and financially. I agreed to take the flight back home, met representatives from the Red Cross at the airport and they dropped me in front of a homeless shelter with no money and no social security.

It took me 3 months to finally be eligible for social security and healthcare coverage. In the meantime, I was staying in a shelter for the first time of my life. The first night I spent there, two guys threw another bloke out a second floor window because of an argument.

Since then, my mental situation has deteriorated. Two years of living out of shelters will do that to someone's especially someone who's always had a stable life. I have no family left so getting help from a third party was not an option.

The past two years, I have gone through hell. I have now been in a mental hospital for the past three months and have started the process to formally request euthanasia, which thankfully is legal in Belgium even for psychiatric ailments.

None of this would have happened has I been allowed to stay in Thailand. I 2qs ready to work again and had a friend network that was able to help me.

Again, like I said in my letter to the Nation, I understand the need for immigration laws. But, like the recent changes to the immigration laws for retirees, I think they could be applied more humanely.

Have you found out what the cause is to your mental state and what started it?

In my opinion, the society of doctors aren't interested in causes, only quick fixes with pills, although, short term could be necessary.

I do hope you are feeling better now and wish a happy long life for you.

  6. 555... This ban will stop kids to show affection to anyone now, before it was only to their parents and relatives, now they won't have a chance to channel their emotions to anyone. I love this country and the mind boggling idiots who runs it. They make me look very intelligent and sane. 555

\*Note-how are they going to enforce this law? The police aren't doing anything more than absolutely necessary, as it is*/

Nah, just poor reporting as with the newspaper that claimed Unsworth played an "integral part in rescuing the kids from the cave". He did not. He is NOT a diver. He made a phone call like any concerned human being. Musk did a whole lot more than this guy did and had a whole lot to lose if they did use the sub and kids died.  And for what? To be abused by a whole lot of couch potato no nothings.

I think your rhetoric are completely screwed up.

    1. integral part =  part of the TEAM to rescue the kids and the coach

    2. Musk did a whole lot .... = he did a lot of what us "couch potatoes" have done, yourself included I guess, he wrote on Twitter etc.

Where you involved in the rescue attempt and are you a close friend to Mr. Musk? That would explain how you have complete knowledge over Mr.Musks thoughts, motives and actions, also including Mr. Unsworth not excluding the rest of the rescue team.

You seem to have deep knowledge of the whole situation and what transpired, if you don't have it, are your posts depending solely on media's coverage and Mr.Musks Twitters?

Personally, I have no knowledge what happened "behind the scenes", how much Mr. Unworth contributed to the rescue, but I do know one thing, I applaud the WHOLE team for getting the boys and the coach out of the cave, the guys that manned the pumps, medical staff, people giving information about the cave structure, the divers, the people behind the logistal part with food and water to the boys and rescue team, the companies that supplied with all needed to the rescue, if I don't mention all, I DO mean all people involved in the action of the rescue.

In my eyes they were all heroes and this rescue also strengthened my belief that Thailand's citizens are way more caring towards each other than we farangs give them credit for.
