  1. Been to it several times, to much noise for me, but it is basicly harmless, at the party they get stupid, drunk and fall asleep or just go on thier way when the sober up. I haven't seen any bad things happen, at least no more than any where else. Incidents have happened , but new controls have been put in to place so the boats are safer.

This party generates a lot of revenue for the island and a lot of good P.R for Thailand. If people want to get stupid and drunk Ok at least is in in one controled area. More people (farangs) are hurt on motorcycles than at the Full Moon Party.

Most people who go are just curious and most have good fun. Leave it be, police it if you must but it leave it as is.

  2. I have a friend in Louisiana who inherited a small oil company in the Gulf of Mexico from his dad. When I was home in April I visited him in Water Proof, Lousiana. For many years he has received $32.00 USD a barrel for his oil, his cost to produce is about $18.00 USD a barrel as the well are production wells and the drilling costs already paid. Now he says it cost the same $ 18-20 USD a barrel to produce, but he is now receiving over $60 USD a barrel. He doesn't know why the prices are so high as his production prices have remained pretty much the same, but he sells it as fast as he can pump it out of the hole. As he is a “Good Ol Boy” he just puts the money in the bank and keeps on pumping dat oil.

  3. Here in Samui all of our customers (resorts and hotels) send or take a report of thier guests to imigration every week, weather anyone reads it I don't Know.

I was behind a guy that was replacing ahis pasport at the U.S. Embasy in K.L he was lectured on losing his pasport and how if it happened agian he would have a very difficult time replacing it agian and may only be issued a 1 year pasport. The reason used valid U.S. and British pasports sell for $25-$35,000.

  4. I don't condone the act, but I understand the emotion, heat of the moment as it were, overwork, hot weathers and lack of training are contributing causes to these problems. I am sure everyone has reached this point at some time, it's whet we do and how we react that seperate people wnder stress, what ever it may be.
