I flew with Etihad in July from Manchester to Bkk. Stopped off in Abu Dhabi. No worries really, good service, good food, good planes - but no screens in front of every seat excpet for very new planes which don't fly the UK routes. Overall good value so go for it.

Its not just the Thais.  In fact, I wouldn't bother with the Thais.  See many of you come here and are so focused on the Thais.  Thai women this and thai women that...  There are plenty of other Asian women who live here and who get involved and need some loving.  Plenty of 30 to 40 year old Jaoanaese, Chinese, Malaysian, Singaporean ladies who are horny and love to get "naked."  They will take you anywhere.  In additon, the number of western women who enjoy a good fling is enormous ecspecially when their hubys are out getting extra play on the side and ignoring the Mrs.  A dying plant needs watering...  You think these western women are shopping at the Emporium all day or goign to the fitness centers?    This isn't about falling in love and none would ever leave their significant other or husband and I don't want that to happen.  This is about extra sex, a fantasy, a short time romance, etc...  Similar to what the white male tourist  is doing here in Thailand.  Looking for some extra excitement.  I am not interested in getting involved romantically.  Women love a good pounding and if you do it rite to them and pamper them these women will treat you well.

Yes I like walking in BKK. I walked out of my hotel and decided to go up the road and discovered a fabulous large building with the letters M B and K on it. So I ventured in and had a look around. Some pretty cool shops and all that....bought some jeans and shoes.

But seriously, I like venturing out and about (when I visit) but Bkk is so big it'd takes ages actually getting anywhere!!

I can't believe it took him that long...!!! It'd take me 10 minutes!

I was going to give you a history lesson. About the origins of WW I and how that led to WW II which led to the cold war. But really it can all be summed up in one sentence.

Freedom is worth fighting for and if necessary, dying for.

It's ok I studied WW1 & WW2 at school and sort of know what went on.

You're right - many have lived and died for freedom in the past and from all parts of the World. From the Native American Indian protecting his homeland to the Aboriginie (spelling?) protecting his homeland to the South African blacks protecting their rights to the Jews fighting for the right to live in WW2 to the Palestinians of modern day the list goes on and on and on....

People have fought for freedom for years before WW1+2 and are continuing to this day to fight for freedom one way or another.

We should remember them ALL because they all had/have a cause which makes our lives what they are today.

So fair enough I retract (95%) what I said earlier...it's not that I have disrespect for the fallen it's just that the whole fighting and killing thing never really stopped did it?

With all due respect, I think we can have a civilised discussion here.

No-one can say what would have happened if the wars didn't take place. We can make all sorts of scenarios up. The reason we are free today is because of the sacrifices of all those soldiers? I'm not sure. All wars are wrong and I think it's wrong that any soldier should die from any side. Today I don't think the world is any better than it was 60-70 years ago as far as aggressors go. We seem not learn anything from history.
