They will take the cheque but could take 40 PLUS days to clear

YOUR cheque will be sent back to the bank that it is drawn against

YOU will pay a fee maybe 500 baht to have this done

FINALLY was told the cheque maybe be refused from the bank that it is drawn against.

I had to study this question for my Thai language course......now Thailand already has specific colours for each day of the week untold years ago banks decided to adopt a specific colour also this was done asin in the case of the days of the week because many Thai people from the poorer area's and from the mountains have a very low level of education. Hence days of the week have respective colours and the banks followed on people can see with ease which is their bank.

Had a White guy go off on a 7-11 girl up here in Chiang Mai because he couldn't understand her Thai. And said "What are you you speaking some sort of hill tribe language?" (All asked in Thai, she was speaking Northern) She go flustered and embarrassed. I then asked him how the hell has he managed to learn enough Thai to communicate (not just 1 or 2 words, he WAS speaking full sentences etc) and not know that in the North they speak a different dialect. He shut up, looked embarrassed and walked out. The 7-11 girl was pissed off, but was thrilled when I and the guy behind her dealt with her in Northern haha.

I think 3 foreigners in the same 7-11 speaking Thai has been a record for me.

Shopping today at Rimping minding my own business when I hear someone going off I look around and here is this guy tapping his ginger on the glass of the refrigerated cabinet and I quote " god damn it why don't you talk english " I look around to see and here this loud mouth going off at (2) young girls serving behind the counter he was giving them hell....I tend t mind my own business but every now and then I will make an exception this once one of those moments I quitely walk over and calmy said " is there any need to speak to these girls like that they do not have to speak english you are in their country.

With veins pulsing in his neck he replied who the # # # # are you...calmly I said nobody but manners cost nothing so why not be nice to the girls. Still going off mutterings of how crap the service was here and my favorite ( we would not put up with this back home in the # # # " )

Buy a plain pan season it correctly when cooking use the right heat the right oil etc.....when finished cooking LET the pan get COLD then add cold water leave for 10 minutes then wash after its dry spray with cooking oil it will last you a lifetime

for heavens sake call your embassy they will tell you the facts.....would that not make sense
