As I self proclaimed wine expert may I offer this advice....do not worry about excise NOTHING you can do about it....where I come from a wine making counrty of great repute ( not my words is FACT ) I pay about 3 time here what I pay for the same bottle back home ...NOW my son has a winery ( yes yes yes ) and I can tell you within the wine industry it's common knowledge if you buy a cheaper wine DECANT it for for at least 30 minutes before you drink it and the flavour will increase by at least 15 % thus makeing a cheap wine much better......South African Chile wine are great but do decant them......store the reds in a cool dark place DON'T put in the fridge and as aways serve wine wine COLD.......most important drink what you like with what you like ....

Ummm FORMALIN having worked with this product for over 30 years in the animal health industry I can tell you the pressure of the AG industry to keep this product on the market is huge and no government will not take on the ag industry at all.

Formalin as it is commonly called is a very strong dangerous product in any situation but if used correctly it is more safe than most people realise it's only when it is over used that issues arise IE in food butcher shops are the worst add it to poor quality meats and you have a different product it will last for ages.

This product like many used in food preservation is dangerous but the bottom line is it's not just the product it is the the person using it that is is the issue.

Well I cannot comment on past issues regards these ED visa's but I am doint Thai Language in CM at a great school small classes and teaches have Masters in Languages speak good english and are very tolerant. We are told at ths start you must attend class you are only allowed to miss so many we have to sign in at the end of the class to verify we haave actually attended.

We are also advised that Immigration DOES come around to check and sometimes will have a discussion wwith students ! ! !

In my opinion this school is very professional private lessons are available @ 250 baht per hour I have 2 privtae lessons a week they are great normal classes are 2

hours per day twice a week.

They even complete all the details for your visa they do the lot. I would recommend this school to anyone.

Sorry to hear about your problem very clear it is all your wifes fault from the sounds of it you are perfect, just a couple of things if this business was a big as you say your loss was as big as you say WHY oh WHY did you not keep an eye on the books.

Common sense would tell that's what you do I mean YOU did say YOU built the business up from nothing so would it not be the acceptable thing to look at the books on a very regular basis.

Fitting In

WHat doies this mean exactly WHY do people try so hard to fit in try the following

1/ Be polite to all you meet

2/ RESPECT the culture of the country you are in

3/ Don't complain by saying where I come we do it this way ( you are not there now )

4/ Mix with the locals whenever possible

5/ Try and learn the language ( even if you mess it up the will respect you for trying )

6/ Smile it will open all doors for you

I live in huge appartment block am one a of a very few westerners living there, I the block I am in I chat and have a drink now and then with locals on the grass outside the complex these are good people after a few weeks of doing this maybe 1 night a week food left at me door people teaching me thai but the best part is that sometimes say you good man you our friend...how good is that

I did not try to fit in it was a natural progression from all of the above.

As if there is not enough death and pain in the world caused by guns a certain country which will remain nameless has that many killings by guns it does not even reach the papers but they keep on selling them DO NOT SAY it the people behind the gun the point is they are so easily available a dog could get one.......

Tell the parents of all the little kids who have been killed in schools etc guns are OK...see what the reply would be.

YOU want a gun go back to your own country and shoot it ...........simple really

My View For What It's Worth

I agree that people from different countries back grounds cultures whatever can present themselves in different ways some good some bad some outgoing some shy, now I will put my hand up to say that I have often judged people in not such a kind way because maybe they did not respond to my smile my hi how are you whatever.

But as age wears on the wine gets cheaper I become more mellow I now think we should just take people AS PEOPLE we are all different heaven help us if we were all the same ( could you imagine all males like me handsome funny well dressed just the whole package ) what a shame that would be.

We all have off days sometimes we may not always smile like we normally do but next the day we are fine, spare a thought for those not as fortunate as we expats are we come to live in asian countries and I am sure locals look at us and think rich man we may not be rich but in their eyes we are and I am talking wealth they cannot even understand, we are all in this position sometimes.

Lets accept people for what they are JUST LIKE US not for what they do where they come from we all do what we have to do to survive it's human nature.

So people are people we all laught we all cry we all have our own problems but we are people.

We all BREATH we all BLEED and sometimes we all need a hug no matter how big and tough we are, so next time if someone does not respond to you the way you would have liked STOP think how are they feeling today it won't hurt you to do it it's free and maybe JUST MAYBE you will continue your journey with a smile ON YOUR FACE.

I think that riders of big bikes have a certain balls-out aura. An 'I'll punch off your wing mirror if you <deleted> with me' thing going on. Even the BIB sometimes don't mess with them. After all, it takes a fair bit of confidence and physicality to ride one of these beasts through traffic or blasting down the highway.

Scooter riders on the on the hand are little fairy gaylords.

AH well lets see strength and confidence to ride a big bike....I never see much confidence when the big bikes are in traffic ! ! they lay back like wet bus tickets and for the open road well what skill does it takes to ride in a straight line ! ! ! as for scooters riders being little fairy gaylords one can only assume you know a lot about fairy gaylords ....you sweet thing you xoxoxo

Gentleman Gentleman PLEASE

NOw all take a deep breath, I ride a new Filano and love it back home I ride a great Triumph 650 and love them both NOW both have just 2 wheels some would say those who ride big bikes loud thumping sounds comming from big chrome pipes have small dicks hence the big bike and those who ride scooters well that has yet to be confirmed.

BUT i love my little bike darting in and out of traffic problem easy on gas it suits me ........but I miss my bonnie...... so we all ride bikes some bigger than others for all sorts of reasons...

SO lets all relax enjoy some friendly big bikes VS scooters and have a laugh.

Damn will have get of this site only so much red left.

So what is a troll there are many variations for this word and you can read into the meaning as you see fit, my humble opinion is that we place postings on here to get a view shall we say even an opinion but save us all if we think that for one moment we should only receive what suit's us ! ! I read many posting some good some bad and some very funny I must admit. The thing is we are ALL TROLLS to some degree we a post and something says REPLY REPLY REPLY and we do.

Some I reply to some I don't depends on my feeling about the posting content but the bottom line if WE put our personal views and opinions in a public forum then we have to expect some comments we don't like, it's not rocket science becuase not everyone is ever going to give the replies yuo want to hear.

So in short if you don't want to be harrassed abused receive comment you don't like try these ideas.

1 ) Write sensible posts one's that make sense

2 ) Try and keep really personal things out of the postings if you have a REAL problem talk to a good friend NOT THE WORLD

3 ) Don't say anything about someone else that you would not like said about you

4 ) If in DOUBT leave it OUT......I you don't post it they can't comment on it.

Life is too short to all consumed by what is written on the forum, it's a great forum but it is JUST a forum.
