  1. Sorry, I was asking this question on behalf of a friend - so 'I' refers to the person asking the question.
  2. Hello, I have a retirement visa (Israeli passport) and I need to report (first 90 days report) to immigration for my 90 days period ending. What happens if I don't report and leave Thailand 20 days after the 90 days report is overdue? Will I have any problems in the airport leaving Thailand? Any other unpleasant issue possible? Could I enter again in the future with visa exemption or regular tourist visa? (not planning to use the retirement visa anymore) Thank you!
  3. Thank you all for helping, I will look into some of the options that were suggested. 🙏
  4. the objection to auto is simply because I'm used to having a leg break such as the honda wave has, in the past i tried scoopy for a few weeks and ended up having an accident (maybe because it was very light) so I don't want to risk again with auto. 'There' I mean Koh Phangan, where I live at the moment. so yes, I'm interested in a geared bike, I think the Honda Wave is labeled as 'semi automatic' bike, meaning it has a leg geared paddle but no clutch.
  5. Hi, I've been looking to rent Honda Wave (I got used to it in the past) but i've noticed all rent shops these days have only automatic bikes to rent like 'Klick' etc. - does anyone know a modern bike like Honda Wave which is available to rent in the shops there? Thank you
  6. Sorry to hear that, I suspect that before the 60 days exemption change, tourists had to go to the thai embassy and to get a proper visa and had to spend 2-3 days in laos and 'support' financially the tourism in Vientiane, and since now with the new 60 days rule it's not needed anymore - they implemented this new 2-3 days before enter back rule.
  7. You were not able to come back to Thailand the same day? they asked you to stay 2-3 days in Vientiane?
  8. Thank you all for the valuable info! To sum up if I understand correctly -vientianie border run possible but will need to spend at least 1 day in vietniane. Correct? -is it the same with Ranong/Myanmar? Or possible in and out same day? -cheapest air option is Hong Kong?
  9. Hi, I have an Israeli passport (located at Koh Phangan), i got into Thailand 2 months ago with Exemption 60 days stamp, just got yesterday 30 days extension at the immigration, so in 1 month I'll have to leave Thailand. 1. Would I be able to get 60 more days with a land border run? or is it only possible by entering via air? 2. Between the 2 options (Myanmar and Vientiane) which one would be better/safer? Thank you!
  10. Hello, Could somebody please send me a google maps location of the bus station in Surat Thani I need to go to get a bus/minibus to Ranong? (I think there are 2 or 3 different bus stations or terminals) Also, does anyone know when is the first bus in the morning? I read there is a bus/minibus leaving every hour. Thank you!
  11. Thank you! I'll let them know, I guess there is no way to be 100% sure as it depends entirely on the immigration office.
  12. Hi, Thanks for the answer. They have been before a few times in Thailand but for short periods of time. This year, they've been 2 months plus another for extension. They used a single tourist visa. So they are not the typical in an out tourists with lots of stamps.
  13. Hello, My friend and his partner (Israeli and American passport) about to finish their tourist visa+extension and thought about flying from Samui to Vientiane (Staying in Vientiane for a couple of days and coming back) and back - will they encounter any problems getting a 30 days stamp at the airport immigration on the way back? or is it usually as easy as doing a land border run? and is it possible to get after 30 days extension at the immigration? Thank you!
