You do not have to go to DLT. Many places in Thailand they have offices and vehicle inspection shops that does it all including insurance for a small extra fee of 50 to 100 baht. You can probably pick up the papres the next day. I did it upcountry for a car with Bangkok plates. Very easy.

Was it the phone scam where they tell they are police or something? Common in Thailand and other countries and some people are stupid enough to transfer their money to an account belonging to a voice in their phone. Please report in the hope that the scammers will go to jail.

For platelets I believe blood type is not so important. I had a platelet transfusion of another blood type because of cancer treatment. I have A-, but cannot give transfusion because of cancer and other things. But of course the platelets have to be very clean so it has no red bloodcells mixed in.
