  1. Enough with the scare tactics. If you guys had done your jobs a little more cleanly and intelligently, it wouldn't have come down to this.

Yeah, because Thai politics was so clean before this. The deluded hypocrisy that comes from those championing this broken court's judgement must be one of the great wonders of the modern world.

Here we have a court that wouldn't be allowed to sit in most of the world because of glaring vested interests, protecting a narrow power grouping by nefarious means.

Would you tolerate so many members of a PM's family holding so many ministerial positions in your home country, check out how many of the Thaksin clan hold influential positions in Thai politics, it's a very unhealthy situation for any country to be in, whether they were democratically voted in or not.

And not a single one of them a 'career politician' either..... How could anyone do that to a country they supposedly love????

As a matter of fact, I doubt the Thaksin regime has had a single true career politician in any major ministerial position in all its time in power, and that is the reason the nation has been falling apart at the seems for over a decade and has become deeply polarised and massively corrupt way beyond the pale.... even by Thailand standards.

  2. "However, he said that the Pheu Thai party had already worked out a plan to cope with the court’s judgement whichever it will be but he declined to elaborate."

Hope it's a better one than your rice policy, tablet scheme, car rebates, etc....

    I like this one.....

Churapong has already got up on stage and declared the ammassing of a 500,000 red army that will be 'armed' and ready to descend on Bangkok should the government ever be removed by the courts.

So is he threatening to deliver on his promise??

What were his three main targets again????.... Oh I remember.

    The Independent Agencies.

    The Military

    The PDRC.

I certainly would like to see them try it.

  3. Thai court to rule Wednesday on PM dismissal case

BANGKOK, May 6, 2014 (AFP) - Thailand's Constitutional Court said Tuesday it will rule on May 7 on whether to dismiss Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra from office in an abuse of power case.

"The hearing is over... the court has decided to rule on May 7 at noon," court president Charoon Intachan said.

    Yippee

    The end is nigh.

They surely can't go against the former 2 court results without drastically undermining them with a different ruling on the exact same case. That would cause a massive inter-judicial revolt... It would also create chaos as it will show that this government are 100% above the rule of law and will be the final destruction of so called democracy in Thailand.

There are millions willing to fight a ruling in favour of the Thaksin and nepotism.

I also hope that they don't engineer a compromise by chopping Yingluck but leaving the cabinet... That would leave an equal amount of acid in the stomach of the nation.

It will pave the way for either Surapong or Chalerm to be installed as PM and that will lead to a 'crackdown' on protesters which would possibly be worse than 2010. Which in my opinion will be a fast track to a coup or civil war.

It's all or nothing.... Upset the reds and there will likely be limited skirmishes, upset the other side and it could be all out war.

  4. Moreover, he believes that holding an election on 20 July will be the best way out of the political impasse for the country, with another election to be held in a year and a half.

Another one with the jaded opinion that a July 20th election will solve all problems...... yawn!

It will be exactly the same as the Feb 2nd.... It won't be accepted, it won't be completed and it won't even happen now that the EC have the ability to defer it in the light of disruption.

So how the hell can all these idiots continue to be of that stupid opinion.... where have they all been for the past 6 months?

Going ahead with this election without compromising on reforms first will just keep us in a vacuum, and this vacuum will be without a cabinet or PM if these Thaksin lackies get their way.

RULE OR DESTROY THAILAND.......... IS THE ONLY WAY FORWARD FOR THAKSIN.

Sad thing is..... Should YL and her puppets all be removed over the next week, they will all still be bitching from the sidelines and whipping up dissent and probably violence from the red muppets.

  5. Nice to see Mango Bob once again licking his lips over the thought of red shirt violence and death.

If you think for a single moment that the PDRC supporters are even remotely frightened of the reds in an all out battle, you are mistaken... The PDRC know they can draw literally millions out against the reds were the reds will be lucky if they can get 300 to fight face to face.

The reds will be the ones running up the road back to their hovels.

They remind me a lot of the IRA.... they are far to cowardly to come into the open for a showdown in favour of hiding behind some wall or bush waiting to blow people up (including kids).

    Cowardly terrorists.

  6. Wife says the Thai people already know the general reason due to this guy's gf posting on her facebook that the victim took money from the shooter in a business investment deal that collapsed and the investor blamed the victim for the loss of his money.

Thais can not resist blurting out their private lives on facebook, the country is even run through facebook as farcical as it sounds.

There is nothing to say if the 'investment' was legal or otherwise, may just have been an investment in a bad idea that failed for all anyone knows.

  7. <script type='text/javascript'>window.mod_pagespeed_start = Number(new Date());</script>

On this one subject alone that's it in a nutshell. nothing more nothing less.

What you posted are facts, the only ones that oppose your view is this hardcore Magnificent 7 of pro gov supporters on TVF.

They know who they are, and have never posted replies to requests of their democratically elected governments mega achievements. Never will because they don't exist.

This is not a rant by a suthep/dem supporter because I stand for true transparent / non corrupt governance --not this load of family greedy so and so's.

"They know who they are, and have never posted replies to requests of their democratically elected governments mega achievements. Never will because they don't exist."

More to the point I, for one, am ignoring your constant whining on almost every political thread, that nobody will answer your pleadings for an answer to an irrelevant and off topic question.
It's not that an answer isn't available, it's just that nobody has the inclination to waste any more time on you.

Time to cash in your chips fab4, update the CV, but little to update in terms of new skills, and look for a new career.

Perhaps Cambodia or the middle east? I was going to suggest Zimbabwe, but then again Mugabe doesn't need perception throwers, his image is nasty and exactly what he wants to be and outside your basic skills anyway.

I would ask him who this"nobody" is? It isn't me. Who is "nobody"?

Bit like his "majority" claim? WHat majority? Polls don't highlight his majority. Failed Feb2 election doesn't highlight his majority. When the majority voted for the 2007 constitution that is not accepted and a majority is made up to suit an agenda.

So rest assured when he says "nobody" he means himself.

Rest assured when he says the "answers are available" rest assured they are not. They fall over themslves to provide links to prove their points and to get the upper hand, but the one thing that would prove unequivocally, without question and would shut us up and make us look like idiots they reply by stating that we are wasting their time and that was after replying you with a 60 odd word reply. no link in this case. EVERY other case is linked to prove them right and us wrong. Not this time.

So he doesn't want to waste time giving you an answer in showing the PTP schemes are successful, but has no worries wasting his time telling you that he won't waste his time proving the PTP schemes are successful.

That my friend is PTP logic right there.

and in fact deserves the pigeon award.

    Allow me to elaborate more.

fab4 like all the red supporters who think YL and the PTP have been a tremendous government who's policies have brought goodness and quality of life to all those poor and previously neglected people from the north etc.... Are nothing more than hypocrites.

Before this political impasse reared its ugly head, I am willing to bet as much as you like, that these very same people were out in force criticizing the very same government on almost every policy and governing issue that was raised in this forum...

However, now that their sacred Thaksin regime is under threat, they all seem to rally around with the same agenda that this government has been the best thing for Thailand since the Japs retreated.

Basically, they are just an argument looking for someone to have it with.

  8. The current Thai government are quick to USE the UN when they want their sorry butts backed up by them when things are not going in their favour, yet when it comes to the UN having any negative view on anything Thai, they are just as quick to ignore them.....

Thailand is in for a huge wake up call once it becomes international news that they are facing possible sanctions.

  9. Open prisons are for people who are about be released, or those who have done very well during their detention and given a 'high trust' status.

These open prisons are like holiday camps, not a place where you bang up someone on 13 lifer sentences, what the hell is going on??

He must have been given 'trustee' status to get in there, and chances are if he had shown full rehabilitation, he may well have had his sentence commuted to a single life term and been paroled after about 25 years, having already served 12 he may have tasted freedom eventually.... free at 68.

The guy will likely get caught, they almost always do, the police are very good in the UK... When they do get him hill regret what he has done and will be shipped straight to a highly secure prison and will also probably spend the next few years in a solitary confinement cell with only 1 hour a week out for a shower and zero privileges.

Stupid man... He has just turned a very good situation into a very bad situation for himself.

  10. They need to start thinking in terms of dumping the constitution for this period as it has clearly shown it is badly written and flawed from end to end.

It is lacking many needed articles and does nothing other than to hold the country in a vacuum.

The PTP are in dire trouble because they breached the constitution on many fronts and it is going to be their certain demise, it's ironic how they cling to the same constitution when it suits their agenda.

Abhisit has hinted that his proposals can be negotiated when he said to the government 'if you find thm interesting. the come and talk'.... Well..... Surapong and Noppadon have rejected it on behalf of the puppet who is yet to even comment.... They must think they are the entire government instead of an incredibly bent politician and a lawyer.

Abhisit..... You tried your best..... Drop it, and let the independent agencies complete the job and there won't be a government in a week or so... You plans will fly better once this rabble are no more. The senate will appoint an interim government who will hopefully set up something similar to your requirements.

The Puppet has already agreed to allow the EC the power to delay the election date..... This means the election can be held off until the 5 or 6 months work is completed.

Abhisit had the decency to offer a way out of the crapper for the country and the PTP and YL.... They seem to have rejected it, and now Abhisit will get their own way in the end without the PTP.

Their choice and they blew it at the hands of Surapong and Nappadon....... well done.

  11. Won't be surprised if the local tobacco company sponsored this "research", there is so much misleading and wrong info in the OP that I'm not even going to start pointing out all the BS.

Just a few days ago I've seen in the BBC news something about the e-cigs being marketed as smoking aids and they shown some statistics about number of smokers kicking the habit by switching to e-cigs.

In the UK the amount of smokers that have turned to e-cigs between August last year and march this year has risen by 450% and that is just 7 months.

The more people that smoke e-cigs, the more they convert other smokers of tobacco cigs, so it is having a snowball effect.

Even in Germany, the government have made it legal to smoke e-cigs in bars and in the workplace.

They will be taking over as the dominant smoke within a couple of years, and the governments, tobacco industry and EU legislators are very twitchy about the loss of revenue..

There are just too many arguments and provable facts in favour of the e-cig lobby for it to be ignored and soon western governments will tax it like tobacco eventually and a 10ml e-liquid bottle will likely cost the same as a packet of cigs, and in the UK that is more than 10 USD a pack... However, e-liquid is particularly simple to make and ingredients are simple to acquire.

My wife says that the new legislation will be ignored by the people... they may make a couple of examples by jailing a couple here and there, but that will be for products actively containing nicotine at point of sale such as e-liquid or ready to go shishin cigs.

I am going ahead with my website... The market is booming here.

  12. songhua, the mob was leaving the ministry, because they were told, that tens of thousands are comming the clear the area.

there were only 80 representatives allowed to enter the ministry compound, the rest stayed in the distance, where they were gathering from the morning.

Rubbish... go to ASTV now, there is no mass gathering at all even in the district, they would be on camera if they were there at all.
