" It also sets penalties for encouraging students to violate the rules of up to a three-year jail term, a fine of up to Bt30,000 or both.
Wow. College students going to jail for kissing in public?
-
Wow, this could be the major change they have been looking for...

There must be some connections between this and the changes in work permit laws

If he did not actually steal it and the shopkeeper has it in her possession why would he have to pay for it? Bizarre.

You can go that way and to court, not me. Pay on the spot if ever in the situation. But I have a license, it is getting caught without it is the problem
I doubt they will follow through and file the paperwork, but not sure really.

If you get stopped just make sure the officer files the correct paperwork.

If you have a license or not you will be sitting in long lines at roadblocks waiting. Here, they have a roadblock all day every day on the same road. Seems weird to me. I am sure there are many other important jobs the police have to do.

What are "general affairs"?

The purpose: larger businesses, higher up people come in and capitalize on the structure.

I don't intend to derail the thread, but Parnis makes excellent replicas. If you can afford a genuine brand name go for it. I cannot! So, the Parnis satisfies my desire to collect a few. I have a seiko 5 too.

A teacher who makes such an aberrant decision does not deserve to keep their job. This kind of ignorance and social ineptitude is not fixable. Apologize vehemently, but do not come back to work.

He is not in jail? Huh?

Smart, well balanced, emotionally mature teachers who are relaxed and happy to be teachers can pretty much make any pedagogy work.

Thailand does have good food. A real effort to improve certain areas of the food industry, including agriculture, would be beneficial for everyone, for sure.

Not sure about the forward thinking school director comment. Look at the regimented (almost frightened to do something wrong?) faces on the kids waiting for their hug and chance to speak English before going into class. Although the teacher may be genuine in her love for her students, their faces show all that is wrong with the Thai education system.
I wonder how long they must stand in line at attention.

They do not need any tests until they get past the age of 6 or so. After that, tests are no big deal if all other factors are normal.

I live in Sakon and it is a great little city in Isan with coffee shops, restaurants, and plenty of little local places to relax and visit with the kids, but getting a good haircut here is really difficult.
Thai police force takes blundering step backwards

It does not surprise me that a decision like this was made, but what does surprise me is the leaders who make it are allowed to continue in key roles.
