Feet are offensive in Thai culture? Give me a break. A revolting habit in Thailand is for people to pull their legs under them in public places, with their shoes or bare feet touching the chair or sofa they're sitting on. You see this all the time in coffee shops and restaurants. Seriously, do this at home but not on a fabric sofa in Starbucks, which is just disgusting. annoyed.gif So it's offensive to SHOW the sole of your foot, but rubbing it on the seat of a chair is OK?

Countries have many different traditions and habits that you are not used to. I suggest a good book on Thai culture. If you don't like it don't come to Thailand. Or perhaps you could discuss it with the government when they get one. It wasn't to long ago when men wore skirts here! Can you imagine that? Skirts and god knows what underneath sitting on the same chairs as you and I. Wow talk about disgusting. Only in Thailand eh? Or are there other countries where men in skirts and no knickers are allowed to sit on chairs? Naw. Must be only in Thailand. biggrin.png

Some men in Scotland wear skirts (they may be tartan, but they are still skirts) During the 2nd WW, soldiers from kilted regiments were forbidden to go upstairs on double decker buses or trams. I wonder why that was.

To keep the population growth increasing? rolleyes.gif

Is there a way to get rid of these creatures, poison or something? There is one of them just outside the bedroom window that wakes me up every night. Daytime he's always quiet xblink.png.pagespeed.ic.AQgCnSOpp_.png , so I can't go hunting for him.

Go home and live in a concrete monstrosity.

I am at home, hence my question. Any other suggestions?

The important point here is that they were catching and eating the wildlife in MY hotel,

Oh how wrong you are...... smile.png

If you have "wildlife" like this in your hotel, I for one would hesitate to book a room in your hotel.

    "Owls

    Snakes

    Huge black scorpions

    3-inch beetles

    Bats

    Atlas moths

    Fireflies"

    Hospital ?

A comfy cell with steel bars would have been more appropriate!

Followed by a court appearance, a huge fine and deportation.

I think a 500 baht fine and an apology to the jungeceylon should be enough.... no damage and no harm to anyone.

Did you miss the picture of him?

Gecko's. Hand formed charcoal cooked burgers.

"Hand Formed" ??? Whats that? sounds like something to be avoided at all costs!

( NOTE. Burgers are flattish and circular. Are hand formed ones a different shape, if so they wont fit the buns !

...........unless they (the buns) are "hand formed" to fit the aforementioned burgers. smile.png

  9. @baywatch82. Have you tried to log in to your router/modem and type the right user name and password?

Sometimes the username and password changes to a default setting when there is a power outage.
