  1. Hi guys, hope someone could shed some light on this one for me... I always get a 6m tourist visa when I come to thailand... On my last entry they stamped my passport for 90 days instead of 60... Came on 5th march and passport stamped till 31st of May... Would I be overstaying if I stayed the full 90 days???

  2. Can see your point about labour not being able to do anything, but to argue any case of Tory legislation the best people would be the opposition.. If mr blunkett sees any sense in what I said then he would jump at the chance to argue a point with his opposition.. That's what uk politics is all about, slime balls arguing with each other to make them selves look good to the voters without any regard as to what's best for the country.... I know my post does contain my business details and name, bit these details are already public domain on the internet to anybody who googles them... If the post is removed I can understand why, but it contains nothing that companies house hasn't already published on the internet.. Thank you for you honest opinion.. Regards stu

  3. Lol Roy hattersley is no relation as far as I know... If I spend less than 90 days a year in the uk I would be classed as non domicile, which means hmrc would have no authority to tax any of my earnings, rather than earn my basic as PAYE, I would invoice the company as a consultant which is perfectly legal... Many large companies in the uk have offshore registration... Isle of Man for example has much lower vat and taxes, the uk tax system allows these companies to move as much profit abroad as they like, paying very little if any tax... Another fantastic uk policy... I will 100% post any reply from my email for all to see on thus forum. Thanks stu

  4. I used a bad agent so withdrawn application and going to re apply.. If you struggle with you dates you can back date a withdrawal as a director, I only have to wait 1 more month and I can re apply... Being a director is a formality anyway, doesn't make any difference if you trust your dad... Just have to make sure you earn over 18.6k as PAYE... Saying that it's more likely to be lowered over the coming weeks due to the ukba high court appeal... Hope you get sorted though, it's all pure bull s@&t...

  5. I know I'm to blame for using the wrong agent and not doing the research, it's just a crazy amount of paperwork to provide when I have wage slips and a p60 like every other working person in the UK... To be fair on blunkett, he was in charge of the home office when my friend fetched his Thai gf back on a fiancé visa... He needed a letter and some bank statements.. He was self employed too lol

  6. Hi all, just written a letter to my MP about the income requirements. I have not done this to get my application overturned, i'm fully aware I have to re apply.. I just wanted to raise some points... Just thought I'd let anyone interested in having a read give me some feedback before I send it... Regards Stu

Edit: I have removed the file as it contains too many identifying details, name of author and his company. Feel free to post it again after moving these details.

  7. I'm in a similar predicament, I'm a director of a ltd company that's family owned with my mother as an other director... I'm just going to resign as a director whilst still being employed with a wage in excess of the requirement... I can still be in full control of the company... Take my wife back on a 6 month family visit visa then re apply for the spouse visa after 6 months employment in my new post.... It only applies if your a director, even if you still owned any share...

  8. The ct600, vat cert, etc are not a problem because this is all information that is not confidential and already available to anyone who asks for them at companies house.. I would not need dividend vouchers because I'm not relying on that income, just the salary.. The problem is just the bank statements.. It just looks like the wording in section 9 states the documents would only be required if using a combination of salary and dividends to meet the requirement, or just using dividends...

  9. Hi thanks for your reply.. Yes I am in receipt of a 23k salary and a dividend of 37k per anum, but I'm not relying on the dividend to meet the requirements, just my salary... One of the shareholders is in constant dispute with me because I had him removed from the board a few years ago on good grounds of a conflict of interest.... But I'm unable to get his support on supplying confidential documents to a 3rd party, he is also disputing it on the cost of administration... Our company is not a small concern and providing all documents would cost a lot of time and money... I cannot supply documents to a third party without full consent of all the shareholders...

  10. Thanks for you reply tony, looking at the guidance notes they also have the same wording...

Those in receipt of a salary and/or dividend...

If it was worded "salary or dividend" or "salary or/and dividend" that would mean either type, but the wording "salary and/or dividend" would suggest a salary & dividend combined or just a dividend on its own...

  11. I would be very grateful for any advice on the following issue..

I'm a 25% shareholder and a director of a family owned ltd company with one of the 25% shareholders outside of my family. I receive a salary of 23k as paye for which I receive wages slips and a p60... I also have a contract of employment so I am also legally employed as well as having care of office... One of the shareholders has objected to me providing company bank statements as it would not be in the interest of the company and would be classed as gross misconduct if I did this against their and the other directors wishes..

    9. In respect of income from employment and/or shares in a limited company based in the UK of a type specified in paragraph 9(a), the requirements of paragraph 9(B)-(d) shall apply in place of the requirements of paragraphs 2 and 10(B).

Am I right in my understanding of the English language in thinking this part of the appendix only applies when combining both dividends from shares and salary or relying on just dividends from shares to meet the 18.6k needed...

Thanks in advance for any replies
