Well put JonnyF, a perfect interpretation of the norm of up country attitudes. Jealousy drives too many of these incidents.

Alan and Nott were friends, who loved visitors to their rather remote farm. Their generosity and welcome was seemingly boundless - yet this cruel and senseless act ended the lives of a beautiful and loving couple.
Rest in peace

Well, they trespassed a little bit into some off-limit area for a short while. So what? Why just not let it go. The "event" is neither newsworthy nor does it deserve any attention whatsoever. Truly ridiculous mount made of a molehill.
Until they fall through the thin earth/salt crust into the scalding water below and die of 3rd degree burns - then what will it be?

Having visited Yellowstone on a couple of occassions, my take to the type and size of signage, is that major (big) signs are placed at the entrances to the areas of interest, and that the smaller signs are provided inside the areas as reminders. Why small signs, because the authorities do not want to blot the vista's (or your photographs) with huge signs - aesthetics for the visitor benifit.
In addition, pathways are clearly deliniated by stone or wood borders to the paths.
No excuse. Just ignorant Asian tourists.

I believe the parasailing harness is not designed to be able to be released when it is under load e.g. when the person is airborne, which is indicative that the harness was not correctly attached to the parasail, which as the video shows was quite a hurried activity.
The whole set up is clearly for "single occupancy" and is not designed for an additional person, so what was the other person doing climbing up into the rigging? It appeared that he was snagged by the harness at lift off, and climbed up on to Mr Hussey' shoulders to save himself from falling. This action could have caused the harness to release or to fail.

Look at the state of him, he looks like an advert for embalming salts. 96 is way past your bed time.
I just hope you reach his age, but without his obvious sharp mind and albeit slow mobility.
Go for your century Phil, maybe you'll get a telegram from the Queen.
You are an inspiration to us all (except one)

As it was his left arm that was severed, it obviously wasn't hanging out the window at the time of the accident.

Believe daily total flights should be 952 (not 752), which would reflect international flight average of 196 pax, and domestic average of 130 pax. This sounds about right.

Each producing 24 megawatts - wow. Think again, try 2 megawatts each, total potential power output is 24 megawatts

Having "rescued" them, where are they taken? To Italy, which is where they were heading in the first place. And from there?
A vast majority start their sea journey from Libya, who is doing nothing to curtail the boats.
Perhaps by returning them to their point of origin, by the next available transportation, will get the message to others, it is not worth the effort or the extortionate amounts they pay the "agents"

Labels usually carry a batch number which provides indication of date of manufacture, and would allow the distributor, and end user to be traced.
As to comments about EIA's, they dont apply, as they are studies issued for the undertaking of specific projects, not the dumping of waste.

I carry two phones, does that mean I'm "doing business". As others have said, rape is rape, and is a criminal act, even here in Thailand.

Doesnt anyone remember Green Shield stamps. Same principle, and that was 50 years ago

All aircraft holds are pressurised. However the temperature control levels are lower in the holds than in the cabins, temperatures dependent upon cargo. If an animal is part of the cargo, the temperature is generally raised but will still be lower than the cabin.

How this topic went from a 70 yearold Korean yogi to Muslims praying beats me.
Violence of any sort, especially in confined spaces , as on aircraft, can never be condoned, regardless of age, race or religion.
The guy was out of order, and deserves his punishment. - as light as it is.

They wouldn't last long trying these stunts back in Kuwait City. A two week stint in a "rehab" centre would await them, which would include deprivation from camels and sheep (males of course).

Only lowclass selfish people hang their underwear on the street. If he could grab it it shouldn't be there anyway...
I have a neighbour who drives his rack of washed underwear onto the middle of the street and leaves it there to dry in the sun, in the moobaan, the house next to his is even for sale....
This is a heartless remark. A lot of Thai's (low class selfish people) do not have the option but to hang their washing out side their houses (in the streets).
You obviously have never walked the myriad of alleyways in Bangkok, which people call home - and happy, cheerful, and friendly people they generally are.
Shame on you.

Easy to track down the group, as the baggage tags will identify the owner of the boxes (passenger involved).
Interesting to note that there is a Thai Airways "Priority" tag attached, and these are only issued to Business Class passengers.
