Hey guys,
Been looking for awhile and still can't find a proper Mandarin class with ED visa. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
Thanks,
Chris -
So for those applying for a fresh visa it looks like it's best to wait it out a month to avoid having to leave the country again in 90 days? Any more info about possible tourist - ED visa straight swaps without leaving the country?
That has never been possible.
I've read several posts on here of people who managed it and was thus possible (I realise most people couldn't do it), nevertheless I was referring to new (normal) policy as point 3 here is unclear.
[*]All new applicants on a tourist visa can apply for the student visa but will loose the length of the tourist visa from the length of the ED Visa ( for example if you have 30 day tourist visa you will loose 1 month from your 12 month ED Visa, if you have 60 days + 30 days then you would loose up to 3 months of the visa dependent on entry stamp and when you got the ED Visa

2nd pic is nice, i'd like to deposit some baby batter into her oven, if you get my meaning
I really tried to understand this post but it's either an inside joke or it's over my head.
Uh baby batter because sperm helps make a baby and oven because the baby grows inside her (like bread or whatever).

Agreed. I came to Thailand in 2007, originally on a 1-year 'O' visa, during which time I volunteered as an English teacher, travelled, then later in the year found a paid teaching post.. of course when I got work I had to have the school's help to switch to an Non-Imm. B visa which allowed me to work, AND to get a work-permit.. since then, until this year when I found better paid teaching work outside Thailand, I have always had the proper documentation, Visa and WP, to be here living and teaching.. looking to the future, when my current contract runs out I'm very much hoping to return to Thailand once again and, yes, I fully intend to make sure I both enter, and hopefully later can remain in, the country via correct and valid visas, and also attain anything else I'll need along my way.. as you say, 'more power to the government in enforcing its visa laws'.. after all, why would I wish to be here knowing I was existing in Thailand illegally, living 'under the radar' and therefore willfully violating Thai laws?.. I have no intention of leaving myself open to being 'picked up' at any given moment, and sent packing probably never allowed to return!! 'Holiday in Thailand could end for expats'?.. well maybe those who are panicking at what amounts to simple enforcement of sovereign laws, should stop treating their extended stay here like it's nothing more than a bit of a yarn, and those who allow their presence as no more than clueless Holiday Camp reps worthy only of their disdain and contempt...
The title of the article should read "Holiday in Thailand could end for expats who VIOLATE Visa laws" I say more power to the government in enforcing its visa laws, those expats who do not abide by them should be kicked out of the country I just wish that the U.S. had leadership that would enforce our visa/immigration laws
Umm volunteering/unpaid work is surely a violation of your visa? Get off your high horse. I want to work in an orphanage and it's illegal, the visa rules are crazy. Target nationalities, I'm from Australia why would I do paid work here for shit all money and much shitter beaches.- 3

Apart from Thai, the nationality with the most inmates in jail is Nigeria.
BS, the USA has the largest prison population of any nation on earth... Where you getting your stats, the barstool?
Obviously alluding to the Thai prison population.- 4

Don't forget that Organic food in many places is less regulated and contains more pesticides and unhealthy substances (just natural ones...)
Also nothing wrong with GMO.
In conclusion, in most countries, GMO non-organic food is, in my mind, better in all ways?

Koh Tao is totally <deleted>, I agree with the 80%+ illegal work force and don't think there is a legal work around in the near distant future (plenty of Thais live in Phuket, Pattaya and even Sumui; but Tao? I've never seen or heard of a Thai do anything not related to driving or maintenance in dive shops.). The bars are <deleted> too, the majority seem to have a 50-50 workforce outside of the kitchen and cleaning. Phi Phi isn't far off too.
Even though i live in a different area, Koh Tao was my favourite place in Thailand. Funnily enough Phi Phi is pretty close to 2nd fave. The man commanilty here is the lack of: enforced regulations, Thai nationals not reliant on tourism and government officials. RIP young farang playgrounds.

Seatran was ferry sorry?
I think they are trying to say that google translate has issued an apology with regard to this very story.
Hi
I am looking into settle down somewere in Thailand when retired. Kow Samui was one of my favourites that I am looking at. I mean checking house prices and so on. There is no rush, still a lot of years before retire. But i have start a little to build up a "feeling" were I would like to live the rest of my life.
Now, this ambulance issue makes me wonder about healthcare on Samui. Is there no big hospital were they can take care of everything almost? I thought Bangkok Hospital is there and some 2-3 private good hospitals.
And another queastion, why not bring the boy by air to Bangkok? Sounds easier?
I've heard Samui has really good hospitals, but maybe this kid couldn't afford them?

Dunno how most of the sports betting for football works these days, but when I was into it awhile ago back in Aus the bet was for normal time. With all the draws in the last few rounds I have a feeling the bookies did well.

Hey, you guys really don't know your bikes do you.
This is a Z1000
This is a Z800
These are proper bikes, if he had launched one of these it would have ended up on the first floor.
Who made any reference to the z series not being proper bikes? Being I4s they are different to the er6n.
-
Also as a naked bike I doubt a er6n can be referred to as a ninja. (The er6n/650r powerplant only puts out 65hp which is half a supersports/i4 600)

It's not a Ninja, it's a Versys 650, I am pretty sure thats the only bike that Kawasaki put the exhaust under the engine.
It's almost certainly an er6n which at a guess is faster than the versys and slower than the zx6r supersports.
3 - Original article says Kawasaki Ninja. That could mean 250cc, 300cc, 650cc. Whichever it was, it's hardly in the "super bike" category.
The ninja range is much larger than that and includes the 4 cylinder bikes which are substantially faster.

LMAO it says "more than" 50 ladyboys.... 10 Thai women and 1 man. The Madagascan women might or might not be ladyboys it doesn't specify, but the "more than" 50 clearly fills up the gap in the maths.... and the poster who thought that logically meant they're all foreign.. what?
