i really want to remove it if possible not just block it

Removing viewable ads from your computer's display will be fruitless. unless you use an ad-blocker. An ad-blocker does not remove the ad, it just prevents you from seeing it. Most ads are not in your computer's operating system but are attached to the browsers or web pages you are viewing. Advertisers use cookies or plug-ins that enable them to display their ads. You can somewhat limit unwanted ads by clearing your browser's history, cookies and plugin data. On Chrome go into settings, click on "more tools", in the pop-up click "clear browser history". A new window will pop up. You first chose how far back in the history you want to clear, then check the first 4 boxes in the list below that. Go to the bottom of the page and click "clear data". I would then install your preferred ad-blocker app, then restart your computer. Your ad problem should be fixed. Just be aware that websites such as Thai Visa use cookies to track subscribers and your login information will be lost and you will have to sign back in, after you clear cookies. Also, there will be times you will have to turn your ad-blocker off as it will block pop-ups on pages you view, such as video attachments.

I use Malwarebytes whenever I get a serious infection.

It comes as a free 30 day trial but I un-install it after the clean up.

That allows me to re-instal it at any later date, should I need it again

Why uninstall? Uninstalling does not extend the free trial expiration date. The current version of Malwarebytes 3 Premium has a 14-day free trial that reverts back to the free basic protection plan, currently version 3.0.6., which never expires. The free version does not offer real time protection but does detect and remove malware, spyware and rootkits, when you initiate a system scan. I use McAfee and the free version of Malwarebytes on my desktop and 3 laptops and have never had any issues.

2.8 2 Years back 2015 it you want to be correct. My last spivo had only done 90+ km, like your one looked like new. I wasn't referring to clapped out I was referring to dated because of all the updates new models there have been since yours was first produced. As far a wheel spin I put that down to crap tyres 2 wheel drive and a light rear end. Not overly impressed.

My friend has a Vigo and that burns rubber in every gear it is a manual though.

My grandpa had a saying about "big fish " stories. "The first liar doesn't stand a chance". The only thing your friends Vigo burns through every gear is oil and gas.

  4. I have loaned money several times over last 3+ years.  I loaned 1200b to wife's cousin to buy an holding steel table to sell produce at the market. Paid back 2weeks later.  Loaned 1500b to single mother neighbor, who works as a custodian at University.  Paid back next pay period. Loaned 2000b to wife's younger sister and her husband to help with the funeral, after the sudden death of his father. It was paid back within a month. Have on several occasions over last 3 years, loaned money to wife's 35 year older sister.  She has always paid back more than she borrowed. She borrowed money in May with repayment due August 1st. I have no doubt loan will be repaid, but told my wife after August 1st the interest charge will be pu**y, payable every 4 weeks while wife is on menses  Wife just laughed.

Sorry to say they are not the same versions, as said above there is more choice on the "US" version. That's why one pays a bit more for the service.

I question your last sentence. When I signed up last month the plan costs of Netflix inThailaind were not cheaper. My price per month was the same 9.99, but with the current exchange rate, paying in USD instead of THB was cheaper.

I tried the 1 month free trial with ExpressVPN on android. Had to contact the VPN to find which IP to connect to as Netflix kept blocking. Its a  cat and mouse game between VPN and Netflix.  The VPN tld me which IP to use and worked quite well on Android. But may I ask you how is your speed using a VPN on TV? Can you watch Netflix in 4K,  HD or SD with the VPN on?

Smart DNS Proxy is not a VPN. (Google the difference) Using Smart DNS, I stream blocked tv and paid subscriber content from the US, through my HP I-7, 64-bit, HD laptop which has 12 Gb ram and Nvidia 940M graphics by an HDMI cable to my Samsung 42" at 1920x 1080 resolution. I have no issues with picture quality or speed. The only VPN I have is HOLA, a free app that does not work with Netflix, but will allow access to some US andThai government blocked websites.  I subscribed to both Smart DNS and Netflix for their 30-day free trials. I used this 30 days to evaluate the Smart DNS program and it did work. Now when I log onto Netflix it allows me to view US content that is not available in Thailand. I subscribed to Smart DNS for 2 years for a monthly cost of less than 2 chocolate dipped cones at DQ. ($1.04)  Also, I would like to forewarn you not to download the Netflix app to your devices. This app can identify your location even if a VPN or unblocking program is used.   https://www.smartdnsproxy.com/?afid=9c06a12a3893

i tried them and they were slow and crap. very unreliable with uk tv.

Well, I have been a subscriber for about 7 weeks and have no complaints. I have had no issues with speed or viewability using 3BB 30/10.  I use Smart DNS daily, watching US based tv Fox, NBC, etc. and paid subscriber services such as Netflix US, Amazon Prime and DramaFever (which are each geographically blocked). Over the last 2 days, I watched the last 3 episodes each of, Chicago Fire, PD, Med and Justice on NBC which also blocks content geographically. When I log-in to Netflix, it takes me to the US site. Last week I finished watching the last 3 seasons of "Longmirer" which are not available on Netflix Thailand. So my experience has totally been the opposite of yours.

  8. If her parents have not yet provided the collection agency with your mailing address or your name, tell them not to give out any information. If your wife has taken ýour last name and her Thai ID and passport, have her new married name, it will be hard to track her down. Living out of the country makes it impossible to collect. I would not contact them, ask for or request any information. Once you make contact they could use this in court as evidence that you are aware of the debt. Tell the parents if they receive any more mail from the agency, to refuse delivery and have it returned and also tell them not to talk with them by phone or if they show up at their house. Collection agencies buy old debt from a lender or get paid a percentage of what they can collect. When it becomes clear to them that the costs involved in collecting an old debt will be more than the financial return they expected, they will give up. Ignore them and they will go away. Do not worry about the consequences of what could happen, if you return to Thailand. How are they going to know?

  9. I use "Smart DNS Proxy" to stream blocked content from the US. I signed up for their free trial, then I subscribed to US Netflix's 30 days free program. Netflix has a lot of content that is not viewable outside the US. After making sure it worked as claimed, I subscribed. It also streams blocked content from the UK, Australia, Canada, several European countries and others. It also allows you to watch sports and listen to music. Setup is relatively easy and took me about 10 minutes, following their graphic and video instructions. I subscribed for 2 years for just over $1a month, a lot cheaper than most VPN's that sometimes don't work. Here's the link.  https://www.smartdnsproxy.com/?afid=9c06a12a3893nk

100% correct! Most will agree, although some durian maniac will pop up shortly disputing it.

Often wondered, who was the first person in history to eat durian? I mean who, when breaking into the thing and being hit with that awful stench, would think of tasting it? Being the first, they had no one to tell them that despite the smell it was really yummy.

My daughter loves it, but I make her eat it on the balcony. I'd love to know what it tastes like, but I just can't get past the smell. I suppose if I was starving I'd kill for some.

Once you get past the smell, you got it licked.

    I can picture the scene:
The van is pushing the pickup to go faster in the left lane , the pickup moves to the right lane and the van accelerates thinking he now has a clear road ahead..........NOT !!
I live near to the no. 1 highway north out of Bangkok ( close to where the van originated ) and I see it daily, it's like wacky races out there.
I don't know if these guys have a tight schedule or are trying to squeeze one more " run " in before home time .
I don't know what the answer is but the so called reforms made recently ( what reforms ? ) have done nothing to improve safety.

    Wrong picture, try again.

Oh how sad that that you should go to all this effort to teach me what I knew some 40 years ago!

My original assertion  was clear. An idling engine will not cool down and you have said nothing that effectively challenges that. Let's just leave it at that shall we?

You're 2 for 2.  Which vehicle's engine temperature will be cooler,  (A) an engine that is allowed to idle for a short time after being driven (to obtain normal operating temperature) or (B) an engine that has been driven at highway speed and immediately shut off? It doesn't take a physicist's brain, only common sense to know the correct answer.

  13. 47 minutes ago, Moonlover said:

I did not suggest, or imply that the engine will overheat. But the fact is that the cooling fan will switch on much more frequently when the engine is idling with the car motionless, than when it is moving and getting the benefit of rammed air through the radiator grill. Thus indicating that the engine temperature, when idling,  is rising above its normal working temp.

Leaving the engine idling will, most definitely not, allow the engine to cool down, which is what some folks seem to believe.

Your second post only reinforces the first sentence of my original post. Ever hear the term "normal operating temperature". After an engine sits overnight the coolant will be the same temperature as the engine block. After you start the engine the heat generated by the fuel burning process, internal friction and oil temperature is gradually absorbed by the coolant. When the coolant reaches a temperature of approximately 190 degrees F (depending on engine manufacturer) the thermostat begins to open, letting the water pump push the hot coolant from the engine into the upper part of the radiator and at the same time pulling cooler coolant from the lower part, into the engine. The radiator is a heat exchanger, so airflow either pushed or pulled thru (it makes no matter which) the radiator fins removes heat from the coolant as it is circulated thru the radiator back to the engine. As the cooler incoming coolant contacts the thermostat it can partially close, then reopen as the coolant temperature rises. When the thermostat begins this open and close cycle, that is the "normal operating temperature". This is the temperature an engine can reach, if allowed to idle for awhile before being shut off.  The coolant in an engine immediately shut off after being driven will be hotter.  In theory, your friend is correct although the time length is extreme.

  14. 1 hour ago, Moonlover said:

I did try to explain to her that when the engine is idling with no ram air coming in the engine gets hotter, not cooler. But, as always here, it went straight through and out the other side.

What would I know? I'm just a falang!

It appears, very little about modern engine cooling systems. Automotive cooling systems are designed and engineered to maintain proper engine coolant temperatures whether the engine is idling or being driven at highway speed in many different ambient air temperatures. It is only with a failure in the system that overheating can occur.

Try reading the British press version and then look back a few months to the Jet ski accident with the Austrian guy.

So drivers local are not the worst in the world. please do not try and say Libya is as that place is at war.

Just like the Australian guy he will get nailed He braked hard on a scooter as the car in front did also but he only had two wheels.

Accidents happen and at times like this with him having to suffer the loss and living with it, do not make a mountain out of a molehill as they do here.

I will remind you  to get a driving licence here in the UK we are trained we have the best training in the world when it comes to driving tests and it takes a lot more than 5 hours.

We also have road sense that is why we have less deaths in a year than you loose in a month or less.

Driving standards there are abysmal yet time and time again farangs get the wrap, when they are the ones who have had the training and have learned to use roads in Europe that are not just a straight line.

I think you must of forgot who are the best drivers and it is not those in your neck of the woods.

It takes more than training to operate any motor vehicle, it takes actual driving experience, common sense and situational awareness. When I was around 6 years old, my parents took me to the St. Loius Zoo. I saw monkeys that could drive mini-bikes and I bet it took a lot longer than 5 hours to train them. They were probably trained better than monkeys in the UK.

You could probably make a similar list for any country... they are superstitious here, we are not, except when a black cat crosses our path... and I spent some time teaching my wife that the change of seasons was not why you get a cold, it comes from bacteria... except after many years here, I see she is right - people do get colds here during seasonal change [which does not exclude bacteria, maybe it activates? I don't know] And you have no idea on 'take your husband'??? really - any guess here?

Here's some education for you. Bacteria "do not" cause colds. The symptoms of the common cold are caused by a virus and are untreatable by antibiotics.
