If you think the article doesn't say police asked her to sign an urgent document, and had she signed it, charges would have been reduced, then you need to read the article again, because it does say that.

Is what he did really such a huge crime in your eyes?
Did you do ever anything illegal in Thailand, maybe pay a girl for a service or so? Remember, that is illegal in Thailand. You should go to jail and thrown out. Or maybe not?
Yes, he did something wrong, and he should be punished. But he didn't kill her. He didn't injure her so that she couldn't walk. He didn't injure her so that she is permanently disabled. He kicked her, it hurt a little, and that was about it.
Agreed. This guy desperately needs to be humbled, and taken down several pegs. But it seems the reclarification of charges she was asked to sign were more fitting for the crime.

When you offer money to the other party it's called a settlement offer and is something completely normal and common thing to do. The other party can accept the settlement and that's that. Or they refuse and press on which is what this woman did. But there is no bribe. It would be a bribe if they paid off the police, the judge or other third parties. But this is not a bribe.
The police told her she had to sign an urgent document, which she comes to realise would have reduced the severity of the charges had she signed it. I think that is the part she is assuming is part of a bribe.

Surely it must be quite an ordeal to swallow and then walk around with that lot inside you. Though the exist stage is probably quite a thrill.

In exchange for a 90-day visa-waiver entry for UK, I'm all for it.
The issue is, when UK people are caught overstaying in Thailand, they just get deported without hassle. When the UK try to deport illegals, the whacky lefties step in and make it difficult for the government to enforce its own rules.

Nothing wrong with Suvarnabhumi, in fact, I'd say it's up there among the least confusing, easiest and quickest to find your way around airports I've been to. Though, immigration queues can be a pain at times.

Order a Thai ice tea without specifying low/no sugar, and you will get an utterly unpalatable 50% sugar beverage.

A bear? Punch it right in the ear hole and it'll run off.

No bear should be caged, nor any other animal. Cruel beyond belief.
Maybe the bear is doing time for bad behavior, now we clearly see why. -

May be he had a ' boyfriend ' same the spanish chef on Koh Phangan ?
It seems very possible that there is a third person involved ...
When you stay in a hotel by the month, the standard housekeeping schedule is once per week, unless you request otherwise.

Many "digital nomads" do get a second passport if they're able to. They also often have 2 phones. 1 for banking and 2FA, which is kept safely at home/hotel, and one with a local sim for carrying around.

Wasn't one of the victims in critical condition, any update on how he's doing?

Attacking the police is always a good idea.

Thai's - frightened to death of any form of competition... If they were doing their jobs properly, competition would mean nothing.
Yea, it's ridiculous that Thai's don't speak Russian, eh.

This 90-days for Russians was proposed before the 90-day for other nations also, so maybe the 90-days for others will happen later.

Guaranteed he wasn't attacked for no reason. He's asked for it.

His name is John, I don't know his surname and I don't know where he lives, I just always bumped into him in 7/11.

The last time this was mentioned, I thought they were going to tack it on to airline fees. A bleeding kiosk? That will be a guaranteed <deleted>show.

I was once surprised, I was simply ignorant (perhaps even somewhat naive as a young therapist) of the factual nature of some, some gay relationships and that fact was/is that domestic violence by one against the other partner was/is high per capita compared to DV in heterosexual relationships. In other words it appears to be quite common.
I learnt this over many years of providing therapy for gay and straight folks and having access the lots and lots of session time, and emperical data on the subject of DV and morbidity factors.
Statistically, the partnerships with the most domestic violence are lesbian relationships.

Kiwi Arrested for Illegal Use of Fireworks on Thai Beach

Whatever happened to the Kiwi's who wrestled the police officer to the ground? That story seemed didn't linger like the Swiss kicker story.
