For gods sake crying poor from a family what bs if you realy love your dad get over here pay the quarantine and look after him for the next few months and after that send him into an aged care facility over here similar to the one a friend of mine used ,,room food 24 hour Care ,,cost him 35000 baht a month and after about 6 months looking like he was already dead he  came back to live in his own condo again a new man ,,giving a single baht to this fund raising is a clear lack of intelligence ,sending back to the uk would only most likely end his existence a hell of a lot of quicker than staying in the land of warmth and super cheap aged care for gods sake the thought of 80 k for a return you have to be joking ,,I keep a budget of what I spend here and last year spent 7000 pound for the year drink everyday sprits shrimp and steak when I want ,,charity is fine but not for this guy 

Obviously the relevance of this comment is up to interpretation but i have looked at the death rates in Australia from the ccp virus and could not find any figures or any deaths from Australia regards to aborigines ,,now there are many articles to inform you of what could happen to the indigenous communities in Australia which are a few weeks old or so  which threatens many infections deaths etc but hey I think there have been zero aboriginal deaths in Australia fwnich isn’t great ,which to me just not only shows you the resilience of the indigineous people but also shows the benefits of sitting outside in the sun or under a tree and chillin out,,,life should be pretty safe in issan I would think 

Well I just recently turned fifty and got a retirement visa with 800 in the bank,,no pension , wish I had pension income of 65000 a month ,but live off less than half of that and live well,,drink everyday and eat well ,,not 40 baht thai food,the thing I don’t understsnd is that if someone is getting 65 k a month in pension , why can’t they scrub up roughly 20000 pound or 80000 baht, from overseas , borrow it from a bank or friends and pay them interest if so be it, yes current exchange rates suck but hey look in the bright side they could get worse,,,if someone gets 65 k a month you obviuosly  have worked hard and long ,,and 800ooo can’t be impossible to muster up ,,,so all this talk of tossing in the towel and moving ship is way over the top

hi all justwishing to get the latest info on the topic of short term rentals

i have recently moved into a new rental on a long term basis

there are obvious signs up showing that short term  rentals are not allowed and this refers to periods of less than 1 month,

the notices also advize people to contact management if someone seems likely to be a short term person or to that effect

after just a very short period of time i have noticed that as usual these rules are not being followed and there are many new short term advertized on sites such as airbnb and booking .com for example

so i wish to ask the question regarding ones writes of use of ones property in the los ,,and of course the legality of it all ,,regards jd

I am sure certain countries citizens are given 30 days bu I think but am unsure that aussies only get 14/15 days , if it's only 15 then a tourist visa will be applied for regards

Without a doubt a main talking point anywhere in the world is about phones,,so certainly a murder sentence for the theft of an iPhone must create some kind of conversation and also a act as a deterrent of some sort when push comes to shove over phones

Hi all I was just wondering the consequences of overstaying a couple of days , a friend of mine is in this position and to complicate things he is worried about also receiving a fine for non reporting after arriving in thailand as a home owner ,,his 30 day visa on arrival has just finished ,we presume he can just pay for a couple of days of overstay at the airport ,hopefully he will not be found on the way to the airport , thankyou

I am a condo owner and arrived on a visa on arrival ,,,and received a fine recently for failing to report within 24 hours to immigration,,a law which I was unaware of,,

Hi all I just wish to ask a question regarding the non immigrant 0 visa based on retirement as i will be applying for this today or tomorrow and have received already a lot of valuable advice already from many members,,but the question I have is that I have planned a trip to vietnam on the 25 th of may until about the 7 th of June with my partner ,,a trip neeeded as I arrived in thailand visa exempt and needed an outgoing ticket as did she,,so the question is that will the non immigrant o visa still have validity if issued later this this month if I make this trip

the plan is to then convert the o visa into a retirement visa next with me having money in the bank

kind regards for any info on this subject

Thanks for the extra info supplied by ubonjoe and others   Not sure if I feel 100 percent sure about everything but at least I have a bit to think about,,  can't believe that those new to this might think it is straight forward , but will give it my best effortssss
