Every time the police do a sweep of the area there is no Africans to be seen. So someone is warning them. Also the growing number of African prostitutes. Puts people off going there

🤔 in my own experience, could have been working for a company that fired him, still owed him money, and when he went to try get his money ,the company then used their "connection" with local police to bring a completely false charge of theft. The guy then left the country due to no visa and work permit expired.. not knowing about the warrant. This happened to me a few years ago, eventually due to my " connections" with tourist police the company had to give me an apology and a compensation payment.. still didnt get the full money i was owed though.. there are a lot of business owners in phuket that try this.

Kamala police are quick to go round bars collecting tea money and demanding "hush money" from bar girls to turn a blind eye. i had the same a few years ago, i jumped into a tuk tuk outside MBK and the guy offered me the same deal. 50 baht to go to a rather filthy looking indian tailor shop. i did order a pair of cargo shorts made to fit, but obviously didnt spend enough , when i got to central festival where i was intended, the tuk tuk driver tried to scam me for 500 baht.. i gave him 200 baht and jumped out, walked away.. i always use Bolt, now, every time. never a problem, never been scammed,,as for the cargo shorts, they turned up at my hotel and not what i ordered or the material i asked for and too tight..
