All these questions about visas and border runs Etta drive me crazy, reading between the lines on nearly all of them. They are trying to beat the ( ridiculously complicated and at times obsurd). system. Why can't people just play the game, get the correct visa and abide by the rules, it's far easier than breaking the rules and then trying to get out of the hole they have dug for themselves

The Thais only seem to care about their tourism industry, so long as someone, anyone is arrested and paraded in front of the worlds media, the Thai police will be happy, they really don't give a toss about this poor couple or who actually did the murder. I do love living here, but now after these murders I am getting the feeling from friends and family that I must be stupid for wanting to live here. These are the same family and friends who were envious that I lived here. And the same family and friends who enjoyed free holidays here while they stayed with us, but now I have had three e mails and two telephone conversations and the general feeling is " why the hell do you want to live in Thailand?" And "I don't think I will ever be holidaying in Thailand again"

How can you just "forget" to report? For thirty days

I have lived in the kingdom for over 8 years on the extension of stay visa ( retired ) I have no intention of ever returning to the UK neverthe less they HMRC deduct taxes every month from my various pensions and in two years time it will be even more when I start receiving my old age state pension I hate and detest seeing the monies I worked hard for being taxed to support those who have no interest in doing a days work that is one of the reasons I left rip of Britain.

If you and your friends are "so rich". Why don't you buy the elite card? Then you can stay here with your girlfriends and run your "bakery". Don't come here bragging about how rich you are and slagging Thailand off, if you don't like it, just go quietly and flash your cash somewhere else

I agree, I live in Sisaket and I don't recall seeing it in Makro, or anywhere else actually, but there is a distributor near my house in Nongkrok who delivers alcohol to local businesses , however the only boxes of beer I have seen there seem to be CHANG and ARCHA, but I will call in there tomorrow and ask them and will get back to you. (if you turn left just past the Tree House Hotel, and before the aquarium on the right, follow that road for about three quarters of a mile and the warehouse is on the left and side )

Absolute scum, take him to the airport ( after a good kicking ) and ban him for life from coming here. Maybe this would send a message that scum like him are no longer welcome. I haven't been to pattaya for about ten years now, and I witnessed this scam happen to a lad and yes, the policeman did make his appearance and the you lad was followed to the cash point machine by the renter. It is beyond me that people still visit pattaya and are oblivious to this scam, even if they don't read about it on the internet before their holiday. They must see it going on when they are on the beach before they decide to rent the jet ski. I am I no way condoning what these jet ski renters do. But I think after all these years. Anyone who gets caught out by this scam have only themselves to blame. After all, no bar girl is going to be impressed by being sat on the back of one of these machines and driven round by some Viagra fueled idiot she would much rather they just handed her the cash instead of wasting it on a jet ski
