When it comes to Isaan i get my 411 from the wife.She's from Bangkok area and worked in the business district with her degree.From what iv'e learned from her your description is pretty much confirms it.I'm curious about Udon Thani never been there what's makes it different from the rest of Isaan? Ok your on the plane cruising at 35,000 feet,stewardess comes up and says "Sir,you're going to have to put a mask on".If you refuse what are they going to do? Divert to the nearest airport n throw you off the plane?or maybe they quarantine you in business class .If there's a chance it's the latter sign me up.

B/c here in Canada i would have to send my passport via mail to the Thai consulate, wait a few weeks for process and pay to get it back. Granted it's not much $35 i don't want to chance it gets lost/misplaced in transit. I would rather apply for it in country or do a border run. -

I've been to Thailand a few times,never to Isaan.Wife is from the Bangkok area, i've since learned Isaan is mostly poor farmers hence no real attraction from a tourist point of view.Point is i don't think you have to be concerned with breathing their breaths. -

1) Can i make a "border run"to extend a 30 day visa? 2) Will the airline let me board knowing my return flight is past 30 days? 3) Lastly immigration,will there be any issues when i land?
