I have the impression, in Bangkok at least, that ambulances automatically turn on sirens and lights when going anywhere. No wonder they are disrespected.
Do you have any facts to support your impression, or is it based purely on envy?

I followed an ambulance with lights and siren blaring last week on the expressway for about 30km.
I was wondering why they drove a critically ill patient past at least half a dozen hospitals.
But of course, I always get as far out of their way as possible, despite some scepticism.
They could have been going to pick up a patient or an accident victim.

And the driving school are not in any danger of being corrupt ?
No checks´s and balance-system ?
I doubt it - after all they are recognised by Khun Sanit's department. Surely their word is like a bond!

I stand corrected, apologies to sungod!

Drink-driving, hope they throw the book at the moron.
That's a bit harsh... He didn't kill anyone, so maybe he could become monk for a few hours and thus clear the slate? Most Thais do this.

The only thing that will work is big fines and tow trucks. Unfortunately, this will take a dedicated and non-corrupt police force.
So it's a non-starter...........

Very interesting, especially as I am thinking of something similar in a few months' time. Thank you very much!

I wished my Mrs wore such 'casual' clothes... she normally looks like a rice farmer.
Maybe she is? Just forgot to tell you 5555. Only joking!

I wonder how many life jackets were onboard ?

The driver of the bus was a woman and she died of her injuries...from the video it looks like it was her fault but R.I.P
I'm sorry, I can't bring myself to wish her everlasting peace - the dumb b1tc4 also endangered the lives of dozens of kids!

Just checked Bangkok Air Samui-BKK tomorrow. Cheapest flight B4910, cheapest seat (promo ) on more desirable flights B8160, "Web Freedom" seats B12990.
And that is one-way fare. You can fly Bangkok - Tokyo for B12,067 RETURN!

I would not worry. These things happen all the time. If its just a one off then there is no problem.
Only concern yourself if it keep happening all the time.
Then go and speak to the apartment manager... perhaps but a padlock on your bin.
Its only happened one time... not serious.
jak2002003, are you pissed? Read again the first two lines of your post: don't worry, it happens all the time... but if it happens all the time, then worry... Am I the only sober nut here? And to the OP, can I have the name of your massage parlour please?

And what evidence do you have to support this? Or maybe you've done something similar in the past?

These two guys (from the Indian sub-continent I'd say) don't care about filthy water - at home they drink it!

Last time he drove to Sisiket there was no tree there, so it can't be his fault. He only wanted his 40 winks

And in a blink of an eye temporary became permanent.... RIP all innocent victims
Minivans must follow 20 point checklist in new "get tough" regulations
in Thailand News
Posted
"The 20 point roadworthiness checklist includes the following, said Thai Rath: brakes, tires, wheels, seat belts, doors, fire extinguishers and escape hammers. These rules will apply from this month."
I wonder how will they conduct the test: brakes: 4 - pass; tires: 4 plus spare - pass; wheels: 4 - pass; seat belts: lots - pass....etc
