If I don't wan't a future partner or wife then I should just not date ???? Woman enjoy sex just as much as men do, sometimes I think more so !!!

so why should I have to be the one to pay for it ?

Equality is not alive and well when it comes to sex, both enjoy, but man pays.. still that's not any different than most things, you very seldom see a woman pay for coffee, drinks or a meal anywhere in the world, when she is with a man.. so man is already paying, the woman should pay with free sex...

It is a one way street now....

How long ago did you leave your monastery. Men pay because it makes us feel good well it does to me.

They have what we desire unless you are a turd burglar, so it just seems sensible right and in some stoopid way honorable to pay. I have been an escort, sex masseur, adult video actor and I was paid well for my services. So these women deserve every penny that get from leeches like us.

  2. How many 1000's are locked up because of inept police work. As all who post on here know you can drive a high powered car kill 2 people and get away with it if you have the right name and the ability to run overseas. No international arrest warrant put out for this alleged murderer because that is what is was.

How about the 2 lads accused of the murder of the 2 Brits are we to believe everything above board there.

The man in charge should start cleaning up the mess instead of believing what he is being told, how many exam cheats are there in the force. You cannot expect to get the results if you do not have the support.

Somebody who commits suicide would not be 'in great mind, body and spirit', one would assume.

How the hell did he tie himself to pier, cut his own throad and be happy. If I was moving on it would be somewhere better not deader. Didn't write a note very handy sent to wife by Line. Where is his phone when was message sent and from where, strange if he didn't have it on him (maybe) when he died should be easy enough to check, was the murder weapon with the body or did a big crab run off with it. Many many questions answer to one ....No I would not cut my own throat I would think it very hard to do physically and mentally.RIP you poor victim

If that is the case,  why are there so many cases of  abuse, reported

against the  right type of person / police checked , etc 555

working  as  carers , teachers  etc .

So many of these private homes do not carry out stringent checks and it's always down to police cutbacks when the shit hits. Consecutive governments have cut down on cash and numbers of  police etc.

Have you got/presented a police check from home or applied for a "working with children's" check, samurai? Has this been asked of you in you situation?

Do you mind helping enlighten many here what is current.

I work in a care home for the elderly in the UK and even for this I have to have a Police Disclosure, what the hell are the authorities doing to protect all kids

  6. Ruining the wonders ! of Pratunam ?  I think that some of the narrower streets should be a bit more controlled as it is crazy getting down some of them with vendors moving huge loads through and motorbikes where there is just room for pedestrians.

To get rid of the market completely would be crazy. Whenever I am in BKK I go there to buy gifts for friends. (ok Im a cheapskate) but who cares.

Keep the market the Sunday one is crazy

So far this is just a suggestion, albeit from the loonie bin.

So many of you - us, are getting our nickers in a twist over something that will probably never get past second base.

I think we all need a cold shower & slow down a bit & wait for something more concrete to be announced before we start to worry too much.

    But hey, just my opinion.

True, but dont we love bitching about it LOL

  8. Tourism going up and now they want to play Big Brother, I never use my mobile when in Thailand I always have a Thai number on a cheap phone just in case it gets stolen. So in one easy step you avoid this silly bit of officialdom. You have emails, twiter, FB so who needs a mobile unless the make you swap your hard drive so they can track your laptop. Nothing is impossible here

  9. I think this is a great idea. For someone like myself who at this time cannot afford to stay permanently at the moment This means I can stay for 6 months and then go back home and work and not have the worry of having to renew. I do not agree with a majority of some of the decisions and rules the Government bring in but this feels ok.

The article points out how important tourism is to the country so why keep on bringing in so many foolish ideas, such as the declaration form where you are supposed to put down social sites , bank accounts etc in this age of stolen identities people are going to be put off by this sort of snooping.

    So come on Thailand

  10. I mostly agree with Jacko, it's all part of the mix - along with temples, beaches, spicy food, ladyboys, shady characters, bad English, etc.- that differentiates Thailand from other destinations, gives it a certain "frisson", if that's the right word, and draws people here. I can never understand people who come to live here, then complain because Thailand is what it is.

I agree, but what alternative does this woman have up her sleeve. I think I can say that there are most probably more than 120,000 females working in the trade and when you take into account the others employed such as bar staff, cleaners ,security, the number affected is a lot higher.

She says she wants to get rid of people trafficking, the sad news is this happens in all industries look at the row over shrimp fishing, and all this stuff willl only go underground with the ladies having less protection than before. If you do not believe this visit London where 100's of Eastern European girls are duped into the sex trade with the promise of good jobs once they are here their passports are taken and told if they do not comply their families are in danger. Can you imagine this in Thailand where the police cannot investigate a murder by car by a rich person what chance would a poor village girl have.

It would be better if it was better regulated ( how many illegal premises keep being found ?) and if there was less (alleged) corruption within the law community. It is a fact of life that prostitution exists all over the world a lot more countries make a better fist of it due to legalisation and control so instead of knee jerk responses and ill thought out news releases maybe the authorities should work at a better safer, healthier enviroment for these ladies to work under. How many officials government and law enforcement have stakes in these places, is this a ploy to cut down the number of the opposition because things seem to be slowing down and the bad publicity Thailand has been getting recently..

I write this a a guy who has been lucky to find a beautiful Thai woman and the last few years of my life have been the happiest for a long long time, yes she was working in walking street in a rock bar but the last 4 years have been the best. I include this just to show I am not just some perv who is sad to see the sex side vanishing but as somebody who has enjoyed both sides of this fantastic country and will continue to do so till the day I die.

Also Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam would love the Thai business.

Best wishes to you all Ps sorry it is such a long post

  11. "Pattaya police investigator Piyapong Ensarn was told that the man went into the condo building and ordered a beer from a shop downstairs then disappeared. No more than ten minutes later someone found the body."

Don't anybody think it is strange to order a beer, then go and top yourself?

    RIP

not really!..........One for the road as they say! (pardon the pun there ......i don't find this amusing at all)

I think it strange that anyone would want to top themselves,, I just imagine if there were as many alleged jumpers in the UK polices forced would be thin on ground because todays cops cannot handle the horror then they sue the Government so maybe a good thing Thailand has this facility

  12. wobalt: I have lived here 25 years and in order to renew a retirement visa you have to provide a letter from the bank stating you have at least 800,000 baht in the bank ...a photo copy of your bank book showing the same thing and last 3 months transactions.

Not if you are using the income method for a Retirement Extension.

You do not need 800,000 in the bank if you combine savings and any income i.e. pension together so as long as you can show this and your visa is in order there should be nop need for further personal information

  13. As long as I can see the bank accounts, social media, clubs and hangouts of ALL Thai officials I have no problem at all. I am sure I have used clubs ,bars and other hangouts owned quietly by Officials.

Everybody understands the need for openness in light of terrorists attacks and money laundering but I feel that all the money that will/would be spent on this would be a lot more beneficial to the poor of Thailand rather than making jobs for the boys.

Allegedly they have already let in a good amount of terrorists who got here through unofficial means so surely this will not really help them that much just make official expat residents feel more picked upon and nobody wants to give any organisation all of their personal information.

This does seem like it targets resident foreigners only but once again the dramatic headline makes it as if all foreigners coming to Thailand will be asked for this information. So please TVF think before you print or you will scare even more people from coming to visit this beautiful country
