I'm renting a 166 sq mtr condo in bkk for 51K and am delighted. for me location is main thing followed by size and luxury. No buying for me though

Just out of curiosity why is your preferance to rent rather than buy? If you buy presumably you have a capital gain when you decide to sell in the future but with renting you dont?

Sunday; Went to a charity 'dragonboat' race (UK) that our Company entered a team in - no not me - came in the bottom half but won the fancy dress ( hawaian ) - TGF was hoarse with all the shouting so that was good

As regard to my last topis "gems on beach road" I respect the wishes of Tuky who deleted / finnished it. your choice ! I never once suggested these girls were anything but nice Thai ladies that I had the pleasure of meeting.

Hello all,

I have some questions for my Thai wife. We have been legally married in Swiss almost 3 yrs. We are going to Thailand this year and we have planned that we will register our marriage in Thai law also because we must make our baby's Thai passport in BKK ( I have got lot of advices about making Thai passport for my kid from this site previously, thanks for all again).

My question is her now Passport is in her Thai surname and we 've bought her ticket in her Thai surname. I would like to know whether there is any problem( if surname changed ) will make any problem of airticket when we get off from BKK?

If she makes change on her surname to use mine, she needs to make new passport or just change surname on current passport? Can we just use old passport without changing surname? Anyone know the cost ?

My Thai girlfriend changed her surname - she retained the original passport with a stamp on page three showing the change of name - we've had no problems in and out of Bangkok/LHR

I previously needed this info and was advised to Google " thai citizen - what countries can visit without visa before travel" also lots of info on Thai Visa;

I have taken my Gf to Hong Kong and Singapore - entry to both was without Visa and very easy - she enjoyed both trips albeit my wallet was given a hammering with the obligatory shopping;
