Extra 30 day extension
tonray replied to Bert got kinky's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Agreed, and the whole nonsense of placing the onus on the foreigner when the law is meant for landlords is absurd..and then to levy fines or refuse immigration services because the landlord refuses to comply is almost criminal. -

In my old house in USA I painted my old cabinets...not that difficult. Get a high quality semi gloss, add some new handles and hardware, and a new ceramic infrared cooktop (I recommend MEX brand) and you have a new kitchen for cheap with a little elbow grease.

Yes, but at least the Durian crop can survive the onslaught -
HomePro can provide cabinet refacing services I believe. I always get their adverts via my Line HomePro Service 'friend'. But in reality likely better in the long run just to put in a new Kitchen. That is a small area...likely can do all for about 35,000 to 40,000 baht including new cooktop and sink. Get non white so no yellowing in future years. Truthfully...if I were in the rental market...I would never consider something as old and rundown looking as that.

Which schools provide lesson plans/training?
tonray replied to noodleslayer's topic in Teaching in Thailand Forum
With your attitude...you won't last one semester in a Thai school. My best advice would be to enroll in a TEFL course and learn some techniques and perhaps you can learn to build a lesson plan too ! -

Absolutely....I am terrified every time I take the car out. I had a moto taxi guy blast his horn and make threatening gestures to me just yesterday as I was driving on the roadway and he thought he had the right of way pulling out in front me me from a parked position. I was about to turn left into Big-C (with my signal on of course) but he had to get out in front of me .....<deleted> idiots.
