  1. I'm pretty sure i paid the same 19 baht at Big-C that I always have
  2. We had a supposed gold 'robbery' in our Moobaan (in the end it turned out to be a family member who pilfered granny's stash)...but the association was all up in arms and severl residents demanded cameras put up along every soi to catch these cretins. We live at the very end of the soi and have a very nice private garden, which I enjoy every day weather permitting...the last thing I need is a camera staring at me while I sit out in the afteroon, knowing the goofballs in the security booth are watching me all day (I'm retired so I'm often outside near the front side of the house). I told the GF to communicate to them...any camera would be seen as an invasion of privacy and it either get's disabled or I move back to Bangkok. There were some additional cameras installed near the front entrance of the MooBaan but nothing near me...hopefully she made my point with them with emphasis.
  3. It's quite simple...the prostate surrounds the urethra (tube that flows the urine) and when enlarged it squeezes the tube restricting the flow, if alcohol aggravates the enlargement......ipso facto
  4. I swear by Vivo phones. My first smartphone was Vivo...still use as ebook reader and over WIFI (old android not secure for financial apps anymore). The Huawei I replaced it with sucks big time. Soon going back to Vivo...GF also has Vivo...rock solid and cost effective.
  5. 'The meeting was scheduled for a hermetically sealed room with external oxygen supply to ensure everyone stays awake"

  10. Going the other way, using USA cards in Thailand usually entails a 3% foreign transaction fee....I'm going to guess there is some similar foreign transcatio fee going in reverse also.
  11. I believe thet are referring to proof you are a resident such as a passport
  12. You will not need anything additional to charge your phone or Chromebook.
  13. Ok...but what about posting the downside too ?
  14. Unless you are talking about Laptops/phones or most other electronic devices which do not need any conversion (as they are designed to operate globally)
  15. Did he sue for divorce based on irreconcilable differences ?
  16. Hot , sticky and wet here in Nonthaburi...rained all freaking day....this is the first rainy season that there is mold growing on our wooden bench out front and the driveway has a slick coating of algae/mold. Waiting for some dry days to scrub everything down. We have not had more than 2 dry days in a row since July pretty much....can't wait for winter.
  17. Country you are a legal resident of. In case of those of us staying in Thailand...that is not Thailand...unless you have citizenship or permanent residence.
  18. I guess you're glad you didn't go to the Falklands...
  19. Yes but some rural areas are abysmal when it comes to noise...loudspeakers, locals feeding and keeping 50 unkempt dogs around their property, etc....not everyone lives in an ocean front condo. I live in a quiet moobaan but one a-hole neighbor has to ruin it for all with 3 dogs that snarl and bark all day. Nobody does anything or can do anything.
