Hi,looking for pointers for longstay(6 months+) travel insurance with cover for accidents on a motorcycle at a reasonable price,I do not have a uk m/c licence but a thai one.I found GAP 24/7 £146.30 for a 190 day trip but on reading the small print you need a uk m/c license,which is not simple to get these days.

I found they where cheaper, buying from a hongkong/china seller with free postage included off ebay

Recently retuned to uk via Dubai ,I purchased duty free and paid via a card so didnt end up with aed money as change.Back in uk now, working out how mutch it cost I spot an etra bottle of Grants whiskey added to the bill.Will check next time before paying,hope this helps stop someone else getting ripped off!

Re topbox for scooter I brought a box from a carboot sale in uk but purchased a rack to mount it on for my nouvo from the bike shop on the corner of south pattaya road and soi kowpai they had a selection of boxes there in varying sizes,I seem to remember that they where well priced compared to uk prices.

that whole coast area to the lighthouse could be absolutly stunning if they got rid of all the smelly unsightful speed boats and fuel dumps and turned it into a coastal park, what a dirty hole it is now.

Often thought of the danger, if one of those boats caught fire the lot would go up cos they are parked so close!

Firstly at Climax on WS as you say, then they went to soi 7 or 8, DJ bar I think before going to Utopia.

I`ll have a look for them next time I`m around soi 2 late, near where I live so handy.

They were my favourite band, be good to listen to them again.

any more updates on climax/piets new venue checked out wonderfull bar 1 and 2 no sign of him as soi 2 now demolished I think unlikley he there.even checked out the climax band website not been updated recently

Hi,my vw vento roof lining has seen better days,tried to fix with spray adhesive but didnt last the sponge padding is to dusty for the adhesive to stick to.Any reccomendations where to get replaced? and approx price?. I am pattaya based,many thanks

Hi, I am in uk at the moment but am considering shipping some household stuff with seven seas shipping(a forum sponser, I think) to my home in pattaya,they have given me two prices for 5 tea chest sized cardboard boxes, one door to door, uk/ pattaya £256, 30kg max per box and secondly, uk /bangkok, I have to collect from their warehouse ,max 40kg per box priced at £140.Has anyone used either service and was it ok?I am thinking of going with the cheaper price!

I got the local stainless shop to nock some up for me a 25mm wide flat bar 3mm thick and tig weld wire spikes to it,then drill holes to fix with screws,paid about 2000bht a few years ago for 6 x 3 metre lenghts they all moved to adjacent propertys,alternatly get someone to bring from uk they are listed on ebay as bird spikes

Hi,I am in uk at present ,been looking at ebay prices for a set of alloys for a vw vento,could nail a set for less than £80(4000bht).Thinking about shipping some stuff to los anyway, been quoted around £200(10000bht) for 5 tea chests could maybe fit one in each. anyone got an idea what would be the cost of 4 s/h alloys if I purchased in los?
