  1. Hi,

I would like to buy a dog from Bangkok. Can you please guide me with details of getting a puppy from Thailand to India. What is the procedure? Do we need to quarantine the puppy? How and where in bangkok do I do that? Is there any paper work to be done? Do airlines let us carry puppies on-board?

    Thanks,

    Sachin

    Hi Sachin,

I have 2 Jack Russells at my home in BKK one from Europe one from Thailand. When I took my Thai dog to Europe I had him chipped (always required). had blood taken from him from an official clinic and took it to the govt. building. (don't remember the name... but its in the soi just after The Mall Ngamongwang.) There they will test the blood if the vaccines were successful and some other stuff. After you have the result from the blood test you are allowed to take your dog to the Vet. Section at the airport (ONLY 3 MONTHS AFTER THE TEST RESULT). Do this on the day of the flight or the day before. They will issue you with the necessary export documents. About airlines you have to check. Every airline has different rules and its also up to the captain of your plane.

    Remember those things :

    -Chip

    -Bloodtest 3 MONTHS BEFORE flight

-health certificate at the airport (this document has to be max. 7 days before flight)

Once I was in Europe I had a EU passport issued for my dog (how easy that was :o, which it was that easy for me to get a second Thai passport).

    Hope this helps.

Oh BTW there is a restriction about puppies as well i believe the dog must be at least 6 months old to fly.

  3. I would like to buy an IPhone (i dont care if its unlocked or not.) I think i can find the necessary software online... its just that ... where do you order it?

Except Ebay and such.... dont have much confidence in these sites.

  4. Its is true that currently to get a a non-B visa you need a WP3 Form.

    and to get a WP3 form you need a non-B .

So currently is quite hard to get either (and you need them for your WP).

I had the same problem with my situation. But I am married to a Thai so I just applied for a Non-O while I was visiting home for a week.

The problem is that this government right now is ######ed up.... so you have to wait till they solve this problem.

WP3 is a form that Ministry of Labour should give to the applicants with a Non-B visa

and a Non-B is only given in Thailand (and through my own experience) in Penang (haven't tried other places) if a WP3 is also submitted.

Thats just ministry of labour and immigration having different rules that appearantly work against each other....

Send a mail to Gen. Sonthi see if he cares...

I guess things have changed since I got my original non-imm. B visa several years ago. My recollection is that I went Penang with a letter from my employer expressing their intent to hire me and (I believe) a copy of the employment contract. Once I had a non-imm B visa, my company then applied for a work permit. I suppose there may have been other forms along with the letter and contract when I set off for Penang, but I don't remember them. Either way, I don't recall it being a long drawn out and ridiculous (from what I read here) procedure.

I think you can try untill september...

I have had been in the seem situation before.

I don't think they will bother to cheat on you unless you would do very bad as a teacher...

I am in the business of hiring teachers atm and we are still looking for many... there is what some would call a shortage of 'good' teachers.

as to bad teachers there are plenty.

    Anyway just my opinion.

PS : About this WP and WP3 forms... this is a new rule since 1st of June 2007...

  6. Hi everyone,

I've checked with forum moderators and they told me it was okay to post a 'job offer' because the rules about it are still unclear. This might change in the future so be quick to reply if you want a job :o.

Basically my company acts like an agency for farang teachers in Thailand. We have schools all over Thailand and in Bangkok where we still have open positions.

We are also doing many English Camps (3 day camps) all over Thailand.

If you are a native speaker and interested please check out the website :

If you want to contact me for information or send me your resume [please pm user for details, including possibly his email, but not in public- IJWT]

  7. Hi all,

I have a few questions concerning hiring teachers...

I know this website ajarn.com (who doesn't :S). Are there any other websites visited frequently where I can post teaching jobs?

Because as far as I understand the teaching rules, posting a job in this forum would not be according to the rules.

Please any info about this subject would be more then welcome.

    Thank you
