  1. Diabetes, for starters 😂
  2. That looks very reasonable - thank you for sharing!
  3. I used to do a mix of Cheerios, Shredded Wheat and Swiss Chocolate Cereal ( like 45/45/10% of the chocolate ones, in a bowl). But that stuff is just getting increasingly pricy to the point I'm looking for something that's somewhat healthy too, and doesn't cost me an arm and a leg :)
  4. Yeah pretty much everything I've seen advertised as "kids cereal" is among the worst in terms of how healthy it is. That's why I'm here, asking :)
  5. Thanks for the tip! I found the product on Laz, and also on their homepage. But neither place shows the ingredients.... Is there a label on the back of the packaging?
  6. What do y'all buy? I'm looking for something like Cheerios, but the price of those has kept going up and up and up and it's at like 400THB for a box. It seems highly excessive, considering it's basically just plain grains. Surely there's a local copying them, without adding a ton of unnecessary stuff to them? Any recommendations? Healthy, few ingredients (little sugar is OK, but should indeed by very little), no additives. Thanks!!
  7. They are also charging 65000 for moving less than 10km with a normal household.
  8. That was exactly my thinking - hire a furniture carpenter to do the disassembling / reassembling of some of the more complex furniture, to make sure it gets done right. It just seemed overkill / over the top, somewhat.
  9. Hello I've moved several times now in Thailand and every time it has been expensive but a big hassle. Furniture got broken, left in poor state, things disorganized. I've not once seen professional movers that actually seem to care about your things. What I'm looking for: - properly disassemble large furniture and reassemble (so that closet doors still work and not just dangle about) - reinstall furniture where it's fixed against the walls (e.g. leave things the way they find it, and not just leave it all standing randomly on the floor all over the place) - handle things with care - use proper large truck for transport (I have a house full of furniture to move and every time they arrived with vehicles too small, even after inspecting ahead of time) - load and transport safely, without glass doors shattering and stuff being thrown about (I'm aware local roads suck for this, but should be doable when packed and loaded properly) - relocate entire inventory of a 3br house + office + outdoors (but everything is packed neatly - it's really just moving boxes and large furniture. Everything else is already taken care of) I guess, in a nutshell, I'm looking for a foreign-ran moving company. Who can you recommend? How much have you paid in the past?
  10. Thank you Sheryl and thank you to everyone who contributed! Great discussion in this thread, despite the usual anti-..hmm-mm.. noise. I'll do two things next week: talk to the infectious disease specialist at BKK PTY hospital, and talk to the pediatric doctor at Jomtien hospital (I forgot his name, but super down to earth guy who's been treating both our kids very well all their lives and has been vaccinating them since birth). I'll report back if anyone so desires 🙂 Have a great week ahead everyone! PS: 3yr old has now sudden 38.2 degree fever + headache which is unusual for him. Sigh.
  11. which countries are those? The US has just released some questionable "advise"...
  12. Thank you for the phenomenal response @Sheryl The Bangkok hospital in Pattaya also has Comirnathy from Pfizer, and, as you say, only the adult dose. And they have not been offering (via email) to administer a partial dose. I'll go talk to their infectious disease specialist and see what they say. You've been super helpful, thank you! Have a splendid weekend
  13. Unnecessary? Daughter had it when she was 3 and half, and she went through a horrible ordeal.
  14. According to Pfizer, the vaccines are now available (and according to Bangkok Hospital also recommended) for children above 6 months. But, I can't seem to find a hospital that has them for kids? Does anyone know where to go to get them for 3/6 year olds? Outside of Thailand would even be an option, I guess if there's some silliness going on again. Cheers
  15. Didn't see or hear anything.
  16. We've got one of those gas stoves in the house. Both burners worked perfectly fine. Then the gas ran out. Called the local shop we've used in the past, to change the bottle. Now the stove is behaving extremely weird. I am unable to cook. - I turn on the gas and ignite it, it stays on for a few seconds and then shuts off. - Same thing happens on small and large flame - As long as I push down the button to keep igniting, it stays lit. As soon as I let go, it shuts off. - There is a clicking sound inside the stove somewhere when it turns off. I don't know what that is. There's two of those in the stove, and they both behave the same way now. Both worked flawlessly prior to the gas change. Gas guy of course says his gas is fine. stove.mp4
  17. Does anyone have an up to date list of the exact official requirements for a Non-Immigrant-O Guardian visa (Thai children) for the Jomtien office? Much appreciated!
  18. Hello Does anyone know of a trustworthy car mechanic that doesn't invent random stuff and ends up charging you a fortune over and over again? Greatly appreciate good input here. Fan
  19. That is what I had been doing. And I got fed up with the inconsistency.
  20. I'd prefer my kids food not laden with sugar and preservatives. Freshly cooked food, obviously. Sorry I thought that goes without saying 😀
  21. I've been struggling to find a good, reliable, non-diarrhea inducing place that sells the most of basic local foods good for kids: fried rice, chicken over rice, pork leg with rice, etc. Suitable for kids. Clean. Available on Grab. West side if possible, but anywhere goes I guess. Any good tips?
  22. Went with Lalamove. Expensive, but they took it there same day. Door to door without having to do anything.
  23. Yeah there's probably a few things in there that we wouldn't want to get lost or thrown around. But interesting idea nonetheless!
  24. This looks great, didn't know about that. Thank you!
