  1. For the last 15 years I have produced a letter from the Irish Embassy, stating my income of over 65k per month. The income is paid into my uk account and Immigration passed it without a prob, in the past years. Has this changed please. ? Many Thanks...ps.   read this and does not state that the 65000 has to be deposited in a Thai bank...... -Must be 50 years of age or over(3)Must have evidence of having income of no less than THB 65,000

You must be lucky, you have to transfer at least 65.000 THB each month into a Thaibank Account to get the extension. Attached a Requirement Sheet I've got from Jomtien Immigration 3 days ago.

Option 2 states Embassy letter with proof of 65,000 income. Does not say the income must be deposited in a Thai bank account. Thing is people are telling me it must be paid into a Thai bank monthly. ?

  3. I will be applying for my 15th retirement visa in a few months. I have always gone to my Irish embassy and received a proof of income letter, ( about 2,000 gbp each month ) then produced the letter to Immigration at Jomtiem. I have never had to show Immigration transfer of any funds, just proof the money has gone into my UK bank. Is this still ok or has it changed. ?. . Thanks

  4. Had an independent electrician come over. He climbed up the pole and has insulated my wires at the top of pole. He says this was the problem, we will see. Surely the PEA should take responsibility for Their wiring over the road. Anyway cross fingers. Thanks for all the assistance, especially Reece, who put me onto the sparky.

  5. The problem is up this pole. The very unhelpful people at PEA, just brushed me off. "Your Problem" I have been a costumer 15 years and thought they could at least advise me on how to resolve this. Saw the manager at PEA, eventualy. Gave no advise or help, just said, "You want I pay from my pocket !! Worried now about my future bills. Anyone know where to go for help. Thank you.

Pic shows 3 "Engineers" on the pole oposite my house, where my meter is.

  6. I have been Taking CBD oil for my prostate cancer but ran out of my supply. I purchased the oil in UK but have now ran out. I went to the Origen clinic Pattaya  registered and bought a 5ml btl of 1:1 THC_CBD. Cost for oil 3,000 bht. Thats 3 times what I paid from the "Healing Couldren" UK. Unfortunately I cant go back atm to UK so. Has anyone had success with importing CBD from overseas ie California or UK.

  7. Hi guys, I,m 64 and I have lived in Pattaya for 15 years. Bought a house in 2005 for 1.59 mil bhat, about 22,000 GBP at that time. Formed a company and paid my Annual accountant fee 10.000bht ever since.

After partying for 5 years ish, I met a women that ticked most of the boxes and 10 years latter we are still living happily together in my house. Her daughter age 11 has lived with us all that time and we are a very happy family unit. Go on holidays to UK  ++.

My house/company books are now due for the year but I,m thinking of signing off and putting the house in her name. My accountant says it will cost around 35,000 to do this. Is this correct ? Seems a large fee.

Thanks for any helpful advise guys. Appreciate your time.

  8. My 11 year old daughter, attends Sawang Boriboon Wittaya School, Noen Plubwan. Her teacher came to visit us at our home, here on Ko Noi today. I thought great, I will get to hear how well she is doing, in class. LOL the "Teacher" could not speak a word of English, so my mrs asked how she was doing. The teacher, could not answer !  Said she talks too much, thats all. My daughter, does speak English, but I think that's down to me, and not the schooling.

I pay 15,000 a term, so 30,000 per year. The class has 40 pupils. I have no feedback or communication from the school , so I am thinking of alternatives. I believe the school has an English stream / class. Has anyone got any info on this, the school, or an alternative school in the area ?

Be Very greatful, for any information regarding the school, or an alternative school locally ?

BTW, I am not an offshore worker, I,m retired, living here with a small pension, so the likes of Regent school might be a bit out of my $$$ range

  9. We applies for Visa,s for my partner and her daughter at visa4uk Trendy Building, Bangkok in Dec 2018 and received the passports and visa,s back in Jan 19. I then purchased air tickets from bkk to London. When we got to Suvanipuni in April, Emirates would not let us board.

On the daughters visa, in a small area THEY had put her mom and chaperones, OLD passport number. At the Emirates check in I tried to reason with the Emirates staff, to no avail. Went back to visa4uk Bangkok next day and they, knowing THEIR mistake, eventually, sent us to the UK Embassy in Bangkok, for the new amended visa, that day. We then had to buy NEW emirates air tickets, cost nearly 2grand !.

Now I am trying to find who is accountable. Tying to contact VFS or visa4uk for weeks, they are well below the radar when they mess up. Anyone know a direct contact for VFS global or visa4uk, or a company that might take  this further.

    Many Thanks
