    If you have paid your required NI contributions, you should be entitled to to the annual rises, wherever you reside, if not then all overseas retirees should be treated the same, why in the states and not in Canada , it’s wrong

    I agree, 2 of my very wealthy friends, have left recently, so they can return in December and keep under the 180 day ruling.

    I have spoke to a few, rather wealthy friends who plan on doing the 179 day, these people spend a fortune in Thailand, there must be plenty of others considering doing the same, including myself.

    Can you get up to 3 years jail and/or a 60,000 baht fine for letting off fireworks anywhere any day without a licence to do so? The last New Year’s Eve the whole neighbourhood was letting them off, all Thais though, so I suppose that don’t count.
