  1. ...I just read bad news... according to jungle experience parties, all parties will officially restart again on December 4th. I was sincerely hoping the ban would last as it only attracts trash, however, it appears it will all return to same same as it ever was... shame. I guess it was simply more hot air from the governor and police chief who needs more money to maintain his Mercedes, Harley, and perhaps buy himself bigger and better tacky gold chains...

  2. ...have you seen the advertisements for the 15 day party on the beach around NYE yet? very bold of the dj's Benoit C, David Chong, et al seeing that ALL parties except the dangerous and disgusting FMP are supposed to stop? they're advertising psychedelic situations that will last all night and finish at 10am in the morning. the ads have already attracted 1000's of scumbags to state that they will be attending! I also don't understand why the dj's advertise publicly when they do not have work permits? and, NO, they are not volunteering but there is no need for admins to delete my post as the dj's I mentioned do not use their legal names.

  3. in regards to "swimming" causing blindness: I'm assuming that it should read "diving" instead. I'm not a diver but, it is feasible that diving could increase his inter cranial pressure and/or his intraocular pressure, or pressure on his optic nerve which could lead to vision loss if he had some kind of underlying condition or prior trauma to his eye.

I did see some photos of his body and I am now far more certain than I was in a prior post that he was NOT in the water for ten days. absolutely not!

I offer my condolences to his family and friends and I sincerely hope that none of them have ever seen or heard about TVF or CSI LA.

  4. Ulit, "mischief"? really?!?! maybe it would serve you to learn a bit more about these dreadful people. referring to all their disgusting actions and crimes and exploitation and mutilation of humans in desperate situations for their own financial benefit is clinically sociopathic actions on their part! the fact that you refer to it as mere "mischief" not only says everything about who you are as a person, but it also offends decent people reading your callous drivel and it makes me greatly dislike you, whomever the F you are. and icare999, this is absolutely NOT why most of the world hates Americans! pull your head out! the behavior of these two is actual clinical psychological disorders and certainly not something that Americans commonly engage in! there's many, many legitimate reasons that most of the world hates Americans, but THIS ain't one of them!

  5. well... depending on the current, it's plausible that a body could drift even further... currents do interesting things in the gulf, but I find it more interesting that the body exactly followed the lompraya high speed ferry boat route; which is not based on seasonal currents... perhaps I should not have expressed my opinion as I don't have all required facts, but... I am certain that there is something wrong with this story! for whatever that is worth, which is nothing I suppose. depending on how he drowned, if that is what happened, and how much water he took into his lungs and stomach; he would have sunk for 24 to 72 hours before the decomposing of his body produced enough gases for him to rise to the surface and travel with the top layer of currents. however, if his body had somehow been punctured this would dramatically change things as the gases would have an exit portal from his system and would not build up in the same manner. but after ten days in an unseasonably warm ocean his skin and underlying tissue would simply "melt off" with any kind of contact. if, for instance, a net were used to retrieve his body most of the tissue would be lost as it would ooze through the net. I'm not someone who believes in conspiracy theories and the fact that he was last seen on koh tao is not what causes me question. although it actually does make it appear suspicious by default! if someone had accurate current charts for the past ten days then I could certainly give a far more educated guess or nullify the stated story. it was written that his tattoos were intact and easily identifiable and I do not believe that if he were really in a warm ocean for ten days. it also stated that his friend would view the body to identify him but he would not be identifiable after ten days. it doesn't take sharks to eat a body. small fish do more deconstruction. the face and the belly are the softest parts and would have been rapidly consumed and he, therefore, would not have a face or ears remaining to identify... it was also stated that police said his body appeared to have been in the water for ten days and I believe that if it were there would not be intact tattoos and a face to identify. obviously, I don't possess all the required facts to back up my opinion, but... there is something very wrong with this story!

  6. these guys are truly sick. exploiting desperate human beings and paying them a mere $200 to get a giant tattoo on their forehead, convincing them to fight, stealing human body parts: vile and disgusting! American prisons are rather close to being country clubs. I pray that Buddha slams them with karma and they end up in Thai prison being used as Muay Thai dummies for the Thais to practice on! despicable!

"It all started when the two men were drinking"

No Thai could possibly commit such a crime.

Isn't the statement "No Thai could possibly commit such a crime." getting a bit stale, passe and worn out.

Its the best he can do, ah bless

If ever there was a "quote of the year" award then IMHO it's a gold medal winner. Reason why....it encapsulates in a few words what is VERY wrong with Thai mentality when it comes to accepting responsibilty. Always will be a permanent state of denial.

it is absolutely NOT stale, passé and worn out! what the heck is wrong with you people?!?! obviously you don't have any Burmese friends! you remember Hitler, right? some of you may have actually been there...? due to the international attention surrounding the koh tao murders it's possible that police won't use a Burmese the next time they need a scapegoat. what makes you SO certain that the next group they choose to use as scapegoats won't be fat, white, beer drinking men?!?! after all, at least the Burmese serve a good purpose in Thailand! that statement should NEVER be forgotten! our benevolent dictator told the press not to post photos or reports about people (Thaksin) wanted for prosecution but there were zero qualms posting photos and re-enactments of alleged murderers who STILL have NOT been charged! pull your heads out of your beer glasses!

  8. ...I've lived on this island year round for 15 years and as the island grows and more money comes in, the only thing that has changed is that corruption and police/mafia corruption has increased substantially! this relatively new and current police chief (phangan, tao) was brought in because the last chiefs pockets were too full of money. the new chief has a beautiful Mercedes, solid gold watch, Harley, and more. I was at the meeting where it was decided to stop the all night parties as they were illegal. they stopped for one week! my friends who run businesses down here are still paying the police "for protection" and the healing centers down here still pay off the immigration police to allow illegal farang workers on tourist visas to teach yoga and sell their snake oil workshops. EVERYONE here knows this! it is done in the open in broad daylight and it is only getting worse and worse! it's an absolute joke!

  9. ...they don't need to remember! there is NO martial law on these three islands (koh Tao, koh phangan, koh samui) down here! NOTHING has changed. it's same same as it ever was, illegal parties until dawn, oodles of illegally working farang, police/mafia operating as usual, etc etc etc. tourism on these islands has not changed. nothing has changed. it's a joke that martial law is even being discussed! everyone knows who runs these islands and everyone knows it's NOT the military...

  10. this is a complete joke! what martial law!?!? on koh phangan all of the "illegal" parties continue until dawn, all the farang are still working illegally whilst on tourist or ED visas, all the farang dj's are still selling loads of drugs at the parties, illegal migrant workers are still employed everywhere, etc etc etc! there is no martial law on this island, only the same same mafia/police operating business as usual. why are they even discussing martial law???

  11. thanks ubonjoe!
I appreciate you taking the time to answer me! I feel much better reading your reply. you, and several others, have been extremely helpful to so many people trying to sort out fact from fiction and scaremongering at this time of change-with rumors galore-in the lovely Kingdom of Thailand! thanks for all your time, patience, and all the help you've given to many people here!

  12. thanks ukrules! I appreciate your feedback, as well as the reply from dear Paz! it was my original intention to return to Thailand PRIOR to August 12th but flights were difficult and I suddenly found myself booking out on 19th and back in on 21st... then panic struck! "eeeek! what have I done? should I try changing flights and reservations, or is it unnecessary?!? eeeek!" so, I thought Obiwan-I mean UbonJoe-was my only hope for a definitive answer!

  13. thanks ukrules! I appreciate your reply very much! I've been residing in Thailand year round for over 14 years now. I, too, recently heard about the elite card but I'm uncertain if I actually wish to remain in Thailand another five years at this moment. when I decide, I'll go for it! hassle free pleases me! ..in the meantime, I'm still unclear regarding if it would be best to change my flight so I return to Thailand prior to August 12th versus August 21st??? (and now to add to the confusion is another unconfirmed D day of "I dunno what?" on August 25th...!) my head hurts...
