Hello, I completely forgot to go and extend my visa exemption stamp which ended on March 28.
Since the immigration offices are closed on weekends, I could only go there on Monday (I stay in Phuket)
Do you know if it will be possible for me to get an extra 30 days by paying an overstay fine, or will I have a problem?Thank you very much

Hello guys ????
Have any of you applied for a covid extension at Phuket immigration? Do you know what documents are needed?
Thank you very much !

Hello everyone,????
I have a question about the price of an ED visa, I apologize if the question has already been asked.
I arrived in Thailand a short time ago (visa exemption) and I contacted a school that offered me a one-year ED visa for 32.000 baht (20.000 for the courses and 12.000 for immigration to change my visa).
What I don't understand is why I have to pay 12,000 to change my visa when I don't have a visa yet? Is this school trying to take too much money from me or is it normal to pay this when you get a new visa (without having one before)?Second question: Will there be any difference or problem if I get a 60 day covid extension between my visa exemption and this ED visa?
Thank you in advance to anyone who takes the time to help me!????

You would not get 7 days. You would not be allowed to leave the country at most border crossings.
You can only get 7 days to leave the country by paying 1900 baht for a extension and having it denied at a immigration office.
I did not really understand the meaning of these 2 sentences. I could not leave Myanmar if i would do like this ? And if i get 7 days, how many times in a row would it be possible to do it ?
But finally, I will go to Laos to return by plane a few days later. What will happen if the immigration officer refuses to give me 30 days at the airport (I've got 2 in a row during the last 4 months)?Thank you for your help

Thank you for the reply UbonJoe ????
If this would be a fake new, what would happen to me if i try to do that way ? Only get 7 days right ?
How many times in a row it would be possible to do that for me in your opinion?

Hello ????
I've seen that from 15th November to January, there will be unlimited visa exempt entries at land borders per calendar year.
I ve'got two already in March and May, then two in Don muang airport.
Can you confirm that if I make a round trip from Phuket to Ranong I will have a new visa exempt 30days ?
Thank you very much !

I suggest you print out the confirmed e-ticket for your flight out. They prefer that to having to look at one on a phone.
Ok thank you very much for your replies guys ?

Thanks guys for the answers.
Sorry for the noob questions but if i book a ticket online and show them is it enough ? Or do i need a printed ticket ?

Really ?? Unlimited ?? They almost refused it to me 2 years ago when i was back from KL..
You know i have many tourist visa in my passport, the last with a red stamp !

Hello !
I don't know if this is the right place to ask my questions but here we go.. ?
Since March 2018, I already had 3 visa exemption (2 from Ranong immigration in Mars and May 2018 and another one from BKK in July) so i know it will be impossible to get another one until March 2019.
The thing is will get a work permit in 1 or 2 months, i am currently in Lao but i am tired of this place, do you think it is possible to do visa run (Phuket-Ranong) every weeks until i get my work permit ? I mean, how many 7-days stamp is it possible to get in a row ?
I have a french passport and i stay in Phuket btw.
Thank you !

So yes in any case, i don't have to give my old passport to the french consulate..
BritTim i agree with you i think i will go to Lao for the next visa. But i get my new passport and keep the old one, should i go to the Phuket immigration for link them or just fly to Lao and present both passports to the immigration in airport ?
And thanks to all who answered already :)

Hi everybody ! :)
I have to go get my new passport at the french consulate in Phuket as my old one is full. But i have to give them the old one in order to cancel it but what about my tourist visa (who finish soon)? Is there a procedure that I have to do to ?
Also, I had a red stamp on my third and last visa application in Penang two months ago. What if i go there for another tourist visa the new passport ?
Thanks a lot..!

Thanks for the answers guys
I was wondering if it was better to renew my passport in another country because if I do it in Thailand on my next visa run they will see that my passport has been delivered to me in Thailand. I'm afraid it's attracting too much attention.
So if i renew my passport in Cambodia, there will be an exit stamp from Cambodia and entry to Thailand. It's more discreet I think.
But I do not really know ... I feel that it is a little risky to renew it in Thailand.
Do you think this is really useful to do in Cambodia (or Laos)?edit: i m french citizen btw

Hi everybody :)
I just come back from Penang, Malaysia where i ve got my 3rd tourist visa.
They stamped the visa in red to tell me it will be the last. but my passport is almost full anyway so i have to get a new one.
But then what about the history of my visas ? It will be possible for me to get another visas in Penang or in another country ?
I also wonder if it would be better to renew my passport in BKK or in embassy in Cambodia or Lao...
Any help is welcome
Thanks

Hello
I come back to you through this topic because I, once again, need advice. My visa exempt stamp will runs out the 4th december 2015.I had decided to do a ED visa one more year, but i went to the school today, and they told me that the rules had changed (again..).Instead of pay 25,000 for 1 year visa, i have to pay 15,000 every 6 months.I have to give my answer to them friday. But I think i'm more interested by a tourist visa.Reading the forums it seems that it is only possible to get a single entry. OKLiving in Phuket, do you know the price that it would cost me for a year ? Because I am not an expert on visa run !!!I think i had paid between 3.500/4.000 baht last year to go to Penang for my visa...So something around (4.000x4)+(1.900x4) ?Thanks a lot !!! -
Thanks a lot for your answers !
I didn't know that I could have a visa exemp just by leaving Thailand only twenty day, so this is a good new !

I just had to pay a 3000 baht fine, in addition to the 1900 baht for the 30-day extension.
Besides, I thought there was a limit of 2500 baht for this type of fine, but I was just too happy that the immigration officer didn't seem bothered by my request to discuss it ????
