Thanks everybody for take time for reply me. @BritTim this means even if i enter on 2 months tourist visa with return ticket and 20.000 THB in cash i still need copy of my bank statements? it doesnt show salary , it only shows deposit (because i am depositing money that i make on my regular account) and i have money on savings account. Before when i went to make ED visa to Laos my Thai ex gf was with me and they didnt complicate at all. I m working online (nothing illegal) before i was doing this for 1 year in Thailand i had steady income , but the problem was that i took everything too easy about Thai law, i had problems with ex gf so i became depressed and start drinking too much i didnt care about school anymore, before i was regular and good student. And this was my first trip to Thailand i learned many things and now i will definetely not repeat same mistakes.

Hello everybody i have some questions regarding my overstay. I overstayed for 5 months ED visa, i surrendered by myself at the airport, i had already booked my ticket back to Europe, i payed fine of 20.000 THB at immigration office and ofcourse i got red stamp with number 1 inside which i think means 1 year ban from entering Thailand At immigration office they didnt complicate much as there was one guy complaining too much so they wanted to finish with me fast as possible i payed the fee and show them my outward ticket sign some papers and i was free to go. This happened in July last year and it was my forst overstay. While i was in Thailand i didnt had any conflicts with who, i was never imprisoned neither stopped by police. Now i have some questions and i would be thankful if somebody could answer. 

Since i am 30 years old i cannot get retirement visa, so my option is ED Visa but i am planning entering to Thailand with 2 month visa after that i will make ED Visa, before that i had 6 months visa and all 3 extensions including 90 day report. I passed all the tests about Thai language at Ministry of Education. 

My ban started from 13th July. My question is, can i enter Thailand on 15th July or this ban means until of December 2017?

Will i have problems to make ED Visa again?

Is it possible that i am banned for more than one year even if in passport is stated banned for 1 year?

I know my mistakes and i learned from that mistake of overstaying. I m not asking for blessings i am just trying to find some answers.

I cant believe this, this will destroy tourism in Thailand. I think USA cabinet knew what is coming that why all this warnings but nobody listened. It will get only worse. Safe areas a.k.a Ghettos same in WW II for Jews and gipsies, and as somebody mentioned it is best we get bar code and around arm BIG T. Every day passes i see more and more influence of Army state, may R.I.P. victims that were killed in Koh tao but this is only excuse for repress tourists more and more. I am thinking when somebody from Thailand come to Europe, Australia or USA we should give a big V as visitor and bar code so he dont get lost. This is pure represion and racism. And after 10 years maybe they should give us only bus with big windows bulletproof and put us in same in Jurrasic park to drive us route Pattaya or Krabi to "safe" zone or making some routes.

Well this question depends from various factors. For family and society is definetely better Europe and USA. For lonely man deserved their pension want enjoy rest of their life Thailand is better. But for young man want career, want house, want good car, want something out of life Thailand is definetely not place to be. First of all what are your chances to get a job which is necessary for living, second in Thailand they are no social money from country, health insurance, etc...many factors

i read this situation i understand this man wants stay in Thailand and not return to Sweden. Somebody already said that Austrian expat paid him ticket home but he still returned again to Thailand and he knew that he cannot survive in Thailand. Even if somebody oay him again ticket to Sweden i am sure he will return again. Yes weather is beautiful in Thailand, everybody would stay with no work enjoy their life but it doesnt go that way. I understand somebody is depressed but he should find medical help for himself back in Sweden. Many people want stay in Thailand with no plan for future, no income, have some money leave work in their homecountry go to Thailand spend money with gf, i mean no offense but when somebody expect he is 60 year old and think that 20 year old girl will love him its clearly stupid. Everybody can try in his own country i barely see old man with young lady in Europe and when i see i aee him have good car good clothes so reason is money. Myself many tine miss Thailand miss my gf miss weather but i know i must work and save buy condo for yourself for future make a plan.

I know for one case for sure it was not accident, i will not reveal where or who was involved but it was not accident it was obvious. the money from house dissapeard not much but enough for give clue it was robbery and murder. Thai police arrived on scene make photo and claim it was an accident. they didnt want to bother or research why that happen. Case closed same day. So all i can say be careful all who are staying in Thailand. Because when somrthing happens nobody will care, especially for cases where is drug involved.

It is hard to say if it was suicide or not. But one thing is for sure, Royal Thai Police is or uneducated or lazy to look for clues and solve murder or suicide. Not only for foreigners but also for Thai people too. They come take photos take statement from witnesses and make conclusion based on some witnesses and they dont check their records from past too quickly because they dont care.

I read most of the posts here, i think people (many of them) are not aware it is different culture before they arrive in Thailand. Most of them didnt visit before and look pictures and videos, speak with cute Thai lady and decide to go to Thailand marry there and stay long time. Fact is you cannot change culture since you are visitor and not somebody who is allowed to change something. If Sin sod is part of Thai culture ( and i dont see nothing bad in Sin sod because it is different everything from western countries, somebody must take care for family after marriage it is simple thing) i have nothing against it. I see many people say i will not pay this i will not pay that, no trust family no trust wife, i mean why you want marry with that lady in first place? And many say i want pay 30 baht for marriage 500 baht for suit and thats it. come on do you pay in western country for marriage 50 euros LOL last marriage i went for my friend it costed 20.000 euro ONLY marriage and it is not considered as expensiva marriage, many farang come and say i dont want pay "dowry" i see that big disrespect for Thai culture, would you like somebody come to your country and want change culture, something that is happening for hundred of years i think you wouldnt like. Many people want have beautiful Thai lady but not think that Thais are connected with family and culture too much. Many of them come barely to survive and want to stay there because life is cheap, girls are cheap. Funny people really. I have Thai girlfriend and her parents passed away but when we marry it should be still about that she say we will have money together from that, i will give to her it doesnt matter, i not want marry in some shithole pay 30 baht and thats it. Many of you want marry because of visa, and cheap life, but dont want accept culture. I really dont understand most of people here who post all that.
