Yes the problems with the Rice farmers is the price of rice isnt worth anything now.
because Taksin has ruined it for everyone and the country is in massive debt.
He really doesnt care about anything apart from votes (buying) -
I spent 4 weeks of constant meditation in Doe suthep about 10 years ago.
It was mind blowing! I cannot describe how amazing i felt afterwards and how clearly i could see life for what it really was.
What i suggest is - Absolutely do it.
Even if its not for the rest of your life, Just a few months will give you such an amazing insight and you dont have to put all your eggs in one basket.
But if you do commit - take it seriously and do the work and meditation, preferably on a constant level all day and every day.
The Thai monks are pretty lame and only study about 1 hour a day, dont get caught up with the wrong crowd.
Take it serious and you will appreciate your efforts.- 2

The problem is not that nations are not Tolerant - The problem is that Tolerance is being exploited by Extremist ideals in an act move in and take over.
Just look at Thailands South and how they take advantage of Thai Tolerance everyday, killing monks, innocent children, all because Thailand gave them an inch and now they want to take the mile.- 5

Perhaps the Thais need a history lesson. Buddha wasnt thai he was indian - and im sure didnt give a flying <deleted> about Yoga, infact he practiced it himself.
Much better than buying lottery tickets or going to the temple to get a lucky number from a monk. just so they can benefit themselves. -
Well it will at least do some good...

An indian couple are literally hanging out of the window in each others arms. -
Chinese pushing in front of Thais,i thought Thais
were champions at that,I remember bank queues
before they started to use ropes and Q numbers,
it was like a rugby scrum with lots more players.
Regards worgeordie
you have obviously never been to china and are just looking to do some thai bashing.
queue behaviour in thailand, even at its very worst, has always been light years better than what you see every single day in china.
if you dont know. dont post.
He never made any comment about the Chinese other than quoting the OP. He was expressing surprise based on his experience of Thai queuing.
If you can't read maybe you shouldn't post.
I would say that in general I've not seen any great problem with Thai queuing.
what have you been smoking?
try getting a bus in bangkok - The good old chinese pushing still exists here in thailand, doesnt matter how old you are its everyone for themselves when a bus pulls up.

It makes me quite sad sometimes
over Xmas i by chance came upon a huge swimming complex in Isaan that some Norweigan guy invested all his money in for his Thai wife and her entire family. The poor guy didnt look in good shape.
But what struck me most was how the, extended family were treating him.
They were strutting around as if it was theirs and not his anymore, they were showing off and burning what little money he had left.
I can understand he wanted to build something for the children in that area to enjoy and also gain his position of respect in his Thai family.
The only thing he achieved was making children happy - His Thai family were just hoping he would die quickly so they can find a new sponsor. -
I dont understand why aircraft Black boxes dont have GPS enabled and a backup battery that can keep it working for a few weeks afterwards.
Surely in this day and age?- 1

2 wrongs dont make a right!
Killing is wrong period... -
I would love to see more undercover footage of all these scams in Thailand, then watch them go viral. Its the only way any Karaoke bar will get shut down. Just saying they got scammed is not enough.
Big trouble in Thailand - you remember that show?
Thailand tried to ban it then tried to sue the BBC for defamation lol.We need more of these shows.

I was supposed to spend Xmas in Phuket - But i twisted my ankle the night before and couldn't walk so called it off. One accident i'm grateful for!
I will never forget the missing persons photos of children in Khaosarn road - there were thousands...
And spending new years eve in Bangkok with those survivors limping around with stories that were so sad,
I remember one guy saying he brought his GF on holiday to Thailand, but he doesnt think he will see her again, he didnt even know.
Good News: Parts of Thai-Cambo border back open for some Out/In stamps

will take a while for the rumour that they are open again to circulate, as predicted far too much money to be lost compared to some lost face,
