Hi, I am a British national who has a Thai daughter. Because of some particular circumstances this year I would like to apply for my Non-O Guardian Visa (supporting my Thai daughter) at the earliest possible opportunity. I have asked one Thai person to check for me and they said that the earliest that I can submit my 12 months extension application is 45 days before the expiry of the current one. Can anyone verify this based on personal experience? Thanks.

Hi, Driving from Bangkok to Krabi with the family in a couple of weeks to spend 3 nights on Phi Phi Island. I would be really grateful for recommendations of where to safely park my car within walking distance (with luggage) of Noparat Thara Pier where we're getting the ferry. Thanks.

Hi, I have already searched online (Google) and keep getting conflicting information. Does anyone have any recent experience of applying for a Tourist Visa using the Thai Consulate in London as a British national using their online application service with particular regard to the following: 1) Processing time once application has been submitted? 2) Is the 200,000 Baht or equivalent shown on a bank statement currently enforced? 3) Anything else that I should be aware of given that the requirements/enforcement can chop and change? Thanks.

Computer/IT Technician - At Home Service

Hi, Just arrived back home. Are you available now? -
Hi, Can anyone recommend an IT technician that provides an on-site service. I have a HP Ink Tank Wireless 415 printer. Worked fine on my Dell computer and my partner's Dell computer. Then we moved condo. Can print from my partner's Dell computer (6 year old computer) but won't from my much newer Dell computer. I have spent hours watching YouTube videos on how to fix this specific issue but to no avail. I don't want to waste any more of my time trying to fix it as I have other important things to do. Any recommendation on someone to come to my condo in Phromphong to fix greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Re-entry Permit At Airport

Hi, Is it still possible to apply for a re-entry permit at Suvarnabhumi airport? Thanks. -
Hi, I am a 55 year old Brit that has brought up my Thai daughter alone since she was 1 years old. She is now 16 almost 17. She lives with me. I have never been married. I have a court order confirming me as being her father from a Thai Family Court. I am due to do my 12 month extension again shortly. Normally as part of the long list of documentation I have to submit I have to take photos of her and me inside and outside of the school and also a letter from the school confirming that she is a student. She quit school 4 months ago and currently isn't working. Will this affect my application for a 12 months extension on my Non-O Guardian Visa and do I need any additional documentation now that she has quit school? Thanks. PS - For numerous reasons I am not interested in getting a retirement visa.

I am a very experienced British Engineer that has been based in Thailand for 24 years. I have assisted international companies to set up manufacturing facilities in Thailand in Automotive, Aerospace, Electronic and other industries. I design world class factory layouts, project manage machine installation, design and outsource ancillary manufacturing equipment and have in depth experience of lean manufacturing techniques. Additionally I can speak Thai to a reasonable level. I am now looking for my next project. I work on an hourly/contract basis. Please PM me if you know of anyone who needs assistance in these areas.

Hi, I have a Honda Civic 2012. I've got tired of the sloppy workmanship and expensive prices of a certain Honda Dealership in Bangkok. Can anyone recommend an independent Honda repair shop in Bangkok, ideally not excessively far from the Phrom Phong area. It's an airbag wiring issue that should be simple enough to fix. Thanks.

How To Clean Connectors Inside Laptop
Siamesepiggster replied to Siamesepiggster's topic in IT and Computers
Thanks Robin. Do you mean the crimped wire inside the white plastic male and female connector? -
Hi, I've discovered that the reason the speakers on my 7 year old Dell XPS have stopped working is due to a "dry connection" in the small plastic male and female connector inside my notebook. When I removed the notebook base and booted the computer the speakers worked again when I manipulated the small plastic male ad female connector which connect the two internal speaker wires to the PCB. However when I put the put the notebook base back on they didn't work again. Does anyone have any tips on how to clean the really tiny copper terminals inside the small plastic connectors and especially if you know of any aerosol solvent spray that's available in Thailand specifically for cleaning copper contacts/terminals. Thanks.

Hi, I am a British national and I have a Non O Guardian Visa based on supporting my Thai daughter who is 15. My experience at CW is that they are always increasing/changing the list of documents required for obtaining a 12 month extension. I am due to go there this week. Does anyone have the latest list of documents required based on a recent visit? Thanks.

Thanks for all the great advice and recommendations. As it's a notebook I use it a lot on the move so unfortunately adding external speakers is not really a practical option. Sounds like it can't be fixed for a reasonable price but I'll try Nick at Pro Corner as a last ditched attempt before forking out for a new notebook. Thanks.

Thanks for all your help. Thanks Robblok, I moved the relevant files back from Onedrive to my PC (I hadn't realised that I had moved Outlook files) and it's now working again. Thanks. Just one other question...... The Outlook that's now working again is the desktop version which is included in my Office 365 package where I have my own domain name etc. My web version of outlook on my notebook (I have a @hotmal.co.uk e-mail address) developed an issue a few weeks ago. Any new e-mails that I receive instantly disappear. They don't go into my deleted or spam folders, they just completely disappear. However I can view them in the inbox on my outlook application on my android phone? Any ideas as to how to fix? Thanks.
