  1. Named and shamed in the article ???? An 8 day overstay makes me wonder why he could not do a border bounce, now that everything is open
  2. Interesting that `Thai Ridgeback` is among the banned breeds - wonder how that came about ????
  3. By all means push all the federal foreign reserves into propping the baht, and then watch the system collapse
  4. If there's some numbers that don't make any sense in context of TiT - this "report" is the TaT for the TiT ????
  5. The slower ones are probably not paying via QR code, but acquiring points with them QR codes, such as the 50/50 schemes and whatnot, which is a more involved process and can apply to only certain products purchased etc - I usually have a stack of cash, but prefer to pay via QR code paying for gas on most (if not any) gas stations, via my banking app, or restaurants or Makro or Big C supercenters - tho with Big C I'll usually ring up my card, as it seems faster to get the receipt than via phone and scan this scan that. I also pay my electricity from PEA, and 3BB internet, over generated QR codes at the same time I pay my rent, instead of hauling my ass to nearest 7/11, pay all my dues at same time (well except the water bill that comes handwritten to my mailbox). And now that recapping, I paid my last car service via PromptPay QR code as well, in seconds, instead of hunting the nearest ATM as the bill was a bit larger I envisioned.
  6. Source: the article... The article also had a few pics of some mining rigs, but I'd doubt did not get even close to "start up investment" worth - suppose the alleged swindlers realized they could get a tonne of money ponzi'ing instead of actually investing in the infrastructure (buying the rigs, handling electricity bills etc), and now like Red Bull heir are in the wind with the rest of the dosh.
  7. @Khunjeff was confused, so to break it a bit down: does Khun jeff want to fly to for example Malaysia for 40 USD or 50 USD per one way trip? As per longer holiday trips (~1000+ USD) the 10 USD extra might be peanuts, but constant travelling with an added 20% "arrival tax" per ticket seems stupid, and doesn't really give anything to anyone except military for spending on submarines without german engines that would rock the shallow waters... Well, such is life, wonder what the great next tax without any substance might be.
  8. Footgun implementation again, as there's already the 700thb exit tax inside the plane tickets, another 300 (~10USD) for a roundtrip ticket around ASEAN countries does not bode well.
  9. Depending on the size of the drain (measure it with a regular ruler) I used these silicon smell stoppers from lazada, that let the water flow thru but stops the gases "upstream" - couldn't find any from local vendors so ordered online: https://www.lazada.co.th/products/i347736102-s680350533.html?urlFlag=true&mp=1&spm=spm%3Da2o4m.order_details.item_title.1 Edit: I live in a 2 story building and the downstairs bathroom smelled of rotten decomposing animals - put one of these to the floor drain and the problem was semi-fixed - next just had to relocate a tokay gekko using the bathroom as a bathroom daily pooping all over the place x)
  10. (source: https://www.xe.com/currencycharts/?from=EUR&to=THB&view=10Y ) Depreciating my balls mainly
  11. Incorrect, I'm talking about the actual decriminalization bill vote, that was held Wednesday 8th of June - not the initial passed vote 120 days before with much more vague wordings, but the actual first reading in the lower house, that will now then be enacted into laws after N more readings. https://www.thaipbsworld.com/thailands-cannabis-and-hemp-bill-sails-through-1st-reading-in-lower-house/
  12. It's a bill that passed house to be enacted into laws, it passed with flying colors (as any other bill in rubberstamp-land does) 373 MPs voted in support of the bill, with 7 against. 23 MPs abstained.
  13. @Sparktrader From the original post: They were not using Official Banking Apps, but 2 "banking apps" that were basically malware...
  14. The article quoted he had to install 2 apps, that thru them accessed the 2 different bank accounts - so without analysing the apps and how they work, it's kind of moot to argue - possibly they were only native "web windowing" apps to either a fake site (ie. a man in the middle attack) or just stealing user input and passing thru to genuine site - point is, they gained access to the users accounts and swiped them both clean using 2 different apps, 1 for each bank, so supposedly the gang knew which is the most lucrative way to exploit users credentials. RE: not from apps, well yes you can - depending on the bank yes you can - I can for example on my SCB app manage the limits
  15. With the users login details you can also remove those limits - all the same account control as you have yourself in the banking app.
  16. Keylogger in the "app" they provided to access the account -> he types the details in -> app backend receives them -> gang logs in and drains accounts.
  17. I suppose this Matchanu superstructure wouldn't be too far off from the chinese delivery - there's a lot of room around Samut Prakan for more of them RTN trophies
