  I don't know if Nom's son was on the island. Genuinely. But I've spoken to a journalist today to give all the information I have to them. Including the fact that Burmese guys were always expected to be blamed. It's not much. I think you expect I know more than I do, but it's everything I have. Also, information has came forward about the guy who "fell" to his death on Tao last year, so I expect the newspapers in the UK won't let this rest. I hope it's enough to save the 2 guys from Myanmar. I can't do any more.

  @thailand-people: I had that wound from the 9th. There are plenty of people who seen me with the cut every day in restaurants, bars and dive shops. When I left the message on his facebook a few days after (When Dave's name was released), I only meant that I knew the type of person he was. He was a great guy who would stand against wrong in any situation.

  @hardy-hemmingway: I think he knew who it was and needed a scapegoat. It would have been enough for me to "hag myself" in order for them to point the finger at me. My sister directed me to a Thai forum from a week before this all happened which I didn't know about at the time. It said I would be framed and so would the guy living in the cave in Samui. So somebody knew about this before I did.

I said that if I died that night it was the guy from in touch who "did it". anybody with half a brain knows it would always be blamed on Burmese. There are a lot of CCTV pictures of these two people, they are sitting at the same table in one bar, but never sitting together.

All the street shots, they are in different groups, not together.

People intending to have sex, usually are together for a while first.

I would have expected to see CCTV of them walking together, holding hands, standing close, but nothing like that happens.

I just don't think a 21 year old could carry out such a brutal attack. I dont believe for a second Hannah and David were doing anything. His dna was not found on her. CCTV photo is not a 'guy'... get the perspective, angle, size of legs vs. arms, strength and posture. That is a child running. LOOK at height of child, in comparison to angle view and height of door handle...... pretty sure that's a stitched up kid...... running for life.

I do hope the RTP at least get an invitation over to Ireland to interview him, and will get the opportunity to extradite him on release, but I suspect there will be no extradition if there is any possibility that he could be executed for his crimes, though this sort of animal should be cadged for the rest of his natural life.

Pity they describe the Thai lady as a prostitute, wonder if they can substantiate such a claim, it could be defamation.

Police have not arrested any suspect but closed the case Wednesday. DNA from hair in Witheridge's hand linked a British man to the case, and police are certain he's the only suspect, the Telegraph reported. this is from Wednesday the 17th - what happened to the hair then?.

Can somebody explain this to me please? The girl and guy are sat in a group just hours before the rape and murder. The group look sober and generally a nice group. The victims are wearing decent clothes, the girl a pink top and what looks like shorts and the lad a tee-shirt.. So... Where did the idiot General's remark about foreigners come to Thailand and think they are safe and only ugly girls are safe wearing bikinis? He made a lot out of this "wearing bikinis" thing and yet, the girl is not wearing a bikini and is modestly dressed. What the hell was the PM talking about? Just curious.
