I Watched that video a few times and zoomed in, to me it looks like a girl with hair just past the shoulders was walking in front of him.

In the above ^^ interview a phone is being held up, Do we know whos phone this is or am i totally wrong by assuming this could be seans phone? We already know from seans interview that he said he used the shopkeepers phone. Just a thought?

I keep seeing posts saying the guy in the CCTV has been 'confirmed as Mon' - has this actually been confirmed on anywhere other than on the TV rumour mill?

From the way he moves, his physique and his Asian pop star hair style, he looks in his early-mid twenties, and too fair skinned to be this Mon chap.

IF (and I mean IF, the realms of fantasy and reality have become blurred to put it lightly) it's true that DM's pale shorts were missing and this guy is caught rushing around nothing but a pair of oversized pale shorts around the time and location of the murder, this guy is the key.

Everything should focus on him.

I don't believe for second there is a collective conspiracy by islanders, but I don't believe for a millisecond that there is not a single soul recognises this guy, no way. We can easily recognise people we know from a long distance away by their body shape and movements, and this footage is pretty close up.

There's been a ridiculous amount of fantasist speculation here and I'm hesitant to add to it.

But let's add it up - a frenzied horrific double rape/murder, metres away from hotels, a police station and a bar, on a 'locked down' tiny Island, with more evidence the police could wish for - DNA, the murder weapon, the killers' clothes, CCTV footage....

This can't just be police incompetence.

If warot gave DNA why are they having a media conference holding up cctv images instead of saying "i gave DNA and it dosnt match"!

Can someone please help to clarify this:

Now Warot's lawyers have produced time-stamped cctv images to show that he was staying in his Bangkok apartment at the time of the murders. (See unmentionable newspaper website).

So his father, when interviewed, said his son had left the island on the morning of the murder and now the son is producing evidence that he was already in Bangkok at the time of the murder. Seems their stories conflict. Granted, the father may not live with his son and therefore not be aware of all his comings and goings - but he did say that his son returned to Bkk that morning.

How difficult would it be to manipulate cctv images- well, just the time stamp?

Correct me if im wrong but i believe he has other witness's to confirm he was at uni also?

And thats a good point if it was just a cctv he is using it wouldn't be hard at all.

Phone records and internet companies are going to play a major part so this crime can be solved i believe. And that takes time....The police will be able to intercept all calls made round the time, texts msgs sent ect. and what devices were connecting to wireless internet in the area. Or phones connecting to towers on other islands

it's pretty clear from thr cctv footage that the person they are seeking had a mobile phone and so did hannah if her phone was taken.

Also lots of people would have being taking photographs that night they were in AC bar...hopefully the police have asked people to forward any media images they have to them, for clues.

Do you have a photo that has both of them in it?

Thanks for posting this picture. Interesting if you look at a distance you see two distinct areas of blood. If you look on a closer level, the left side shows drag marks to the left of screen. The right side of the blood stained sand shows erratic drag marks and quite a lot of them leading to the sea. That side also contains the men's clothes. The underwear appears to be boxers and perhaps denim jeans or shorts with a belt and what looks like David's tshirt.

The left side of screen with the drag marks to the left shows a lot more blood. One wonders as another poster said if Hannah was shot in the head dragged to the rocky enclave and raped. To hide the shooting ...well you know the rest.

I actually think it's obvious on studying this picture that both were physically attacked here at this very spot.

Could the image of one of the "runners" on CCTV be of someone holding a wallet or Hannah's small purse as is seen on the table along with her iPhone in the last picture she was in with the group ?

Well surely the police gathered samples from the ground to determine if they both were seriously injured on that spot, because when the police took David's body out of the water his head was still bleeding heavily so it could be entirely his blood.

I think that might be her wallet on the right.

Can you help me with this photo. Wasn't Hannah's body found further along the beach from where these two bloodstained areas are in the foreground of the photo, in between two rocks? If so, then is it not probable that Hannah was attacked and killed at the first spot where she was found with David and then dragged somewhere more concealed to be raped?

she could have been attacked at that spot but she was defiantly murdered at the spot her body was found

I was flicking through some AC club pics posted on the 16th .....Is this the last photo of david in AC bar?

so many things could have happened and we aint got a clue without seeing all the evidence

Maybe Sean talked to the person who witnessed the murder or maybe Sean witnessed it and returned after the murders holding Davids head, then ran back to his room with his guitar, his clothes stained with David's blood.

At 7.47pm David and his friend Chris Ware were filmed walking towards the bar. They were then recorded at 12.55am leaving, stopping in a convenience store for a toasted sandwich, before walking back to their bungalow.

In a police interview Mr Ware told officers that David then told him he was going out to get some cigarettes but another friend revealed he went instead to nightclub AC to meet up with Hannah and her friend Emma Madeline.

Friends told police that Hannah, from Great Yarmouth, and David, from Jersey, left the club together between 3am and 4am.

well that contradicts what sean put on his fb.....

If you look at footage and photos from AC bar bar or just general cctv footage from koh tao you will notice you don't see many men walking round without a shirt on...well not that i have seen anyway.

was the perp in the cctv footage around the time of the crimes topless for a reason? Most staff of AC bar wear shirts that are the same as many other bars in the area usually do too..

One of the first images was taken at 1.51 am another at 3.44am and the last at 4.49am.

His clothing has changed

So if he left his shorts at the scene and put on David's to escape there must be DNA on these shorts, and if he's a local, someone must recognise him from the CCTV. Is he one of the AC bar owners sons who is being protected? Or one of the Burmese suspects?

Ok, yeh it doesnt look like him but that's what was reported and he apparently confirmed it was him. David went back to his bungalow with his mate Chris from the AC Bar after getting something to eat from a shop. He then told Chris he was going out to get some smokes but actually went to meet up with Hannah and her friend Emma at the AC Bar.

So...i think it would be quite revealing if they obtained Hannah and Davids phone records because i'm sure they would of been texting each other.

Hmm, if he did confirm it was him on CCTV and it wasnt him, there must be a reason. Does he know who this person is?

Also, nothing has been said by investigators regarding mobile phone records. Did they recover phones from both David and Hannah. If they arranged to meet, there might be text/ call records to narrow down timings and provide more details. Also, you would be able to track someone's movements via their phone surely?

Most hotels and bars offer free wifi in the area...and so it would be very easy for the police to contact certain internet companys in the area to see what phones and devices were connected at the time of the murders, if hannahs phone was also trying to connect too free wifi you would be able to see when it was turned off or if had tried to connect to another signal after the crime took place.

It would also be very easy to get information from suspects phones around the time of the murder to see if any calls or texts were made and to who.

His clothing has changed

This cctv image is really strange it looks like the person is covering up there clothing with another article of clothing or the shorts are too big.

So is that the same as this guy? Because this one is confirmed by the manager of AC Bar himself to be him

Do we know from the CCTV what time this image was taken? I'm really puzzled by the lack of a timeline in this investigation. The Thai police have not been slow to reveal other information, but putting a time on the murders is the first thing in a murder investigation. The timing could shed a whole new light on this.

This cctv image is really strange it looks like the person is covering up there clothing with another article of clothing or the shorts are too big.

Those trousers / shorts aren't Davids. So they must belong to a perp. Surely DNA can be got from them? Also someone just mentioned like 25 lots of cctv, which is not surprising. there would deffo be more than just what we have seen. I'd have thought they would have a fair chance of spotting someone wearing those trousers if nothing else. fairly distinctive belt buckle too

But what it comes down to is (a) who is really running the investigation (local or BKK) and (b ) are they willing to go for the real perps?

It keeps getting implied that locals know who it was. if this is so then the local cops know. But do the BKK cops know who? Why should they care about protecting the island crims? It sounded like different forces were trying to go in different directions at some stages. Would BKK big boys not have authority over the dodgy island police?

If so many islanders apparently know who did it why don't some of them just post it anonymously places like here? or fire it off to journos? I can't belive that no-one's conscience is pricking them (I'm talking about those with knowledge, not the low lifes that committed the crimes)

They would be able to get dna from the other articles of clothing and according to reports they have cctv footage from inside of the AC Bar it just hasn't been released to media outlets.
