What I am, personally, more interested in, when and to what extend will the next immigration crackdown happen, following these news, on "foreigners who stay too long, or come too often to Thailand"...

Why should you be personally interested in something that has nothing to do with you? Unless you maybe have something to hide yourself ????

Openly "in your face" wealthy when so many are poor is never a good idea. The destruction indicates an element of hatred over and above merely wanting to steal.

3 houses left empty! How about renting a couple, which would mean someone to keep an eye on the third? OR not sacking/ letting go the maid to save a few baht- it's not like he couldn't afford her.

Burglars were seen- but not stopped, apparently, hmmmm. Wonder why?

I would love to have seen the 2 burglars on motorcycles carrying sofas!????????????????

What would we do without amateur epidemiologists? You know, people who make up their own facts to support their ridiculous comments.

The pandemic killed 15 million people. It's still killing people. It's not the flu! Jesus wept.

By the way, if you enjoy living get your covid and flu shots up to date. They're two separate things. You need both and they're easily available. Or go with the amateur epidemiologists. Let me know how that works out for you.

    14.9 Million Deaths

Do you also believe that the earth is flat?????????????

If the British (and other) embassy here cared at all about the well-being of their citizens they would be calling the Thai government to account for this, with the message that tourists expect traffic to stop at marked crossings and that they must either be enforced or removed.

It's welcome to Thailand! Anybody will any sense when crossing any road checks to see if anything is coming even when people stop for you!!! Every day you see cars and motorcycles flying through crossings.

I hope they catch the driver of the pickup and the guy who was hit makes a full recovery.

Police when doing traffic checks should also check number plates as a lot of people white the number out so as to avoid speeding tickets etc!

Hmmm... I sense a scenario where A (the aforesaid female) conspired with a certain B to make it seem like an unknown C (who happens to be B) took the said valuables.

I'll take the shameless liberty of presuming that A may have intentionally left the door unlocked or even slightly ajar so that, perhaps after SMS-ing B that she and falang are about to have that post-coitus shower, B can zero in on the stash. Seems like the "thief" knew exactly where to zero in and was most likely briefed in advance.

The thief knew that the Flying Dutchman was having a shower and for him to enter the room at the exact right moment, someone in the room must have told him what was happening behind closed doors. Inside job.

Hmmmm it already sounds like inspector cluso is on the case ????????????

I guess that these 2 French guys can rest easy knowing that their number plate of ก-9999 is blurred out in the photos. ????

BTW, that number plate would have cost a mighty packet and would not be on a tourists brand new Porsche.

I'm guessing that these guys will have already paid for some local influential friends and the odd fairy godmother/s somewhere amongst the police ranks.

    Next stop Singapore?

Not if it's a red plate! It belongs to the dealership and is only temporary!

Typical Thai media hysteria inflating the numbers as after living in Philippines for years and seeing every one and their mother owning a firearm there with daily ongoing murders using firearms there is no way Thailand has highest number of guns in the possession of private individuals in Asia.

Highest recorded possession? Many many more unrecorded I would imagine ????

That's not strictly speaking true. You seriously have to watch the baht/£ daily. The problem is that when £ has good news and spikes, it only spikes for say 8 hours, then back to normal or lower, on the other hand when the £ has bad new it tanks against the baht and does not come back after 8 hours, but lingers in the outhouse for days !

    So true
