  1. YES

Isaan is a region comparatively low literacy rate. It is also a region with the highest percentage of low income earners.

This  makes the females vulnerable to fall for foreigners with the intention of making money and for better life.

For the males , alcohol makes it hard for these men to be able to manage their sexual desire.

At least you know when they are lying? Yes, lying comes easy to the average Thai girl. My Wife's sister is the Queen of the liars. Just unbelievable stuff and sadly it damages the whole family. She manages to lie to her 76-year old American partner who is besotted with her not realising the damage she is doing to him. He then takes her side and believes all the sh** she spills out. Horrible, just horrible. I think he'll find out that she's taking his money to give to her ex-thai husband! I hate liars. Fortunately I have not yet caught my wife lying after 6 years together - she's actually too honest for her own good.

Its the lying that makes them win the naive,  and desperate falang.

Maybe, but this sort of thing happens often enough to be a formula.

    Step 1: Wife/gf goes away.

Step 2: Calls partner but no answer.

Step 3: Asks a neighbour to check on partner.

    Step 4: Partner found dead.

    Step 5: BIB rules suicide.

Until farangs will get to know the reason she wants me, these kind of things will only keep happening.

"I want what's in your wa.....ll....t, and l want everything"

    Welcome to LOS

An obvious attempt to justify the Thais based on supposed "arrogance". My experience has been with my college educated girlfriend, who was seemingly amazed when she realized that money just "magically" appeared in my bank account  every month and there

was no employment involved. (except during the previous forty years)  As I've said before, the education level of the particular Thai person does not seem to have much to do with their perceptions. They behave as provincial grovelers before their elite masters, even if

they are lucky enough to have a good education. It almost seems to be a part of their DNA. I get this crap all the time. There is intense

jealousy of farangs and is accompanied by the ridiculous notion that because I have money, it is somehow coming out of THEIR pockets. There is no rhyme or reason to their logic. They believe that native English speakers should not be "taking jobs away from Thais" by teaching English. Ostensibly, they seem to think that any Thai can do this, even though the standard of spoken English is abysmal.

    I agree with you.

Their lack of critical thinking makes it hard for them to understand the fatangs.

They still could have had a chance if they read international media regularly. Business news, cultural news, political news etc.

Unfortunately they are obsessed with social media.

I have met thai university graduates and l realised they know so little not only about the outside world but their own country.

    So sad!

i've travelled quite widely, over 50 countries, and i can say i have never felt hated anywhere. indeed the one over riding memory of my 2.5 years spent travelling round the world was that wherever i was if i had a problem someone always helped me. having said that i was in morocco during the first gulf war and encountered some animosity, and china can at times be challenging.

if you are encountering hate anywhere the first place i suggest you look for the cause is yourself.

These vocab. got nothing to do with yourself: rac.....sm, paran.....ia, zen.....ph.....bia

We are just a victims, not the cause.

  6. The COST OF FACE.

The real cost of face is huge.

Changing the way people think is difficult and almost impossible in a society where people are unaware of their own weaknesses.

What we really NEED is more important than what we WANT. Purchases should always MATCH with ONE'S INCOME.

My monthly salary is 12,000 baht

My car cost 800,000 baht. I had a car loan.

    My iphone cost 24000 baht

Please help me with math. How long will I have to pay for the car loan ?

For my iphone the bank deducts 1000 baht monthly for two years.

Oh I need a condo too ? My childhood friend just bought hers for 1,800,000baht

I need another loan. to buy the condo. I will GAIN MORE FACE if I live in that condominium.

But howmuch will be left in my bank account after all monthly bank deductions ?

    PLEASE HELP ME !

  7. Why are you so naive about emotional issues ?

A lady musn't be a schwarzennegger in order to do a thing like that

What you have to learn is th. missus are very good PLANNERS.

believe me or not. 12 years in LOS has taught me many lessons

As there are so many people speculation the wife must have pushed him which can be considered. But than again, us foreigners are often 20kg up more heavy and lots stronger.

Now I luckily never been in a physical confrontation with my missus or any Thai lady (or man for that matter) but I am 100% sure that my missus could never trow me over our condo balcony, even if she gave it all.

So the pushing seems quite odd to me too. I do also not believe there are so many real jumpers here but I ain't a policeman to find that out.

  8. Oh ! east meets west

Most westerners are cut off from reality when in LOS.

They chase something which isn't REAL. Even after realising, they keep chasing.

Could they do thesame in the west ?

Are they just naive ? Or the emotional feelings towards their partners outpowers their ability to basic thinking ?
