  1. many are quoting the Aussie pension per month, it a fortnight, but paid in 2 fortnights 28 days. I don't know if they can collect every fortnight. but I think not.
  2. Successfully have formed Limited Company - Actual forming company at the Companies Offices only took 1 day, but the lead up paperwork and making shareholders took 4 1/2 weeks. I learnt someone who has a Goverment Welfare card cannot be shareholder, so had to find new shareholder. Hardest part was 'Company Name' every one I came up with one, it was rejected - till finally success (by accident). Will say later (when more time) why I rejected forms of usufruct or 30 year lease.
  3. Sep 2022 Nice Thai man speaks very little English, will open above safe for 700 Baht even though he had to come all the way to Ban Amphur, so I gave an extra 50 Baht. He did not break lock others told me, must break lock and replace. I had a spare key in the safe. 087 609 4997
  4. "I think you need to be more precise on the location in Buriram where are you are looking for builders" Did not give precise location, because purchase is still ongoing, and I don't want another bidder. I was searching for comments to see if it is a feasible proposition. High likely there could be vermin infestation, as property is overgrown (meaning fertile) and neglected, but cheap even by Thai standards. Thanks for all the helpful comments.
  5. I need the names, address and/or telephone numbers of Builders/ Renovators in the Buriram area - would help if they can speak a modicum of English. Looking to do renovations/emergency repairs on an older timber. Thai style house. Initially to do repairs to make it safe and live-able, then to upgrade interior later. Many 'side wall' exterior wooden 'tiles' are damaged or missing. A house like this with this location should be preserved, not just knocked down, to be replaced by 'Brick and Tile'. Thanks in advance.
  6. "How would they know you were a citizen if you presented a foreign passport when exiting? " That may be the case with most European origin citizens - but a Thai would defiantly know another Thai at the Immigration Check Point.
  7. About 4 years ago (pre-COVID) (if anyone can remember pre-COVID) I got a lift to a supermarket in Pattaya, passing the Police box at the top of Pattaya Klang, on Sukhumvit Road, I was in sitting in the front passenger seat of a 4x4 without a seat belt on, as we passed by the Police box at the traffic lights, a Policeman ran out of the Police Box with his camera phone and took a picture of me and the vehicle, but did not speak. about 1 hour later, I passed by the same Police Box going in the same direction, but this time I was on a grossly overcrowded 'White' Songthaew (baht bus), standing on the edge of the tailgate, one hand holding on to a alum pole, the other hand holding on to a Big-C bag 'chocka-block' full of shopping. But this time the Policeman thought is is perfectly safe, but not in a 4x4. White Songthaew's run from Banlamung to the Sattahip Market 95% of the way via Sukhumvit Rd.
  8. I was interested to see how many refereed to a Songthaew (Baht Bus) as a Pick-Up Truck. In Australia it was called a 'Ute'. I think the original design was Australian. The locals call it Songthaew, so as far as I am concern that what it is. When Russians were in Thailand they called it a 'Tuk-Tuk'.
  9. fled on motorbike, then arrested at bus station. You would have been much harder to find, traveling, around the Buriram countryside on a motor bike. Trying to reconcile while holding a knife, obviously that way didn't work.
