  1. Or if you want a swimming

pool with a very relaxing ambiance, there's a resort

type of swimming pool along Sukhumvit 81 Soi Siripot.

Where is this place? I go down 81 all the time I have never seen it?

Is it just a pool you can pay to use?

Along Sukhumvit 81, look for soi Siriphot #198.

Yes, you can pay for a day pass. If you're a member of Now's Fitness, you can get 30% discount.

  2. i cant find fitness first prices on their site. how much does it cost for 2 months in terminal 21?

you mean there is a we fitness in nana? i cant find it.

Large gym chains like Fitness First, True fitness, deliberately don't specify prices, that's the most annoying thing about them. You have to go in and sit down with an 'agent' who basically tries to get as much money / contract length out of you as possible

Check the racquet club prices (rqclub.com) and don't pay more than that for a years membership, as that's a major gym and sports centre that's as good if not better than FF, True, and WE. So use that as a benchmark

That's how they work, I guess it's an industry standard.

You have to tell them your requirements so they can suggest

    specific membership types for you.

    Rule of thumb:

Big gyms will always charge you big!

If you pay less for something, chances are you getting less of it.

I think, the best way to choose a particular fitness center for you

is to prepare a checklist based on the most important factors.

    1. Is it accessible to your work place or home?

    2. Do you prefer to exercise before or after work?

    3. What are you looking for in a gym? do they have it?

    4. How much is your monthly budget?

    5. Do they offer special payment terms to meet your budget?

Never mind the free coffee, cozy lounge & locker area,

cardio movie room, yoga fly room, swimming pool, or any

other facilities that you most likely will NOT use!

Just pay for something that you really need.

  3. There is a new Gym on On Nut 46: https://www.facebook.com/Y.FitnessPremiumClass Thins its behind the new Lumipini buidldings, in an older condo that has a pool.

Looks to be foreigner owned, havent been there myself

That's Y-fitness located inside the village along On nut soi 46.

When I visited them, I almost got lost co'z it's really far from

the main street and I'm worried how to get back to the main

street especially when you workout in the evening?

Yes, they have a pretty good swimming pool!

but please take note that this is NOT exclusive for

members use. All tenants in the building are allowed

    to use it!

So don't be surprise if you see a bunch of families

    dipping on it.

If you really need a swimming pool to do some laps,

you might as well go to Juta sports. it's located in

the main road along On nut. Or if you want a swimming

pool with a very relaxing ambiance, there's a resort

type of swimming pool along Sukhumvit 81 Soi Siripot.

Another thing, the last time I checked, Y-Fitness doesn't

    have spinning classes.

  4. I personally checked Yak Fitness and it's actually look neat.

The only problem is, I don't think it could fit 20-30 people in 1 time?

space is very limited especially if you want to do some WOD's

ํY Fitness on the other hand, has a good facilities also, however, it's located

quite far from the main street. You still have to ride a motorcycle

and for those who are not familiar with the area will find it tedious.

  5. Now's Fitness along On Nut soi 16 is pretty decent for its price actually.

I think the best way is to check them out personally.

They have an English speaking staff to answers all your questions that you may have.

    Directions:

From On Nut BTS station, take a motorcycle along Sukhumvit 81.

Just tell them Now's Fitness On nut Soi 16

Most of drivers knows it very well.

  6. You may check out Now's Studio along On Nut soi 16, Sukhumvit 77.

It's located within the main road so it's very accessible!

Their free weight area are ideal for hardcore weight lifter! very similar to

warehouse type of gyms in the US.

And the best part is,they charged only a fraction of what you pay with We fitness!

  7. I don't want to sound bias, but Now's Studio (On nut Soi 16) can be considered as the best choice here in On nut area

    because of the following reasons:

    1. It's conveniently located along the main road and accessible through mass public transport

    2. They offer complete facilities (A simplified version of those big gyms in the City)

    3. They don't charge joining fee/Registration fee

    4. Doesn't require you to have a credit cards

    5. They offer variety in terms of group exercises classes (Other fitness center doesn't have spinning classes)

    6. Their been in the business since 2004 and currently has 4 branches within Bangkok City

    7. They can offer customized membership packages and payment terms for you.

    8. They have an English speaking manager who can assist you for any concerns that you may have.

  8. I think it depends on the situations, I had the same concern last month and I had the following options:

    1. Do a visa run to Laos to get another Non B - But the problem is, some of the documents are not ready yet.

    2. Do a visa run to Cambodia - But I need to cut my Non B which will incurred additional cost

    3. Stay in Thailand and pay for 2,500 for 5 days overstay

I choosed the option #3 for the following reasons:

1- Some of the documents for Non B visa are not ready (The person handling them was on vacation during that time)

2- If I will exit in Cambodia, I need to pay 1,500 for my Non B to be cut. (That's aside from the visa run fee of 700bht. then I will have another 15 days again)

3- My employer agreed to pay for my 5 days overstay

Of course, I don't want any "overstay" stamp on my passport but I was on the situation that the most practical solution is to over stay.

I don't know, I was really confused during that time. Perhaps, anyone here can suggest what's the best way to handle this kind of

    situation.

  9. Why the agency is the agency advised me to bring social security & tax documents?

My employer is new to this kind of things so I was actually the one doing my own paperworks. My employer is just providing me the needed documents.

Unfortunately, these documents are still on process coz my probationary period just ended this month.

I need to exit at least on Wed coz my Non B was expired last Jan 11. I'm also aware that I need to pay for the overstay already.

So confusing.. I'm hoping to get the most reliable answer to my queries.

    Thank you guys in advance.

  10. Thank you for you reply but it sounds bit complicated for me.

Let me break it down, you mean I need to exit before Jan 11? (I have another 7 days free extension, so I can exit before Jan 18)

I will apply again for Non B to get another 3 months stay until my company finished all the required documents for the extension of my stay based on the expiration of the working permit?

Are we have the same understanding? Thank you

  11. Anyone can advise what to do? I already have WP expiring this Oct. 2015, but my Non B is expiring on Jan 11, 2015. I went to immigration to request for 30 days extension while my company is working on my Visa. But I was declined, they can only extend it for 1 week. Otherwise, I need to exit again and re-apply for Visa. I'm confused what should I do. Please help.. Thank you

  12. Job offer & job contract are some of the requirements in applying for Non Immigrant Visa B. I'm not sure if there's any legal implication about this but you can actually go here as a tourist then find yourself a job. You said there's a good demand of your job here so you have a good chance of getting one. But we both know that you have to take the risk that comes along with it.

  13. Now's Fitness is a local brand and its considered non-pretentious, straight forward kind of gym. Reasonably priced! They have 3 branches (Ari, Phayathai are few steps from BTS stations and 1 in On nut)

Their Zumba and Yoga classes are the best!
